The Colts of late are a team of minimal interest. Other than a very White, with good depth, offensive line there isn't too much to get exited about. They are a middle of the road Caste NFL roster.

Total White Athletes on Roster (Starters in bold)
19 Whites total, with 6 starters. Grade: D

QB - Joe Flacco, Sam Ehlinger
WR - Alec Pierce
TE - Will Mallory
T - Bernhard Raimann, Braden Smith, Blake Freeland, Matt Goncalves
G - Quenton Nelson, Will Fries, Danny Pinter, Dalton Tucker
C - Ryan Kelly, Tanor Bortolini

DT - Taven Bryan
S - Trevor Denbow

K - Matt Gay
P - Rigoberto Sanchez (Castizo?)
LS - Luke Rhodes

IR - Welsey French (C), Ryan Colt (C), Daniel Scott* (S) [a bit dusky],
PS - Liam Anderson (LB), Jack McKeon (TE), Evan Hull* (RB) [Octoroon or part mestizo?], Spencer Shrader (K)

This team is nearly a carbon copy of last year in terms of the White athletes on the team. Offensive lineman make up the major of the White players (10 of 19).

Let's start with the positive. The line is a snowplow and every backup is White too! That's 10 for 10 if you are counting at home. The bad news is that is half of the Whites on the team. The line is anchored by the best guard in the NFL, Quenton Nelson. Nelson is a generational talent and as close as you could have to the perfect lineman. Ryan Kelly is a very good center and supposedly had a career best year by PFF. The tackle duo of Raimann and Smith were rated the top pairing by PFF. Overall they are rated number 3 and within the debate for best unit in the NFL. I wonder why some of the awful Caste teams don't copy this formula in this "copy cat" league? One of the hero's of last season, Joe Flacco, is the primary backup to one of the league's biggest upsiders. If he falters or gets hurt again (that rush first style will do that), then the Colts are in good hands. WR Alec Pierce was primed to be replaced in the offseason after his replacement was drafted. All the experts predicted Pierce would be beaten out as a starter but he held on to the spot and responded with 125 yards and a TD. He's a premier deep threat in the league so his success will come if the QB targets him and accurately hits him on the deep routes. The only other White skill player is 2nd year TE Will Mallory who's buried at 4th string.

Last the defense, which is very dark. DT Taven Bryan could be considered a super rare White 1st round bust. I guess he makes for a solid rotational backup. Trevor Denbow returns as a rare White safety but I really should list him as a WSTD. He had 6 snaps on defense in 2023. Looks like he'll need a slew of injuries to get a shot.

I don't really like the Colts much but the AFC South is pretty putrid. Jaguars and Titans haven't been previewed yet but its likely the Colts have the most White players and starters.

only a black boy can say they got tired after barely running and throwing during a match and not get demoted or even evaluated or have any of these "extenous" factors be considered at all

Obviously not evaluating everything

Compare the treatment Zach Wilson received from the media. Admittedly he underperformed and said some stupid things…but he got destroyed by the media.

Not only that, but ownership, GM and HC egos are at stake here too since A.R. was a high 1st round pick. I look at it as the Lamar Jackson effect. Lamar was a borderline college QB with a terrible throwing motion (yes, worse than Tebow) and scattershot accuracy. Baltimore went all-in and just installed the Louisville offense for Jackson and worked on his motion. Now he's a very good QB.

Richardson has the Lamar "look" to his play, but he was NOT even anywhere near as good as Jackson in college, and he certainly doesn't look to have Jackson's mental makeup. I will enjoy watching him flounder.

Good news for the ageless Flacco and also for Alec Pierce and the rest of the Indy offense:

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Colts are benching Anthony Richardson for Joe Flacco.

As a non-American, I've always been curious as to why none of the Ivy League colleges aren't in the FBS? I would've thought with the amount of money and the equipment, they'd be in the FBS right now.

"Very good" No this is not to start the usual anti-black this or that, but are we gonna go with the "very good" at this point or are we gonna say there is more than one way to play and win football games. I vote latter and yes it seems Jackson has the mental toughness where many of these new black QBs are suspect. Reminds me what a friend told me decades ago, basically via diet and culture blacks would get soft as a whole.

It’s too bad Ehlinger never got a look as the starter. Richardson was really the straw that broke the camel’s back for me though and being obvious that the sport is no longer the least bit serious - getting drafted 4th overall was ridiculous. I’m better than every GM, scout, draft “expert” out there after that screw up as far as I am concerned.

Took em long enough!
Good news is good news. Remember Richardson was the #4 overall pick, so there was going to be immense pressure by someone (owner, GM) to keep starting him. Flacco will need to play well, and I think he will, to keep the spot the rest of the season.

Unless Flacco is injured it looks like Richardson may be a dead man walking in Indianapolis. It's quite surprising to see Steichen turn on him so strongly. Maybe his "tapping out" was the last bit of evidence they needed that they made a huge mistake drafting him. The Colts should do what the 49ers wisely did with Trey Lance and cut ties by trading him for a late round draft pick and move ahead without him, but Shanahan and Lynch are considerably more savvy than the Colts' "brain trust":

Colts head coach Shane Steichen said QB Joe Flacco will be the team’s starter “going forward.” In other words, this is not a temporary benching for Anthony Richardson, who has struggled mightily throughout his second pro season, with only three QBs posting a lower drop back success rate. Steichen said the team would not give up on Richardson, though it appears his 2024 season is over unless Flacco misses time. Asked if Richardson would ever again start for the Colts, Steichen said, “That would be great. We’ll see.” Flacco will provide a major boost to everyone in the Indy offense. An NFL personnel evaluator told The Athletic this week that the Colts would need to take a long-term approach to developing Richardson, 22. “It’s really hard to develop a quarterback who is so far behind in learning to play the position that he’s in frantic mode all the time,” the personnel evaluator said. “This kid is truly a project more than a developmental player.”

But another team will repeat the same mistake. Plenty of real QBs will be available next year via the draft. Players that are overlooked and being dissected by the rabid negrophilia centered draft “experts”. Players like Kurtis Rourke, Riley Leonard and Carson Beck.
