The only thing that may play a factor in changing this is the fact that more & more people are noticing the Anti White racism in other facets of life and starting to question more. My high school football team was 95% white, opinions varied from “whites can’t play high level football” to “whites just aren’t quite as good” to “whites have bias against them”

My favorite opinion of my high school teammates came from our probably autistic 9th string WR who claimed he ran 4.2 flat and he was going to make the league by being gritty and end up a top 10 WR and secret Italian super athleticism that the league hasn’t discovered yet

It’s just wait young guys are taught or infer. It’s only goober race tractor coaches who think only blacks can play. No white kid grows up thinking their inferior.

Oddly our best players, essentially gave up. Probably at least partially because thought they since they were white RBs and WRs d1 wasn’t an option. We had two players who play for an AP top 3 college program (one might start next year)

Our stud safety/WR ran 4.41 at 5’7” and had multiple d1 preferred walk on offers and just walked away from the game. He claimed it was a size issue.

A lot of guys including myself had a 100% guaranteed chance to play for one of our 2 local D3 programs and all turned it down. Not much glory in playing for an all white pity D3 team anyone can play for. I started one year with nothing to show for but a few pass breakups and a good 40 and I was offered a spot for the D3 program along with probably 15 other guys.

Fantasy football doesn't so much anymore. White defensive players are getting more respect from fantasy team owners because so many are really good. I've seen the difference as I used to be able to cherry pick White defensive players for a long time but not so much now.

However, the major fantasy sites still have a lot of the traditional biases when grading players. In that sense they're much like the self-proclaimed scouts and draft analysts, but even they've improved a bit in response to reality. Fantasy football is a large industry and those who want to make their living from it need to be on top of trends if they want to be successful. Automatically downgrading White players is no longer a guaranteed formula for success in the fantasy industry.

Despite all of the bad things still happening to our guys in the major sports this is exciting. To think that there is a possibility that
we could potentially have 3 or 4 white running backs drafted seems to good to be true. Then another white cornerback makes this
a fun combine and draft to follow. Then add in 3 more white receivers which are so necessary with many of our guys aging or just
being ignorred. Add some tighteneds and various players on the offensive and defensive side along with the quarterbacks and you
have a little better draft to watch. Not much better as the numbers overall are dismal but to see players that could help change the
common fans perceptions is great. Bring on the NFL Combine. Can't wait. Great article Don!

They are both similar in size. Not sure Burkhead is 5 10' as he listed, however Shipley showed his ability to grind out tough yards at Clemson because more often than not he ran between the tackles with no blocking and 9 in the box. Averaging over 5 yards a carry while doing it. He is also much faster. Burkhead with the 4.69 hand held pro-day forty is slow. I look for Shipley to go 4.4-4.5 easily laser time at the combine.
As I said in an earlier post. I would find McCaffrey and his speed coach and be preparing for the combine with them.

I think we have three whites getting drafted (maybe 4 if Steele squeezes in, but I think he is and UDFA). They all should be drafted within the first 3-4 rounds easily, but we know how that goes.

NFL Combine list is out. I have read this same script for the past 15 years.

321 total invites - 6 specialists = 315 skill position invites. 60 of these players are White so 19% of combine invites are White. Again it does not deviate from the SCRIPT!

The NFL is very much scripted if you ask me! Go back through any draft thread for at least the past 15 years and you will find a very similar number for the % of Combine invites. In late April the number of White athletes drafted will also hover around 20% like it does every year.

He should be stating that the Chargers would be an ideal situation for him as he is a versatile work horse RB and Harbaugh has shown his offensive identity to be built around a strong running game. Absolutely!! This mentality doesn't replicate his athletic style at all. I was floored when this was posted. I've been praising this young man for his courage to leave Indiana for LA and his not taking "NO" for an answer attitude. Now, I'm not sure what to think.

Exactly..the mindset of being a team first guy holds athletes back. But, it won't be easy to change this for all the obvious reasons.
