Tiaan Whelpton - very engaging sort of man. Bright young fellow by the sounds of it

lol yes. And the point that there is 100 times more chance he'll run into a billionaire on the street than of running into someone who can run faster. That really puts things into perspective.I really appreciate you posting this video mate. Great to see some of the training and to hear this young mans thoughts. Also love the confidence about Whelpton saying he is one of the 30 or 40 fastest men on earth!
can't wait to see Mia hit her straps - steady, steady MIa. No more injuries pleaseMia Brahe-Pederson ran 23.65 200 meters on Jan. 22 at a meet at Texas Tec for 4th place. It was her first race in over a year due to injuries.

Matt Boling ran a 32.82 300 meter to finish in third place at the New Balance Grand Prix yesterday. I didn't see him listed for any other races.
He looked pretty good I think. Rai Benjamin and Vernon aren't nobodies
it's not an elite world time but if it is his first attempt at 300m (it is listed as a PB and his only entry for 300m in his IAAF profile) then it's a good start. He lacked a little after that final bend but that may just indicate where he is right now in training.Mastermulti, I was wondering if Boiling's time was considered good or not. I have followed track and field events for 50+ years but never took the time to learn about the times people posted just if they won. Thanks for the video and much success in your track events.
Thanks for the information mastermulti: I can't believe how a 5m improvement could change people's perspective of Boling, from average to excellent. I think he can do it relax a little bit more. He always look tight running.it's not an elite world time but if it is his first attempt at 300m (it is listed as a PB and his only entry for 300m in his IAAF profile) then it's a good start. Total elite is 31s. Only about 40 men all-time have achieved that (4 of them have high 30s).
He won't get that but he could improve to 32 lows IMO. Anyone in the low 32s is a great performer so I'd like to see him in several more 300s to see if he's peaking.
Rai Benjamin's time in this race puts him 75 all-time, Boling's is around number 350. Imagine 275 people fitting into that 0.6 of a second space between them in that race. A few tenths means jumping a huge number on the list.
A 5m improvement would bring him from "pretty good" to "excellent" ......so can he do it?
