2025 College Football Week 11

freshman Jack Smith, listed as a wide receiver, runs the ball 75 yards and scores for South Dakota State on their first play from scrimmage. wow!

he’s dynamic, as we’ve talked about before.

ask and you shall receive! Iowa is back in it!

Anderson Castle getting some touches early and producing for Duke.

Boettcher with the big sack on third down forces an Iowa punt.

the defenses certainly came to play in this one!

is this Charlie Becker’s breakout game for IU? the 6-foot-4 sophomore wideout has 3 catches for 72 yards in the first half.
Becker finished the game with 7 catches for 118 yards, both game-highs. an important note: he only got the start because the WGA was injured. “weird,” huh?

I'll just go on record stating I don't believe in Texas A&M. They have had a favorable schedule, the win against ND was due to atrocious secondary tackling and going against a QB in his 2nd start. Now they play Missouri with their great QB out due to injury.

Lutmer saves a touchdown by running down the Oregon WGA at quarterback. no mention of Lutmer’s speed by the announcers; instead, they insist (at length!) the WGA must be nursing an injury of some sort. you can’t make this stuff up.

Syracuse getting crushed. Their initial NIL QB signing from LSU has been awful since Angeli was lost for the season.

How about them Hawkeyes. Would be better if they had been medieval against Oregon’s run game.

a PERFECT throw by the Oregon quarterback. wow! you can’t cover it better than that, and it still found the receiver’s hands. wow again!

Did no one see Iowa States RS FR. Aiden Flora's 79 yard punt return for a TD as ISU defeats TCU!
Carsen Hansen 108 yards and a TD!

yes, sir! i just saw the replay. explosive! of course, Flora is a walk-on. Hansen’s per-carry numbers don’t look as good as they should’ve, because ISU ran him up the gut several times to run out the clock. he had a dominant outing. is this his third 100-yard game in a row?

flipped over to watch a bit of the Air Force rushing attack, as they take on San Jose State.

the game quickly puts into perspective how good Scudero is, because SJSU is awful.

that being said, i was scanning their roster, and they have a freshman wideout that might be worth watching in future. Jase Nix is a record-setting receiver AND sprinter out of San Marcos, California. Nix is a lot like Scudero: he’s small (5-foot-9) and fast (10.68 100-meters), and put up HUGE numbers (over 200 catches, more than 3,000 yards, and nearly 50 touchdowns in high school).

Jase Nix. a name to remember?
