2025 Track Results

Tiaan Whelpton, back in NZ today after his little jaunt to Australia to run 60m races had his first 100m hit out of the season.
The result was 10.10 (+2.0) and he's now number 2 NZ all-time only .02 away from the record.
He should comfortably lower this soon if he can stay healthy.
Liam Adcock (Australia) jumped 8.21m at the same Auckland meeting today

In Dusseldorf, Germany today Henrik Larsson matched his career p.b. of 6.54 in the 60 meters for the win. He has been on fire the last 2 years both indoors and outdoors. Excited to see what he can do this summer. Hoping for that sub 10 that eluded him last summer but he is getting closer all of the time. Let's hope he finally shatters that barrier this year and can be in fine form for the World Championships this summer!

Good to see Samuel Ceccarelli finally put up a descent time. He ran a time of 6.64 for a new seasons best.

In case anyone here wants to rewatch the Dusseldorf Meet from Germany yesterday. It was a good one. You can either watch a 21 minutes
hilite video or the whole meet at this link.

Vanderweken makes a nice comeback. Luckenkemper has put on some weight.

Germany’s Max Hess produced the second-best leap of his life, and his farthest jump in eight years, to win the men’s triple jump with a world-leading 17.41m from Italy’s Andy Diaz Hernandez (17.31m).

well, here's hoping. Yep, it's Jack Hale back running well again - after some difficult years he has some spring back. This last weekend he won this Gift handicap 120m race from the back mark - on grass, slightly uphill, 12.21 easing up.
Those in the know reckon he's got a track 10.10 in him soon. We'll see - but he does say he's running without pain for the first time in years - it's understandable that constant pain will affect your training so I hope the season goes well for him

I would love to see a Hale Storm return in Australia. The guy has been through so much but has never given up the sport he loves. It would be fitting to see him running fast again. It's a feel good story and I admire Hales Passion to never give up despite all his fans leaving him.

Mia Brahe-Pederson ran a 23.48 200 meter on 2/7/25. A slight improvement from her first race. Hoping she will have a healthy year.

I can see a relay time coming down into the 37s really soon if Hale comes back into the team healthy.
If you find some of our Aussie men relay runs on youtube you'll see he's a great bend runner comparable to almost anyone out there

A young female sprinter to keep a close eye on is Karolina Manasova. She is 21 years of age and already has personal best times in the 60 meters of 7.19 and a wind legal 11.11 over the 100 meters! I see big things coming in her future.

German Sprinter Heiko Gussmann ran a new p.b. of 6.57 today for the win in Germany. Kevin Kranz of Germany also finished in 3rd place
with a time of 6.61. Keep a close eye on Heiko Gussmann. He is so young yet the 2nd fastest German Sprinter Indoors all season so far. I can't wait to see what he can do outdoors.

Brody Buffington ran a 6.66 60 meter today at the Tiger Paw Invitational.

Erik Erlandsson, 20 yrs old of Sweden, ran 20.43 200m today in Sweden.
Since running this 20.43 in mid January, he ran 20.43 again in early February, and 20.45 yesterday in France.
These are 3 fastest times in Europe this season.

His previous PB was 20.49, done outdoors in 2024.
So he may be ready to go low 20s this outdoor season.

Boling 45.72 at Clemson meet today.

I keep considering changing my profile picture. He would rather run average 400 meters the majority of the time instead of running the 100 and 200 meters. He ran a sub 10 and sub 20 in college. So let's be rocket scientists and move him away from the short sprints.

ABSOLUTE STUPIDITY AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL BY EVERYONE INVOLVED WITH PAVING HIS CAREER!

I remember when Lemaitre began to regress. I get the same feeling with Boling.

Yes it's eerily similar but Lemaitre had a higher peak than Boling. Schippers was the same thing but her peak was the highest of the 3 athletes so in the beginning it wasn't as obvious.

He must be an 800m runner  his career has been completely derailed
