2024 Las Vegas Raiders

Weenieworld actually tells it the way it is for once:

Ameer Abdullah (foot) is doubtful for Week 18 against the Chargers. Abdullah has quietly proven to be the Raiders’ most explosive back down the stretch, but a foot injury suffered late in Week 17’s win over the Saints appears to be the end of his season. Alexander Mattison should see the bulk of the backfield touches for Las Vegas. Rookie Dylan Laube could also see some work, though the team has largely opted to play anyone with a pulse over the Day Three pick so far.

I don't think 2 black HCs would've gotten canned after only 1 season a few years ago during peak BLM. The usual suspects are already firing up the outrage machine but it's unclear that anyone really cares.

The Floyd moment certainly screwed some orgs up, and I find it funny. I also think the tribe owners are in on the joke and the non-tribe owners are the Goober marks.

Yes and yes!

The Steelers have drafted as poorly as any team, so this possible DEI hire makes perfect sense from the perspective of the Caste NFL. White isn't the GM (that's Honduran/Indian mix Omar Khan) but is the organization's head of scouting.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Raiders requested to interview Steelers director of pro personnel Sheldon White for their open general manager position. White has several years of front office experience under his belt, operating as the Steelers’ director of pro personnel for the last three seasons. Before that, he was a scout for the Commanders, executive director of player personnel and recruiting for Michigan State, and rotated several different front office positions for the Lions. White would be a first-time general manager for the Raiders, though he was an interim general manager for the Lions in 2015. The Raiders fired Tom Telesco last week and have several interview requests lined up to fill the role.

The good old Raiders have hired Chompin' Pete Carroll to be their head coach and are supposedly interested in washed up Russell Wilson to be their starting QB. Maxx Crosby, Brock Bowers and Robert Spillane may be the only White players left come September, and maybe Carroll like many others still believes Spillane "belongs nowhere near an NFL field." Somewhere Al Davis must be happy that his son is continuing the ways that have made the franchise regularly one of the worst in the league for over 20 years. What else is to be expected from someone who thinks Jim Carrey had a great haircut in Dumb and Dumber.

From Weenieworld: Raiders hired Pete Carroll as head coach. Carroll is the third head coach to be hired by the Raiders since 2022. He’s not getting the 10-year, $100 million deal the Raiders gave Jon Gruden back in 2018, but according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the 73-year-old coach has agreed to a three-year deal with the Raiders that includes a fourth-year team option. After spending 2024 in the Seahawks’ front office as an advisor, Carroll is ready to take on one of his toughest challenges in decades — turning around a Raiders team that has just two double-digit win seasons over the last 22 years, and only two playoff berths over that span. He’ll have his work cut out for him playing in the AFC West, where three of the four teams cranked out double-digit wins to make the postseason, while the Raiders finished a dismal 4-13. Currently holding the No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Raiders are in dire need of a franchise quarterback — whether that’s by draft, trade, or free agency. Carroll takes over a team that ranked 29th in scoring last season, and allowed the sixth-most points on defense. The Raiders are a long way from being competitive, but Carroll is undoubtedly up for the task.

The Athletic’s Jeff Howe said one name he has “heard to watch” for the Raiders at QB is Russell Wilson. This bit of information comes less than an hour after it was reported the Raiders and Pete Carroll had agreed to terms for Carroll to become the next head coach. According to Howe, Wilson and Carroll have “mended fences” since the Seahawks traded Wilson to Denver ahead of the 2022 season, which could leave the door open for the two to reunite in Vegas. Wilson, who will be a free agent this offseason, threw for 2482-16-5 in his 11 regular season starts with the Steelers, and went one-and-done in the playoffs after losing to the Ravens in the wild card round. He’s a familiar face who Carroll could benefit from having in the building to help bring along a younger quarterback, but he wouldn’t serve as anything more than a one or two-year solution. We’re still early in this process, but Wilson’s name sounds like one to watch as free agency draws closer.

Brady was highly involved in the interview process and they end up with Plantation Pete..

Oh well, another White quarterback who shockingly didn't turn out to be a secret White Nationalist.

Muh nazis

It’s worth pointing out. If you don’t like it censor it.

But hey, Chompin' Pete is a white head coach! And he's replacing a black head coach so isn't that progress? ;)
