RBs with 1,000+ rushing yards/100+ receptions in a season:
3x — Christian McCaffrey
2x — Everyone else in NFL history
I read that and got PTSD from Aaron Rodgers time with the Packers, thanks man.I like that Shanahan gets McCaffrey a lot of touches. My problem with Shanahan is that when faced with a solid defense with an all around good pass rush he fails to adjust. Reminded me of cmcs first playoff game when Purdy faced a pass rush in his face constantly and got injured. Sometimes you got to wave the White flag and say we can't stop these guys and roll the pocket out. They need to steal pages from the Montana and Young 49ers who often rolled out and threw to their fullback and TEs. I think Shanahan sticks with his pre-lanned play sheet too much and lacks the ability to adjust to what his eyes see as great coaches can do.
backrow, Drake Thomas is the brother of Thayer Thomas, a wide receiver for the Broncos for a couple of years until he was released in October. I don't know if he caught on with another team or not. Both played at N.C.State.One of the very few white players on the field with a huge play - SEA LB Drake Thomas, INT. That pretty much kills SF right there.
It's interesting that the Seahawks' turnaround demographically (by NFL standards) occurred under the same GM, John Schneider, who was there with Plantation Pete during Seattle's long and mostly successful coal black era.
Now Chompin' Pete is with Las Vegas, having done everything he could to blacken up that team and wrecking it in the process, from refusing to bench Geno Smith when it became obvious he was washed as a starter, to not playing second draft pick Jack Bech, to not developing Tommy Eichenberg, cutting Tommy Mellott and other typical Carroll moves.
Carroll at least should be one and done with the Raiders, and done period as an NFL head coach following today's game.
