Weekly primer for the upcoming games.
Thursday night App State is playing so hopefully RB Anderson Castle gets some carries.
Friday night Syracuse faces off against Stanford. Kyle McCord's strong start to the beginning of the season has been a fun story to watch. Let's hope he has another big game.
Illinois faces off against Nebraska in what should be a very palatable game.
San Jose St plays Washington St. WSU QB John Mateer is the QB no one is talking about but he has certainly emerged as one of the top dual threat QBs in the country. Looking at Wazzu's schedule and it is pretty favorable with their most difficult game looking like Boise State.
Saturday has some interesting and not so interesting games.
Marshall visit Ohio State as the Buckeyes get their cupcakes out of the way before starting conference play next week. Hopefully Will Howard will continue to get comfortable in the offense in this last tune up game.
NC State vs Clemson - Let's hope Clemson repeats their performance vs App State. While not as White friendly as year's past the Tigers are still a team we should root for to make the playoff.
Houston vs Cincinatti - Sorsby will continue to ascend in the sport, he's probably my favorite QB in college at the moment. TE Joe Royer is his 2nd favorite target so let's hope they blow out the hopeless Cougars.
Kansas vs WVU - WVU lost a tough one to Pitt last week in the rivalry game. Lots of White WRs to look out for in this game - Luke Grimm, Hudson Clement, Preston Fox, TE Kole Taylor as well as QB Garrett Greene.
USC vs Michigan - Should be a good matchup of a very good QB in Miller Moss for USC against a talented Michigan defense. The Wolverines benched Davis Warren after a shaky start to the season for the questionable QB Alex Orji who has his issues throwing the ball as well. Michigan's poor handling of the QB position in the offseason will probably be a thorn in their side all season.
UCLA vs LSU - UCLA looks pretty bad so far this season, LSU's defense and right side of their OL stink. Nussmeier is a good one though, I am hoping he follows a similar trajectory to Burrow over the next two seasons.
Arizona State vs Texas Tech - this should be a fun game to watch. TTU QB Behren Morton seems to be playing at a high level, Skattebo is one of the best RBs in the nation. QB Sam Leavitt has played very well for the Sun Devils as well. WRs Coy Eakin and Jake Smith will hopefully see alot of action as well.
TCU vs SMU - Let's hope TCU's high octane offense led by Josh Hoover puts up alot of yards and points with Jack Bech and JP Richardson getting alot of the targets.
Tennessee vs Oklahoma - this is the big game of the week. Oklahoma has been pretty underwhelming so far, Jackson Arnold has not been as dominant as expected. Should be a decent game though and the Volunteers have not faces a decent defense yet this season.
Iowa vs Minnesota - take the under
