2026 NFL Draft

In my harassing of the Senior Bowl executive Drew Fabianich I mentioned that Jordan Van den Berg deserves an invite. I posted this under OG Keylan Rutledge's senior bowl invite announcement and i got a like from Jordan.

Leonardfan, great job. Peter Woods of Clemson, who appears to be a Asian/African mix, might be a fine player. But if he's projected as a top 10 overall pick by most DWF's and Kiper, there is no reason (other than race) that Jordan van den Berg should not be, at least, a 2nd round pick. None!

Juxtapose their current stats this season: Jordan van den Berg vs. Peter Woods. van den Berg tops him in every notable category. They, basically, play the same schedule, too.

Also, when you look at the workout numbers Jordan has reportedly flashed (post#67), he can not be deemed a "lunchpail" or "overachiever" type, ala Bill Norton, who is currently on the PSquad of the Rams. If anything, he's probably much closer to Norton's Rams teammate Braden Fiske, who was an absolute steal as an early 2nd round pick back in 2024.

Again, van den Berg was twice (2 years) named to The Athletic’s list of college football's athletic “freaks”, reportedly benching 455 pounds, back-squatting 690, running a 4.74 40-yard dash (at 300 lbs.), clocking a shuttle drill of 4.2 seconds and jumping a vertical of 36.5 inches.

He must receive a Senior Bowl invite. Absolute no-brainer. All the Senior Bowl clowns have to do is check his computer/workout numbers, coupled with his on field production.

Two more White OL invited to the Senior Bowl

C Jake Slaughter Florida
OT Alex Harkey Oregon

Shrine Bowl - LB Lander Barton with an invite.

An obvious early trend is White athletes being ignored while black teammates get invites - No invite for Wisniewski for Texas Tech. 2 Iowa players invited - a non-descript unimpressive black CB and the kicker. 5 White defensive players from Iowa deserve invites along with Wetjen.

We see this trend every year and it’s so maddening. This alone should cause DWFs of these programs to question things, as they understand who their top guys are, but I guess most humans are not very intelligent or inquisitive.

I had several SEC DWFs “tell me who cares”
When I posted this under a Burlsworth Trophy thread on X:

So far only 13 of 65 invites to the Senior Bowl are White. The new head of the Senior Bowl is just as bad as Nagy was.

The Senior Bowl looks to be even worse this year. Just a constant flow of nondescript blacks while ignoring the White talent across the country.

ESPN did the NFL Draft prospects for each of the 12 CFB Playoffs Teams

A little more promising for White DBs

Alabama's Bray HUBBARD going in the 2nd Round
Hubbard is ranked as the No. 2 safety in the class by most teams thanks to his playmaking (four interceptions, three forced fumbles) and pro size at 6-foot-2 and 213 pounds.

Oregon's Dillon THEINEMAN 3rd Round pick
Thieneman had a lot of buzz after transferring from Purdue and has lived up to the hype, with two interceptions and 64 tackles on a loaded defense.

Big 6'-4" 220 Texas Tech DB Cole WISNIEWSKI 6th Round

Little too light with the WRs
Only Draft prospect for JMU is Nick DeGennaro made the list as a 7th Round selection
The first-round matchup between Oregon and James Madison might seem like David vs. Goliath, given the number of draftable Ducks versus the one Dukes prospect listed here. But the 6-foot-1, 198-pound DeGennaro has a prime opportunity to prove he can hang with the best of the best when going head-to-head with Dan Lanning's defense.

Of couse up & coming Indiana 6'-4" WR Charlie Becker is just a Soph. But you can see glimpses of talent when he's allowed to play
(6-126 vs Ohio State ; 7- 118 vs Penn State; 5-108 vs Wisconsin)

Also UGA WR London Humphries is just a Junior; hopefully comes back for a solid Senior season

Awesome to see a Safety that high!

DeGennaro has a chance to boost his draft stock tonight against Oregon’s 4 and 5 star CBs!!

Buck and Twenty-Two, wrote extensively (bio, 40 time, ect.) about Degennaro back in early September. And every thing I "typed" still stands. If he's not a legit NFL wide receiver prospect, I'm not sure what one looks like? If he was black, no way he gets beyond round 3. Even Louis Reddick said he was JMU's fastest and most explosive receiver. I'll take it one step ahead, he's JMU's fastest, most explosive and best athlete, overall.

Actually, he could play and start for almost any top team in the nation, except for Ohio State -- we all know ex-CF favorite Brian Hartline does not recruit White wide receivers. Perhaps they remind him to much of himself :sisigay:

Degennaro had a awesome night @ Oregon, with a quarterback that cannot be considered prolific -- 5 catches for 90 yards and a eye-popping TD. According to a net search, he's the son of a 1990's NFL quarterback prospect, so his long TD toss last night makes a bit more sense?

Great post. His stock should obviously be trending upward. He embarrassed the black db for Oregon on his TD catch and run.

Now that the first part of the draft order is set, I'm praying that the Raiders do the smart thing with the #1 pick and draft Mendoza, and leave Magical Moore to go #2 to the Jets. There's so much (((media))) propaganda about how magical the magical one is, however, that the Raiders just might screw up and pick Moore, leaving Mendoza to the Jets, the team where QBs go to die.

Hula Bowl practices started today. I will try to track down official rosters and post. The Shrine Bowl list of invites has improved somewhat, I will post what I can ASAP.

I also noticed the overrated sumo LT from Alabama declared for the draft. Another future bust.

I’m sure they will draft Moore and he’ll have Bowers to bail him out like Mahome’s and Kelce. Mendoza should boycott the jets if he does fall.

On social media I am seeing lots of mixed messages about the Hula Bowl in terms of an event. The Gruden brothers are the head coaches for each team. Frankly, I am surprised that Jon Gruden seems to be far removed from NFL and even major college football as the Hula Bowl is viewed as one of the two lower tier NFL draft all star showcases.

I looked over what looks to be a fairly complete list of invites and here are some names that stick out:

QB
Derek Robertson, Monmouth
Jake Retzlaff, Tulane
Blake Shapen, Mississippi State
Athan Kaliakmanis, Rutgers

RB
Dean Connors, Houston
Truman Werremeyer, North Dakota State

WR
Reggie Retzlaff, Colorado State-Pueblo

TE
Hudson Habermehl, UCLA
Bauer Sharp, LSU
JT Byrne, Georgia Tech
Dan Villari, Syracuse
Lance Mason, Wisconsin
Louis Hansen, UConn
Carsen Ryan, BYU
Evan Svoboda, Wyoming

DT
Gabriel Rubio, Notre Dame

DE
Michael Heldman, Central Michigan

LB
LB Jackson Kuwatch, Miami-Ohio

As usual, a real lack of White athletes on defense.

I also just came across an interesting bit of news that was never on my radar. An FCS only showcase took place during this past weekend leading up to the FCS championship. Quite a few standout White athletes were invites.

  • Derek Anderson, TE, Northern Iowa
  • Seth Anderson, OL, North Dakota
  • Aidan Bouman, QB, South Dakota (son of former NFL QB Todd Bouman) Very good pro prospect IMO
  • Paul Brott, DT, Montana State
  • Liam Brown, OL, Montana
  • Alex Bullock, WR, South Dakota State
  • Rex Connors, S, UC Davis
  • Tim Coutras, DB, Tennessee Tech
  • Sam Hagen, OL, South Dakota State
  • Derek Robertson, QB, Monmouth
  • Michael Shulikov, WR, Idaho State
  • Daniel Sobkowicz, WR, Illinois State

Senior Bowl invites so far. My guess is this is fairly close to the final invite list. Only surprises would be underclassmen yet to declare. It's a very typical roster composition. Plenty of players invited from bad teams. Plenty of unproductive players given yet another chance to show off their "upside". Several White offensive tackles have been invited so it will be worth keeping an eye how many of them get projected to move to the interior OL because of "arm length". QB class is solid - the 4 White QBs all have NFL potential and as we have seen in the past a big performance may help elevate their stock. Curious to see if Cole Payton gets any sort of Wentz like pre draft boost. Robertson is a gunslinger, Nussmeier a highly intelligent QB with good mobility and arm but was hampered by injuries and a bad coaching staff. Altmyer was a gamer so I will be rooting for him as well. The TE depth is at least very solid. I will add any names as I come across them to the thread.

My guess is Carson Beck will get an invite as will Ty Simpson if he declares.

QB
Sawyer Robertson Baylor
Garrett Nussmeier LSU
Cole Payton NDSU
Luke Altmyer Illinois

TE
John Michael Gyllenborg Wyoming
Josh Cuevas Alabama
Tanner Koziol Houston
Sam Roush Stanford
Nate Boerkircher Texas A&M
Marlin Kline Michigan

OL
Delby Lemieux Dartmouth (OT)
Kage Casey Boise St (LT)
Beau Stephens Iowa (C)
Jake Slaughter Florida (C)
Alex Harkey Oregon (OT)
Austin Barber Florida (LT)
Trey Zuhn III Texas A&M (LT)
Samuel Hecth Kansas St (C)

DE
Max Llewellyn Iowa
Jack Pyburn LSU
Cian Slone NC St

LB
Jack Kelly BYU
Bryce Boettcher Oregon
Owen Heinecke Oklahoma

DB
Michael Taaffe Texas
