2025 NFL Week 3

I have 6-1:
Wins
Colts - Titans
Bills - Dolphins
Jaguars - Texans
Bucs - Jets
Browns - Packers
49ers - Cards

Loss
Rams - Eagles

What game was the 7th win?
The black QB push is starting to lose steam. Very obvious in the NFL but even more apparent at the college level where, despite the constant pressure from Rivals and ESPN to push players like LaNorris Sellers, DJ Lagway, and Bryce Underwood, virtually every competitive team is fielding a white QB.

Tonight's game it's also clear Lamar, who along with Vick is the only pure "athlete at QB" to ever work out, has lost a step. He's a capable thrower but showed again that he can't sit in the pocket and win. Mahomes has also regressed badly for the same reason.

After so many games in recent years with (relatively) white-friendly offenses being let down by coal-black defenses, it was refreshing to see a dark offense let down by a dark defense. And on the other side, the Lions' (relatively) white-friendly defense was dominant tonight.

8-1 this week

Sounds like I missed a good one!

Also tempting me to bet against the Black QBs! Lol

The fact that he is playing as the featured running back, is about as good as it gets.
Plus NYC is a big media market. So I don't think you can ask for more in today's NFL.

Safe to say the NFL has a QB problem brewing for one obvious reason and some underlying reasons not discussed by the media "experts".

- No skin in the QB development game for most teams
- The same offensive scheme being used across the whole league - no variations in offenses. It's all pretty much the same. No west coast offense, no power running formations, minimal play action. Urban Blight, Rich Rod and Cuck Riley's remedial offenses are now the norm in the NFL.
Urban Blight himself said his job was to win college championships not develop NFL QBs. I think that to keep the defenses from catching up to this trend of this "revolutionary" QB play the defenses should only be allowed 10 players vs the O's 11 players.

Could be the new winning strategy you mention. I knew a guy that could just stay ahead by betting against the Cowboys and the Fighting Irish because their fanbases were generally morons that skewed the line. I could see that because the new "revolutionary" QBs never would think of doing film study giving the defense a slight advantage. Plus given most DWFs are in fact morons always a step behind repeating what they are told on TV.

I love how Jared Goff is proving the naysayers wrong. When he went to Detroit we heard, "he won't succeed without McVay!" Wrong. When Ben Johnson went to Chicago to save the day for generational fruit-cup Caleb Williams, we heard "he won't succeed without Ben Johnson!" Wrong again. The naysayers are running out of ways to cope with the success of Goff. It genuinely causes them great pain to watch him succeed because of what he is. He's a dinosaur, a relic who is the total opposite of the magical QB trend. Yet he keeps winning and schooling the very same magical ones who are supposed to completely usurp the throne of quarterbacking. Last time I checked, the dinosaurs went extinct. So how ironic is it that the dinosaur is thriving while the magical ones are decaying?

Week 3 is over, gents. Here's your autopsy of the magical QB experiment:

This is a good sign. As for the last, that's always been the formula to stop Lamar. Keep him in the pocket and make him throw. As for Mahomes it's not quite the same as he's a pocket passer that is an opportunistic runner. For him it's just eliminate the pocket. Works extremely well now that Rodent Nagy has purged the offensive line of all but one paleface. They get what they deserve.

Love it! Can't wait to watch it continue all season. After 3 weeks, a pattern is certainly developing.

Top 15 PFF grades for rookies. Not sure how Graham didn’t make the top 15, but I posted about his very high pressure rate vs Green Bay, so he should be moving up.

1. TE Jackson Hawes, Buffalo Bills(91.8)

Hawes recorded a 75.8 PFF overall grade against the Dolphins on Thursday night, highlighted by his first career touchdown — a five-yard shovel pass flipped into a tight window between two defenders. Hawes earned a 76.2 PFF pass-blocking grade (second best) in the game, too. He logged a 62.0 PFF run-blocking grade due to three negative plays, his first such plays of the season.

Hawes now owns an 88.2 PFF receiving grade for the season. He has caught all three of his targets for 39 yards and remains seventh in PFF run-blocking grade at the position (78.6). He also places in the top 10 in pass blocking (77.4).

2. RB Cam Skattebo, New York Giants(85.7)

Skattebo starred Sunday night against the Chiefs and takes over the No. 2 spot with his first appearance on this list. Before David Montgomery‘s Monday Night Football explosion, Skattebo led all running backs in Week 3 in PFF overall grade (83.0).

The Arizona State product rushed the ball 10 times for 64 yards against Kansas City, forcing five missed tackles and recording three plays of 10-plus yards, including a 13-yard touchdown near halftime for his second rushing score of the season. Skattebo averaged 4.4 yards after contact and notched a 30.0% first-down-plus-touchdown rate. He finished the night with a 78.1 PFF rushing grade.

As a receiver, Skattebo caught six of eight passes for 61 yards and four first downs, both top-two marks. He averaged 9.5 yards after the catch per reception and logged two catches of 15-plus yards on his way to an 86.6 PFF receiving grade (second best).

The fourth-round pick is the NFL's highest-graded running back through Week 3. He ranks in the top two in PFF rushing (84.7) and receiving grades (81.9). Skattebo has turned 23 carries into 102 yards, gaining seven first downs, scoring twice and forcing eight missed tackles. As a receiver, he has caught 10 of 13 passes for 87 yards, with four first downs and three forced three missed tackles.

4. LB Carson Schwesinger, Cleveland Browns (81.7)

Schwesinger bounced back against Green Bay with his highest PFF run-defense grade of the season (74.9). He played a season-high 30 run snaps, making four stops while assisting on two other tackles. He also recorded a quarterback hurry on eight pass-rushing snaps. Schwesinger did earn the lowest PFF coverage grade of his young career (56.7), due to a three-yard touchdown allowed late in the third quarter. He still made two third-down stops across 23 snaps and limited receivers to 13 yards on three catches.

Schwesinger now has 14 tackles, seven assists and eight stops on the season. His 70.0 PFF tackling grade ranks second among rookie linebackers, behind Jihaad Campbell (84.3). He also boasts a 20.9% positive play rate in run defense and leads all rookie linebackers in PFF run-defense grade (77.8). Despite the touchdown against Green Bay, Schwesinger still holds a 72.0 PFF coverage grade.

8. TE Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts(77.1)

Warren notched a 58.2 PFF overall grade against the Titans in Week 3, his worst figure in three games. He caught three passes for 38 yards, including two plays of 15-plus yards. He also dropped a pass early in the game. As a run blocker, Warren earned a 57.5 PFF grade across 15 snaps.

Despite that grade, Warren maintains a 72.3 PFF run-blocking grade (second best among rookies) and ranks second at the position in PFF pass-blocking grade (79.1). He boasts a 74.2 PFF receiving grade, fueled by a position-best 79.7 mark against zone coverages. Most of his production has come when facing zone, against which he has caught 12 of 16 targets for 178 yards and nine first downs.

11. G Tate Ratledge, Detroit Lions (74.0)

Ratledge dominated against Baltimore’s defensive line, grading out as Week 3’s second-best guard (91.4). While he finished with a 68.5 PFF pass-blocking grade, he was unbeatable as a run blocker, recording an 86.1 zone PFF run-blocking grade across 18 snaps and leading the position with a 93.5 gap PFF run-blocking grade across 16 snaps.

The second-round pick from Georgia is the highest-graded rookie guard through three weeks. Ratledge owns a 54.8 PFF pass-blocking grade, having surrendered five pressures at a 4.9% rate. Run blocking has been his strength, as he holds a 75.9 PFF grade in that department (tied for sixth overall). He boasts a 74.7 PFF run-blocking grade in zone schemes (eighth best) and an 82.1 mark in gap schemes (second best). Ratledge also ranks second among all guards in impact-block rate (24.1%).

And let’s be real hurts is mid he just happens to be on the best roster in the nfl. We all know the cardinals won’t have a winning record in a month from now, green bay is unfortunately legit and the redskins will hover around 500 this year
