2025 Track Results

Rohan Browning ran 10.16 (1.7w) at another meet in France today.

At least he is racing more than most of our sprinters. I think many guys are holding back on purpose as to when they will peak. With the Olympics and European Championships ususally earlier in the summer. The World Athletics Championships are not till Mid September so
pacing yourself over the long summer is a good idea. Hope Browning takes some time off as we still have well over 2 months until the
world champs starts.

Yeah I agree. Browning is a very good high level sprinter. I hope there is something that he can find with training or form or anything to at least get one sub 10. Being so close has to eat a sprinter up.

Peyton Bair is the NCAA Champion of the Decathlon.
He set a new PB with an overall score of 8323. That's a collegiate leading time, and the 10th best score in the world so far this year.

Hopefully his performance inspires his little brother Gaitlin, to get back to the track.
Peyton is transferring to Oregon for his senior season. He will be joining his brother Gatlin, who starts his collegiate football career in 2026.
I hope Peyton can get his brother to run track.

Towa Uzawa of Japan won the Japanese Championships Men's 200 final in 20.12, equaling his PB from the Asian Championships.

Coby Hilton wins the race in 10.30. Seems he may have had a slight hamstring pull afterwards.
Meanwhile Jack Hale raced in Spain and came 5th in 10.45.

both very slow times. I hope his hamstring isn't serious as they are not fun. If Hale has once again digressed to a 10.45 (unless running into a -6w with a torrential downpour going on) maybe its time to hang up the spikes.

Yeah I can’t imagine there’s much money in running professionally if you’re a 10.2 guy. Unfortunately Hale never really blossomed as we had hoped, but that’s ok that’s how sprinting works. Will have to wait and see how Hilton does going forward, but 10.3’s aren’t going to get it done. Hopefully if it’s a hamstring it’s not too serious.

Coby Hilton reminds me of Morne Nagel. Great 60 meters sprinter but not the best 100 meters guy. That's ok though. He is chasing his dream and I respect that. I always hope to be proven wrong. I think he is also similar to Richard Kilty but not as powerful.

Jack Hale was just a guy that peaked as a teenager. Similar to Kristoffer Hari. Many white & black sprinters peak as teenagers. I'm hoping
this doesn't always happen to Marek Zakrzewski. He is only 20 years of age though so it's way too early to give up on him. I think he must
have had a serious injury as he skipped indoors and then has been running in neutral or reverse outdoors only a few times.

Natural sprinters don't last very long. Their bodies burn out. The guys who are willing to make a deal with the devil and take PEDs can take on the heavy training loads year after year and obtain great improvements. The short sprints are totally explosive events. They have many of the same biomechanic elements as powerlifting, or weightlifting. Hilton looks natural. He just can't compete.

This new Kishane guy from Jamaica looks like a bodybuilder. I mean, I know I'm preaching to the choir, but what if our guys had no scruples and went Jamaican. What kind of times would they put up?

the Jamaicans have a long history with steroid use. To be fair a ton of guys are using but Thompson is a rather obvious example. Gatlin is one of the most cooked cases in history. Runs really fast, gets busted and banned for a couple years. Comes back even faster but is now clean…..lol

Trey Cunningham won the Monaco Diamond League 110-meter hurdles today in 13.09. He is very consistent.

Josh Hoey managed a new PB of 1:42.01 to place 2nd in the men's 800 meters.

That’s the second fastest time in the world this year and the 11th fastest 800 ever. An incredible run!

Rohan Browning ran 10.16 (1.7w) at another meet in France today.
word has it here that he's endeavouring to keep his selection points up in order to keep his spot in the final 48 athletes to run the 100 at Worlds while simultaneously doing training blocks before peaking . again. That can't be easy - his 10.00 was in March and he's got to do it all again 6 months later.
The last 2 placings have moved him up 6 places making his selection more certain

Domenic Kopek ran 10.18 and then 10.15 (0.1w) in Finland today.
On his good days, like today, he's very good. But unfortunately, he's wildly inconsistent.

Yes a great result for him but remember that he is 30 years of age now. Without taking the magical yams it's rare to get faster in your 30's.
He still has helped inspire alot of the young sprinters in Poland and I'm thankful for that.

The European Mens Under 23 Championships starts in 4 days. Heiko Gussman of Germany is the favorite in the Mens 100 meters. He has the fastest time in Europe in this category with a wind legal 10.15! I would love to see him win the gold and dip down to around 10.10.
We will have many young men and women to root for next week. Let's hope for some great performances!

In addition to Heiko Gussmann another sprinter & hurdler is the dual sport Spaniard Able Jordan.

Also watch out for Spain’s Abel Jordan who has entered both the 100m and 110m hurdles. Jordan has clocked 10.26 in the 100m this year but looks capable of going much faster based on his 60m lifetime best of 6.54 set in winning his national indoor title.

Another sprinter to keep on the radar is Gabriel Maia from Portugal. I believe he is white but finding pics of him to confirm is a little difficult. He has a 10.17 +0.4 this year along with a windy 10.09. The rest of his 100m times have been pretty pedestrian. His personal bests in the 60 and 200 are 6.75 and 20.98 so nothing really to ride home about but he is only 22 and he’s steadily been improving his 100m every year. Maybe someone can confirm that he is a white?

According to wikepedia and countless studies have been done on this subject. About 72 percent of people from portugal identify as white. So that's about 3 out of ever 4 people that live there. Yes they came from many parts of Europe. They are similar to Argentina which is a huge majority white and considered a white nation. So yes Gabriel Maia is white.

German Sprinter Marvin Schulte ran a seasons best of 10.20 today in Belgium. I had high hopes for this kid as a teenager. He has been mostly average or below average as a senior. However this year he is at 26 years of age finally reaching those higher gears he hit as a teenager. The guy is very tall and takes a while to get going but those huge strides eat up the track. Would like to see him break his personal best this summer after all of the years of struggling. I have to give him alot of credit for sticking with the sport. Good luck to him the rest of the summer.

Sam Blaskowski who just graduated college a month ago has now turned pro. He is running the 100 meters in Edmonton, Canada today. I don't expect much from him as he has had a very long indoor and outdoor season in college. Plus times in Canada are usually slower than
the average. I'm glad he has turned pro but I hope his coach takes it easy on him this summer. Give his body time to rest and come back in 2026 with fire and ice in his veins ready to rumble. This guys is so fun to watch and I still would prefer he goes to Poland to run for their National Team. Either way we will be rooting for you Sam!
