2025 New England Patriots

#Patriots rookie OT Will Campbell has taken virtually every rep at LT — and the team loves what they’ve seen. Despite some questioning if he’ll be a left tackle in the NFL, he’s delivered exactly as expected. One team source raved his football IQ is “through the roof… he processes so fast and already thinks like a veteran. He has the type of football character you wanna build your program around.”
Got the chance to meet Will just a few days before the Draft. Nice down to earth dude. Confidence level + nastiness on the field cut from a different cloth. .....Did not even bring up the " short arms" to him but wonder if i should have. "Always gotta critique the White boy some way or another

I find this to be great news. The "lets get whitey off of the offensive line by inventing a hard to achieve metric that doesn't even matter" agenda is one of my biggest peeves. Let's hope that Campbell's success can usher in opportunities for other T-rex armed white players.

No doubt Will Campbell is important for the future of White LTs. Wish I was exaggerating.

Efton Chism dominated the second pre season game when playing and was excellent in joint practices looks set to of secured a spot on 53 man roster no way he gets through waivers. Think he may see some playing time this year but got a hell of a career ahead of him the coaches love him.

With one pre season game to go before cut down the predicted roster is 13 whites on the 53....

Drake Maye, Efton Chism, Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, Jack Westover (3rd TE and fullback), Will Campbell, Garrett Bradbury and Ben Brown (reserve C/interior back up), Robert Spillane and Jack Gibbens (linebacker), Brendan Schooler at safety and special teams together with Barringer and Romo at punter and Kicker.

Due to what are seen as small injuries to Efton Chism and Kyle Williams together with the ongoing Kendrick Bourne injury, the Patriots have signed white wide weciever Pat Lutz out of Delaware to the 90 man roster and places a black DT on injured reserve!

Thanks for the Patriots updates Woody!

Too bad Rookie RB Lan Larison went on IR w Foot injury (is this for the year? or first Six weeks?) Had high hopes from him to make the 53 man squad; in the Danny Woodhead -role as an All Purpose Back

Go figure it takes a Undrafted FCS WR from Cooper Kupp's old school to bring back the Super Bowl Winning Formula!
Efton Chism sure has been Fun to watch on Highlights this pre-season!! Hope Lutz can stick at least on the Practice Suad.

Really like to see at least 20 White players on the 53 man roster. Wonder how many teams will hit that mark this season??

No worries enjoy posting about my team and the NFL in general trying to be more active. Its great to have the Pats looking a bit better from a caste perspective could be some depth on the practice squad and they look like 13 whites on the 53 better than last year.

Pretty sure Larison would of made the 53, think he has a chance next year with Stevenson not the best and has ball security issues and Gibson isn't young. Could be Henderson (who looks impressive tbf) and Larison as the 1 and 2 choice.

Dunno if any will hit 20 maybe the Eagles or Chiefs? Perhaps the lions? How ironic.... the whiter the team the better ....who would of thought ay!

Hendrickson is on the trade block. Would be nice if the Pats made a move for him. Pure speculation and wishful thinking at this point.

Excited to see how Drake Maye does in year two.

Beat reporters and twitter guys are talking about it as we have the salary cap to do it but would he come to a non playoff team?

It's rumored that the Bengals are asking for a defensive player (young) and a 1st round pick in exchange for Hendrickson. If that's all they want, he'll find a new team.

And here we go.....Undrafted Rookie WR Efton Chism making people take notice

Does Efton Chism remind Julian Edelman of himself? Patriots legend weighs in

The meteoric rise of Efton Chism III has caught Julian Edelman's attention. But not because the Patriots legend sees himself in the undrafted rookie receiver, as some others might.

"I think he reminds me more of Dola (Danny Amendola) than he does me," Edelman told Tom E. Curran during the Patriots Talk podcast released Tuesday. "The way he runs is a little like that."

Nevertheless, Edelman has been impressed by Chism.

"His playing strength is really impressive," Edelman said. "He's had a hell of a camp. It's going to be an interesting decision on what to do with these guys in that receiver room."

Chism has studied Amendola since arriving to New England as sought-after rookie free agent. Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels made sure Chism received a cut-up video from Amendola's tenure in New England (2013-2017).

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Amendola played an impactful role alongside quarterback Tom Brady and McDaniels, of course. An undrafted receiver out of Texas Tech, Amendola eclipsed 50 catches and 600 yards during three of his five seasons in New England.

McDaniels and company would be thrilled if the 5-foot-10, 198-pound Chism had a similar impact.

"He's super twitchy," Chism said after watching Amendola. "He knows how to release. If the guy's playing off, if the guy's playing press, he knows how to sit in zones but he also knows how to win versus man. I don't think a lot of people -- at least me, like before becoming a Patriot, I didn't watch a lot of him. But now I'm watching it and like, 'Man, he can really win versus man, too.' He's not just a just a zone catcher."

The Eastern Washington product has come on strong after a slow start to camp, all but locking up a roster spot following his preseason performance against the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday. Chism, who had six receptions for 71 yards and one touchdown in two quarters of play, was the best player on the field at times.

Patriots insider Phil Perry projected New England's 53-man roster and listed Chism as his sixth receiver behind Stefon Diggs, DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Kyle Williams and Mack Hollins. Neither Williams nor Chism have practiced since playing the Vikings, but Chism is believed to be dealing with a minor foot ailment. Fellow wideouts Kendrick Bourne and Ja'Lynn Polk, who have been sidelined for weeks due to injury, as well as Javon Baker were left off Perry's projection.

Chism received an opportunity this summer and he's ran with it. Edelman, while maybe not the same type of player, certainly can relate.
