2026 College Football Week 3

Ruthers
Charlie BECKER 79 Yard TD Catch!! This is Jordy Nelson-isk
Click to 2nd Frame / VIDEO

Wow, he came to near a dead stop for the under thrown pass, DB catches up to him and he just kicks it back into gear and glides away for the touchdown. Might be the best receiver prospect we’ve had in a while.

Walendzak with an overtime short TD run.
Solid game sharing carries.
Toledo ahead of Temple (who went with Ajani over the lunchpail kid at QB)

Iowa is winning by a million points early in the fourth quarter.
Will Kirk Ferentz put in Doll to get some garbage carries?

There are at least 4 backs ahead of him on the depth chart.

Lincioln Kienholz continues his fast start against SMU.

Crazy to see Toledo come back and win. Bearcats also coming back was a surprise. Cade Wolford can be added to the list of White WRs making boneheaded transfer portal decisions.

USC defense giving up 35 to Rutgers. They will falter down the stretch as they always do under cuck Riley.

You beat me to it. I am worried for Carson Hansen. This is his last chance to impress the NFL. He needs the rock in his hands. One of the other running backs has 2 tds already. The other guy has a huge run which made his stats look great. It's a meaningless game in a blow out but our guys get screwed over so much that I just don't like what I'm seeing!
Yeah, he probably screwed himself going to Penn State. Looks like there’s three blo
Backs ahead of him on the box score today one of them averaged 10 yards per carry.

In an inter-Florida matchup, Maguire Anderson (139) and Easton Messer (83) lead their respective teams in receiving. For Anderson it was his second straight hundred yard effort.

@TwentyTwo - Great summary as always!

It was nice to see some bigger games from the RBs. It's too bad ISU didn't let Flora get to 200 hundred rushing yards and Illinois didn't give Laughery a few more carries to hit 100 yards. I agree with the discourse around Hansen too, he followed Campbell over and was a reliable solid running back at ISU only to be pushed down the depth chart. Still early in the season but it does not seem Hansen will be the bellcow for PSU.

Toledo QB John Alan Richter - 429 yards 4 TDs!

Some more FCS standouts from the week:

Stony Creek QB Quinn Boyd - 198 yards passing 1 TD 153 yards rushing

Montana St RB Adam Jones - 18 carries 122 2 TDs / 6 reception 92 yards - a vintage performance for this explosive athlete!
Colgate RB Danny Shaban - 29 carries 134 yards 1 TD
Brown RB Matt Childs - 14 carries 53 yards 2 TDs /3 receptions 95 yards
San Diego RB Adam Criter - 28 carries 179 yards 1 TD / 2 Receptions 9 yards

Furman WR Luke Shields 7 rec 133 yards 1 TD

Some quick observations

- LSU really disappointed but that is par for the course with Kiffin isn't it? Not sure why they have Leavitt playing hero ball rather than playing QB at a competent level from the pocket. Not every White QB needs to try to be Josh Allen but every White QB needs to learn to play the game from the pocket.

- The majority of SEC teams cannot play defense. The league is basketball on grass. I'd argue the Big Ten is a much better defensive conference.

- Mateer has been a huge let down at OU, maybe all that criticism of him hitting the weight room is warranted because it certainly has not elevated his performance on the field. Oklahoma has no running game, their defense is one of the few good ones in the SEC though. Just like LSU with Leavitt not every White QB needs to be Josh Allen.

- Although it was against an FCS foe, Iowa's offense looked good. Hank Brown has been solid through the first quarter of the season with Big Ten play coming up. They face Michigan next week.

Through three games:

Iowa has allowed 13 points
Indiana has allowed 16 points
PSU has allowed 22 points
Notre Dame has allowed 23 points
Oklahoma has allowed 23 points
Utah has allowed 24 points

All of these defenses have White contributors and are the top scoring defenses in the nation through 3 games.

Good observation! The best defenses always consist of White contributors but sadly we are the only ones who notice.

Meanwhile the SEC defenses are absolute swiss cheese. I wonder when the "experts" are going to admit to that. They will probably just use the excuse the SEC gets the best affletes and all the affletes are now playing offense. That's the goy brained argument of 98% of football fans when bringing up the SEC.

Especially when these “best athletes” can’t seem to win a playoff game against a good team not in their own conference!

I will do some spamming tonight!

I’ll be sure to mention the stout honkey friendly defenses as well!

THANKS for wrapping up the FCS for me Leonardfan ! On NCAA website never saw Montana State score; meant to see if they already had BYE Week...But It was late (been long week too) TV had been on College Football for 14+ hours (11:00am CST UGA @ Arkansas til 1:30am Fresno/San Jose St)
RB Adam JONES is usually one of the 1st FCS stats i look for ; along with RB Luke YODER & QB Beau BRUNGARD

How did i miss the Toledo QB after posting RB Connor Waldendzak?! geez...long day

>>>>I like "Stony Creek" better than "Stony Brook" by the way lol

Agreed on the let down!
Sam Leavitt (not the best o-line+ new WRs lost 6'-7" TE 4th qtr/injury ) & John Mateer have been let downs; some of my favorite QBs
Bad call pulling Leavitt on a 3rd & goal short gimmick play that was stuffed ; after leading LSU 3 consecutive series for TDs

Former Iowa State RB Carson Hansen transferring has opened the door for an All purpose Back Aidan Flora to flourish! He is making the Cyclones must see TV once again!
