I went to bed at halftime. Woke up to see the Lions came back to win. I personally think they are the best team in the league this year.
I watched it but didn't feel like commenting. Crissy was even worse than usual, every black player was a brilliant athlete and all were having an outstanding game according to him, he was really laying it on thick the entire game and of course never shutting his yap for even a second. Anyone listening to him and Tirico for three-plus hours should be eligible for combat pay.

Hard to figure the league as far as dominant teams after this week's games. The quality of play is mostly substandard with innumerable penalties and bonehead plays and (usually temporary) injuries but there's been a lot of close games which is good for the networks and overall interest. There's also a noticeable decline in the number of dominant receivers and running backs, fewer "studs" as they're often dubbed by fantasy football players. But the announcers will never seriously critique the NFL nor will any prominent "journalists" or "analysts." I hope in the new unfolding Trumpian era that we can penetrate more of the alternative media, in particular the manosphere to enlighten more that DEI extends to the realm of sports and media coverage of sports and has for a long time and is quite easy to see and understand once one's eyes and mind open up a bit.

LOL. Lots of truth in that video - especially about all the offensive coordinators running the same high school offense in the NFL. This is something we have been saying for sometime here. Also, some good comments:

"It's the age of data. I've watched this happen with baseball over the last 10 years. Teams are getting more prepared than ever, more accurately than ever. The audible is a dying art form, and we reward QBs that can't actually run an offense."

"They have to simplify the playbooks cause QB's coming out of college are getting less intelligent. You can't run a WCO with backyard QB's."

"You're not wrong. What happened to the deep ball, no pocket passers anymore, all the QB's 1 read and run. Bored of it"

Carson Steele had 2 rushes for 3 yards and no receptions. Hunt had 14 carries for 35 yards and 7 catches for 65 yards. I get the feeling Steele needs to break a run or two pretty soon or he may end up on the Caste trash heap before the season's over.

Will Shipley had 9 carries for 34 yards late in the game after the outcome was decided. His main rival for the backup spot to Barkley, Kenneth Gainwell, had two fewer carries and went 7 for 30. Barkley went 14/66 along with one reception.

Schrader and Laube remain very far away from seeing any regular season touches. Since the Raiders have shifted into rebuild mode they should give Laube some playing time but haven't yet. His fumble on his first NFL touch may have spelled the instant end of his career after all the positive publicity he generated in the preseason.

Christian McCaffrey had 13 rushes for 39 yards and 6 receptions for 68. The good news is that Mason and Guerrendo both had just one carry each so Christian should be in bellcow mode the rest of the season. WR Deebo Samuel had 3 carries but that's pretty much par for the course the way the 49ers use him.

No mention of the sumo OLs? "What is happening to the offenses in the NFL?" That guy really is clueless. Well most of the OLines have been filled with sumos, and now the offenses suck. What a surprise, right? It really is a mystery.

Steele's running style quickly changed after he fumbled a couple times. From a looser, energetic with strength; to a keep both hands on the ball straight ahead strictly bullish FB type of runner thus not allowing him to get additional yardage. IMO the fumbles made him a more conservative type of runner if you will. He was always bullish and strong, but he never gets credit for his quick footwork that allowed him to escape tackles and get more yardage. Again, IMO.

Fortunately (unfortunately?) for Steele, he's also a core WSTD, so that gives him some additional value. Also he dutifully played the role of human battering ram ahead of Hunt a few times. However one play he was supposedly supposed to help out one of the turnstile LT's and instead helped out on the right side, Mahomes got crushed. Of course had he helped the left side the right side turnstile would have allowed the sack.

As mentioned in posts above, the offensive tackle position in the NFL is absurdly bad. The interior line positions for the most part seem to grade out pretty well. I wonder what could possibly be the difference.......

Overachievers are somehow thriving at the interior line positions in spite of their T-Rex arms that prevent them from playing tackle.

Overachievers are even thriving at tackle in spite of their T-Rex arm when they are allowed to play there, as evidenced by Joe Alt, Lane Johnson, Andrew Whitworth, Jack Conklin, Kolton Miller, Taylor Decker and many others

He needs to just play the game. He is overthinking not to fumble and it is clearly affecting him. He is not playing loose.

Center is quite a lily-white position this year, I think 27 or 28 of the 32 starters are White. It's always been White-dominated, of course, but it's one of the few positions that's actually gotten whiter over the past few years when most of the others have blackened up.

"This play is hilarious LOL."

Watched that play and was stunned at how slow and plodding those Houston OTs are. All they have to do is get in front of the freaking pass rusher. Do they really want to get their man injured?

These all sumo, or super majority sumo, offensive lines are absolutely terrible. When I have more time, I’ll crunch some numbers, but the Texans have to be amongst the worst. The Bears would be the other that immediately comes to mind. They gave up 9 sacks this past week. Their ineptitude, plus Caleb Williams’ proclivity to hold the ball way too long, is a deadly combo. Jets another, that without diving too deep, are awful. 4/5ths non-White and no improvement year after year.

The Texans OL forced fumble is one of the most comical things I have seen in some time on a football field.

Adam Thielen is finally being activated off IR. He pulled a hamstring making a great diving TD catch in Week 3 and hasn't played since. Carolina has its bye this week so Adam won't play until Week 12 but at least he didn't miss the entire season.

Isiah Pacheco is reportedly going to be activated off IR this week so we'll see if Carson Steele survives or not. If he does he may remain a WSTD and used otherwise only in the racially appropriate role of extra offensive lineman aka fullback.
