2025 NFL Week 18

Well, let's look it that way - now it's possible to get it all on one reception for CMC.

OK, some signs of life from Niners.

Purdy is gonna kill M. Robinson, two hospital balls hahaha

CMC - 80 yards away from 1000. 20 mins to go.

One of the very few white players on the field with a huge play - SEA LB Drake Thomas, INT. That pretty much kills SF right there.

Shanahan should get Kittle more involved in the passing game. I had the game recorded and sped through it it looks like juice was split out wide most of the time. He needs a ball in the middle of the field, where he can break some tackles and make things happen.

If someone said SF held SEA to 13 pts, I would assume they won the game handily, 28-13 or sometime like that. Did not expect them to lay an egg and score 3 pts in such a high stakes game with their prolific offense.

This probably ends their Super Bowl chances as they now have to travel to Philly most likely, then some combination of SEA/CHI/LAR all on the road depending on exacts seedlings. Will continue to root for them but this was a big missed opportunity. It won’t be a total loss if Darnold can lead SEA to the Super Bowl and shut up his bum critics who maintain that “he can’t be trusted”.

Disappointed for all the 49ers, especially Christian, but at least Seattle gets the #1 seed in the NFC instead of the odious Bears or Eagles.

I like that Shanahan gets McCaffrey a lot of touches. My problem with Shanahan is that when faced with a solid defense with an all around good pass rush he fails to adjust. Reminded me of cmcs first playoff game when Purdy faced a pass rush in his face constantly and got injured. Sometimes you got to wave the White flag and say we can't stop these guys and roll the pocket out. They need to steal pages from the Montana and Young 49ers who often rolled out and threw to their fullback and TEs. I think Shanahan sticks with his pre-lanned play sheet too much and lacks the ability to adjust to what his eyes see as great coaches can do.

I read that and got PTSD from Aaron Rodgers time with the Packers, thanks man.

backrow, Drake Thomas is the brother of Thayer Thomas, a wide receiver for the Broncos for a couple of years until he was released in October. I don't know if he caught on with another team or not. Both played at N.C.State.

Not sure how much it would have affected the outcome, but SF clearly missed Ricky Pearsall again. They really need him to come back healthy for next week’s playoff game.

Regarding Seattle, I’m a fan. The Darnold redemption story is compelling. I believe he is first QB to have back to back 14 win seasons since the great Tom Brady. I’m not even sure if it’s been accomplished by anyone else. Then you have Kupp and Barner operating at the #2 and #3 receiving targets. On defense, Drake Thomas and Ty Okada have elevated to starters (Okada by snap count). Then DT Rylie Mills, DE Conner O’Toole and LB Patrick O’Connell get rotational snaps depending on the game. A huge improvement and better than the NFL’s paltry average.

It's interesting that the Seahawks' turnaround demographically (by NFL standards) occurred under the same GM, John Schneider, who was there with Plantation Pete during Seattle's long and mostly successful coal black era.

Now Chompin' Pete is with Las Vegas, having done everything he could to blacken up that team and wrecking it in the process, from refusing to bench Geno Smith when it became obvious he was washed as a starter, to not playing second draft pick Jack Bech, to not developing Tommy Eichenberg, cutting Tommy Mellott and other typical Carroll moves.

Carroll at least should be one and done with the Raiders, and done period as an NFL head coach following today's game.

Good riddance to Wigger Pete (and Geno Smiff too).

The Jets defense has not recorded a single INT all season LOL. World's greatest athletes play right?

A bunch of unattractive, meaningless early games. The Bucs need New Orleans to beat Atlanta for them to win their division, otherwise it goes to the 8-9 Panthers.

Clayton Tune starting for Green Bay and Riley Leonard for Indy are two players I'll be watching.

Taysom Hill started for the Saints at running back.
Turnover on their first play. Let’s see if he can get 20 carries and 100 yards!

What happens to Pierce will be one of the big offseason stories. Hopefully he won't do the usual "White thing" and re-sign with Indy for a "hometown discount." He should sign with a team that has a QB with a big arm and will use him like Jordy Nelson was with the Packers. The Bills with their poor receivers would be an ideal fit but there are others too.

Hahaha McCarthy just had a nice run with a beautiful stiff arm on a LB and drew a flag for taunting after talking **** to another player who he tried to body as well. I like him!
