2025 NFL Week 3

What are the chances of Mike McPoptart being fired if the Dolphins lose this one?
This is from Grok. Ha

In short: A win (unlikely, at +400 moneyline odds) drops the firing risk to near-zero for now. A close loss keeps it at 5-10%. A humiliating rout? Bump it to 30-40%, as Ross’s patience wears thin and the “fire McDaniel” chorus becomes deafening. The broader 2025 firing odds suggest it’s coming eventually, but tonight’s the tipping point.

Interesting game so far. Not sure why McDermott didn’t challenge the Tyreek bobble catch. I’m sitting on my patio with a jack and coke and saw an incomplete pass. He has a billion dollar organization and nobody could alert him to challenge?

The NFL is like Flag Football compared with how it was played in the old days. Men were men back then.
I watched that Jerry Jones./cowboys doc last night and I can’t believe the beatings Aikman took. What a tough SOB. He played his best game with the concussion and he couldn’t even remember what happened until he watched the game after he got out of the hospital. Unbelievably, he played excellent and they won. Guys these days wouldn’t last one half in the 90s or earlier. Allen probably could.

And right on time, Pua Turndaballova does what he does best. And yet this guy still has a starting job while Ryan Tannehill rots in free agent purgatory. If the Dolphins were smart they'd trade for Mac Jones or Kenny Pickett.

Rooting for the Dolphins to lose here. Their slide pushes them up the draft board and also gives either Zach Wilson or Quinn Ewers an opportunity to get some starts this season.

I don't think Tagovailoa is a necessarily bad QB but he isn't better than Mac Jones who is on his third team in 3 seasons while Tagovailoa has enjoyed 4 seasons of stability in the same offensive system (admittedly he has a scary injury/concussion history). When adding Bryce Young to the conversation Nick Saban has done an excellent job fooling the so called draft gurus and a league full of supposed personnel experts for his whole tenure at Alabama as it became the feeder school into the NFL. Jones certainly had the shortest leash and worst circumstances of any of the three Alabama QBs yet he is the most talented of them.

Back to Saban he saw 133 players from Alabama drafted during his tenure as coach and many have not panned out. Another fine example of the laziness of the NFL drafting by college name and not much else. Not to say there were not some good players but there were quite a few absolute busts, many that did not live up to the hype and lots that were just melanin colored players that went to Alabama so they got selected.

Just start Zach Wilson or Quinn Ewers.

The Longhorn boosters and fans that pushed Ewers out of Austin for Manning probably regret that decision now.
