Looking ahead to Week 3's action.
Thursday
Syracuse vs Pitt - I praised Angeli last week and he delivers a 3 INT dud against Cal. Hope he bounces back this week but I'll mostly be tuning in to see Pitt QB Mason Heintschel. 2 of the top 3 tacklers for the Orange are LBs Chris D'Appolonia and Anointe Deslauriers. Pitt's defense only offers DL Sean FitzSimmons and neither team has any other standouts on the offensive side of the ball.
Friday
Houston vs Texas Tech - This should be a fairly entertaining affair and one of the more White friendly match ups of the week. Houston's usage (lack thereof) of Oregon St transfer WR Trent Walker has been a big let down early in the season. Texas Tech has been ok through two games. It would be good to see Will Hammond get more comfortable at QB and Coy Eakin more involved in the passing game. The Red Raiders with 4 impact players - LBs Ben Roberts, Austin Romaine and John Curry along with DE Adam Trick help give them a comfortable advantage over a very black Houston team. It will be an interesting early season test to see where both teams really stand after the best QB playing in the state of Oregon (hint: it's not Moore) shredded both secondaries over the first two weeks of the season.
Saturday
Georgia vs Arkansas - Georgia is near the top of teams to root for in the soon to be HBCU SEC and they don't have much to root for. The only saving grace for UGA is QB Gunner Stockton who has started the season off hot. If his name were Trinidad and he had a tan the media hype around him would be much louder. That said UGA has demoted WR London Humphreys and their only other start appears to be C Drew Bobo. Don't be fooled as Lawson Luckie isn't White. Arkansas got the sh!t kicked out of them last week by a more palatable Utah team and would expect the Bulldogs to throttle them this week as well.
Kent St vs Ohio St - The Buckeyes get a home game against a MAC opponent after losing to the Mumbai Longhorns last week. Julian Sayin will have to be near perfect in this game and every game through the rest of the season or will face the Buckeye goy cult calling for one of the many black qbs to save the season.
Buffalo vs Penn St - PSU didn't look quite as dominant against a competitive Temple team for most of the game. Becht has been as efficient as any QB in the country so far but we would all like to see Hansen achieve bellcow status in this game to get him on a sure pace for a 1k yard season. Let's hope that TE Benjamin Brahmer and WR Brett Eskildsen continue to be offensive contributors as well. It's also a nice change scanning over the PSU stats and seeing a smattering of White LBs as defensive contributors.
Bowling Green vs Iowa St - Eddie George's MAC to HBCU conversion experiment isn't going as planned early this season. Iowa State played Iowa well in the 3 point loss last week. Biggest thing to look out for is Aiden Flora having a potential breakout game at running back and Isaac Terrell trying to up his sack count. S Drew Surges was injured in the game last week, hoping it's not a season ender.
Arizona St vs Kansas - Cutter Boley didn't deliver an upset last week but played well in defeat against one of the better albeit blacker defenses in the country. I'd wager to say he was the best QB on the field in the game. I'd expect him to have a good performance against the Jayhawks. Although it was only a few carries it was positive to see RB Grayson Rigdon get some reps against A&M. It seems like the coaching staff is invested in developing him as a running back.
Mercer vs Ga Tech - The younger Mendoza has struggled a little in the first few weeks of the season. Facing Mercer might help him find his footing (although he looked good against Colorado). Mercer's leading WR is Brayden Smith.
UNC vs Clemson - This is a decent early game matchup. It sounds like Tait Reynolds is the QB for the foreseeable future and maybe permanently. He played well last week against Ga Southern and it was good to see DE Will Heldt and S Ronan Hanfin involved on defense. LB Sammy Brown has been solid through two games. UNC also has a decent number of White contributors - namely LB Derek McDonald, LB Peyton Seelman, DB Coleman Bryson and DL Nicco Maggio. QB Billy Edwards has been solid through two games.
Akron vs Minnesota - The Gophers failed last week against Mississippi State. Drake Lindsey has been efficient but PJ Fleck seems to like a conservative offensive game plan. This shouldn't be an issue against Akron and their 5'9 170 QB. I'd expect a bounce back win for the Gophers.
Eastern Michigan vs Wisconsin - Another MAC vs Big Ten game I fully expect to go in the Big Ten's favor. At the very least QB Colton Joseph should be able to put up some good numbers and maybe have a big game with his legs. EMU LB Zach Mowchan is currently tied for 1st in the nation in tackles and DB Jason Marshall is the second leading tackler on the team with an INT. For the Badgers their current top 3 tackling leaders are overachieving-Americans - LB Cooper Catalano, DB Matthew Jung and LB Mason Posa. However Posa was injured in the last game and might be out for a few weeks.
NC State vs Vanderbilt - Not too much going on in this one outside of my interest in true freshman QB Jared Curtis for the Commodores. It will be interesting to see how he does as the level of competition increases. LB Nick Rinaldi is one to watch for on defense. NC State offers nothing of interest besides rooting against their hyped up QB.
Florida St vs Alabama - Will this be the game that ends Novell's tenure as yet another caste disciple who had the caste system fail him?
USC vs Rutgers - USC's early season schedule is a joke. Free Mikey Munn! Also, throw Lonergan back in their GTW!!!!
SMU vs Louisville - It's mostly a coal bowl by QB Lincoln Kienholz has been a pleasant early season surprise. Rooting for him to have a big game here.
N. Iowa vs Iowa - Hopefully another exhibition type game for the Hawkeyes to get their offense in order before Big Ten play kicks off. I want to be a Hank Brown believer!
Duke vs Stanford - A matchup of formerly prestigious educational schools. Should be a good number of White athletes especially on both defenses. Decent afternoon game to watch.
La Tech vs Baylor - Hopefully QB Nate Bennett starts again because it makes Baylor a team to root for. Gavin Freeman has been huge the first 2 games of the season after being underused at both Oklahoma and Oklahoma St. RB Dawson Pendergrass has been effective through two games as well, nice seeing him back after missing last season with an injury. For La Tech they have a solid QB and backup QB that gets alot of carries and while watching the LSU game I was pleasantly surprise to see RB Andrew Burnette back for one more season. The Bulldogs also have TE Eli Finley, LB Grayson Hardy and DE Lane Condry. This has potential to be an entertaining matchup.
ECU vs Old Dominion - It seems that Old Dominion has a niche in finding dual threat White QBs. After Colton Joseph departed for Wisconsin, Quinn Heinecle has stepped in and performed well early on this year.
FIU vs FAU - Teams that are almost mirror images of each other - both have strong armed pocket passing QBs (Kohl and Veltkamp) and each teams top target is a White WR. For the Owls it is Easton Messer who does not get the recognition he deserves on the national level and for the Panthers Maguire Anderson could surpass his output from all of last season by the end of the month.
Murray St vs Oklahoma St - The Cowboys have given the season the first big upset of the year last week against Oregon. Drew Mestemaker was the most exciting player on the field as well as best QB in the game. Wyatt Young also had a big game against the Ducks. I won't expect them to play much this week once the game gets out of hand.
Ohio vs South Alabama - Rooting for the Bobcats in this caste matchup
Michigan St vs Notre Dame - This game might be closer than the spread indicates (-29.5). It will be interesting to see how Fitgerald fares against a top 5 opponent in the country. Milivojevic has been mistake free and efficient through the first two games and DT Eli Coenen has 3 sacks. For the Irish QB CJ Carr is in complete control of the offense, playing like a multi-year starter despite only being a RS Sophomore.
LSU vs Ole Miss - One of the few SEC games I will personally have much interest in this year. I'd like to see Sam Leavitt have a mistake free game and revert back to his 2024 form. Right now he is playing too fast causing mistakes to be made including throwing the ball into the middle of the field resulting in turnovers. LB Whit Weeks looks to be completely healthy and is a top 3 LB in the country. For Ole Miss the only thing worth checking out is LB Luke Ferelli.
BYU vs Colorado St - Rooting for the Rams in this one. A few years ago that would have been considered blasphemy but the Cougars have fallen quite a bit. CSU is led by dynamic dual threat Hauss Henjy who is healthy and as a sophomore at his third school after transferring from TCU to Ok State. The Rams leading receiver through two games is Jackson Harper. For BYU it's encouraging to see Kyler Kasper finally get a chance after wasting 4 seasons at Oregon. Apparently, he is only a junior and will have an additional year of eligibility. CB Cannon DeVries leads the team in tackles.
WVU vs UVA - The Cavaliers have been dominant in their first two games of the year. QB Beau Pribula has been very good and the Mountaineers have had two cupcakes thus far. I hate Rich Rodriquez and his role in really watering down offensive football to simplistic levels. Rooting for a blowout here by UVA.
Colorado vs Northwestern - I hate that Chip Kelly (another culprit in dumbing down of offenses along with Rodriquez, Meyer, Chizik etc) decided to bring in an overrated black QB to Northwestern. I hate Colorado even more though so hope that it's an ugly game decided by the Wildcats defense and Griffin Wilde putting up big numbers.
Va Tech vs Maryland - It is certainly a game of slim pickings. Grunkenmeyer has played well for the Hokies at QB and TE Luke Reynolds looks to be an emerging talent at the position. This is otherwise a total coal fest with Maryland being among the blackest teams in the country.
UTSA vs Texas - The Longhorns big 4th quarter comeback was the second biggest story from week 2 after the Oklahoma St upset of Oregon. Manning was better than his stats indicate as his two consensus 5 star WRs - Wingo and Coleman both made big time mistakes. Manning is really the only reason to watch this game as he works towards building a Heisman resume.
Montana vs Oregon St - Will probably end up watching this one to see what Braden Atkinson does. Might have the chance to hit 1k yards passing in the third game of the season. Sad to report Montana's QB goes by the name of Keali'i Ah Yat.
Fresno St vs San Jose St - SJSU is a bit of a sleeper team. They managed to put up 26 points in week 1 vs USC and avoided a blowout. QB Luke Weaver has been excellent as well in his redshirt senior season after transferring from Hawaii (we know how they keep their QBs as poly as possible). WR Cooper Hoch has also emerged out of obscurity to become Weaver's go to target.
