Matthew Boling had the 3rd fastest time of all the qualifiers after all those long jump attempts yesterday. Not bad if you ask me. I would feel better if he would have skipped the long jump though as he would have to have
the races of his life tommorow twice just to make the team. Not sure if his legs have enough power to get it done but I'm rooting for him.

At the Italian Champs it was more bad news. The races were run into a negative wind. Rohan Browning is stuck in reverse as he only ran a 10.32! I wonder if he is hurt or the move to train was a bad decision. Can't blame him
for trying something new but he just has lost his form for now. Sad to see.

Filippo Tortu has also had a very bad season. All he could do was to finish in third place in the finals running a 10.24 -0.9 wind. Not a good performance and he has also looked just as bad over 200 meters. He isn't even entered
in the 200 at the Italian National Championships this weekend so it's gonna be a long summer for him too. Lorenzo Patta finished in 4th with a slow 10.28 as well.

it wasn't much of a negative wind ..... it doesn't look like he'll be ready. Going over there was probably the final, desperate throw of the dice to get him into shape. Hee needs aa qurter of a second.
If it was injury that caused disruption to his training schedule then maybe he'll be ok for C'wealth Games 100s which start August 2nd. An extra 3 or 4 weeks could mean a lot

wasn't she running light and smoothly? And her joy at the breakthrough after some lean times was genuine. Haase probably 11.20
If Gina can now gain confidence and take it to the warm U.S. I think we could see her approaching a 10.90 which should make the final

Steiner ran easy 200m to qualify as she eased up at 190m

Trevor Bassitt ran a very good PB 48.38 to qualify 3rd for the 400H final. So what does he have in the tank or has he spent himself in this last run?

Boling looked very good in his heat; but he is in a stacked semi-final.
He may have to blow his wad there, in order to make it to the final.

Joe Ferguson ran 20.23 to take 2nd at the British Championships 200m.

Beth Dobbin ran 22.49 also for 2nd in the women's 200m

Both Trey Cunningham and Devon Allen are through to the 11o hurdles finals running 13.09 and 13.14!

Steiner!!! and Prandini takes third!

Abby Steiner wins the US 200 Meters Womens Final and she is on the US Olympic Team. Jeanna Prandinni made the team too finishing 3rd.

Abby Steiners time of 21.77 is the fastest time in the world beating her own previous time earlier today of 21.80. This lady is a Wonder Woman! Incredible talent.
Prandinni might have won this event but I think her running in the 100 heats took alot energy out of her. So happy she made the team in a very fast 22.01!

Boling ran hard, but he’s clearly up against some drug cheats (Lyles) and some generational talent (Knightley).

So happy to see Trey Cunningham make his first US Team. He took 2nd place running a 13.08 and Devon Allen was in 34d places. They are both on the US Team for the World Championhips in about 3 weeks from now!

after Abby Steiner's brilliance I'd give my next spot to Trevor Bassitt in the 400H. He came home like a train. Fourth was a white guy, CJ Allen with a PB 48.17 run
Bassitt makes the team running 47.47 to sneak past the great Harald Schmid and is now world top 20 all time..... only Warholm has gone faster among athletes of European decent

This is such great news for both of them. So now the 3 of the 4 fastest 200 meter sprinters in Europe are from the United Kingdom.

They are young and talented. Now if Amy Hunt can get healthy and join up with Dobbins they will be all set. Too bad Dobbins and Gemeli are older.

Charlie Dobson and Amy Hunt are both injured.
Otherwise I am sure they would have both been UK National Champions in the 200m.

I don't know what Dobson's injury is, but Hunt tore a quad muscle and had to have surgery to repair it.
Both these youngsters are very talented - basically the British versions of Boling and Steiner.
However, one major difference is that Dobson and Hunt are often injured.

CJ Allen became the 4th-fastest 400m hurdler in America, and he did so running UNATTACHED!!!

Abby had her world lead for a fraction of time but it was a world lead. Then Sherika Jackson cracks a 21.55 in the Jamaica trials ...... it's going to be some world champs in Oregon

Steiner is legitimate(clean) Jackson is not....

Kudos to Jenna Prandini to run so well only to hit the wall abit in the last 30m but still hung on tough for 3rd.

Loving the fact that so many white athletes made the USA sprint teams

Had a chance to watch the mens 110h and gotta say Cunningham had a terrible race...hit so many hurdles which is not normal for him...clean flight and he wins going away. Devon Allen same story. I thought maybe they would hook each other for a fast time which only happened near the end of the race. The winner ran cleaner race...

one of only a couple of blacks I respect ran her last National 400m and got hammered...Felix should retire now....she was a sprinter with incredible form.

UK Champs should be scheduled for a different venue as this track facility is always windy and the weather is so unpredictable in the UK as it is. Laura Muir and Beth Dobbin only real bright spots...... so many negroes in the UK track scene now...

Ive known about CJ Allen since his HS days and then his college career...always the forgotten one...he has always been an excellent 400mh guy....not surprised he did so well in the Champs event.

Canadian Champs is a black fest, Johan Blakes cousin Jerome Blake(I trained with this kid in Kelowna) almost wins the 100m as Degrasse(covid lol) scratched. Sage Watson did not compete(back injury)...they held the Championships in Langley BC, the track is not favourable to fast times as it's placement is into the wind on the stretch. This area of Langley is flat and windy. Now having said that this is the track facility where I and my daughter met Hannah Cunliffe, her brother Sam and their dad Mike. Mike offered to billet my daughter with his family and train with Hannah....my daughter after alot of thinking turned that offer down...mistake.
