Femke Bol opens her indoor season with a WL 50.72 400m in France.

Bol follows up her WL 400m race, with a 23.37 200m, beating Del Ponte of Switzerland.

In Germany today Julian Wagner opened his season finally. He ran a meet record 6.58 in his heat to advance to the final. In the finals Wagner
finished 2nd running a time of 6.62 as he didn't react as well out of the blocks. Joris Van Gool of the Netherlands won in a time of 6.60!

A new name from Belgium I hadn't heard of came in 4th place. Kobe Vleminckx ran a time of 6.65 and I have never seen him race before. He is
more of a 200 meters sprinter but this is a fine time. Maybe he will consider the short sprints some more.

Some more good news from Germany. One of my favorite female sprinters has come out of retirement. Gina Lückenkemper won the womens 60 meters
finals in a time of 7.22! Not bad after being out of track for quite a long time. She is only 26 years of age and she was a sub 11 second sprinter several years ago.
Hoping she can get back to that level. I've always loved watching her run and I must say she is so beautiful as well.

Abby Steiner is doing what Boling should be doing. Even though her best event in the 200 she wants to get better over the 100. How do you achieve that? You have
to run more 60's and 100 meters races both indoors and outdoors. Today Abby Steiner ran another new p.b. in the finals of the 2022 Tiger Paw Invitational.

Abby Steiner won the final heat today running a lightning fast time of 7.12! Wow is that going to help her outdoors this year. She has now shattered all her previous
p.b.'s over the 60 meters and she might go even faster with a month left in the season. So happy for her.

This is incredible news. Those 60 meters races have translated into the fastest indoor 200 meters race ever run in the history of the NCAA! Congras to Abby Steiner
and remember that she is only a junior in college. She may come back next year. In my opinion it's time to turn pro. Abby Steiner is amazing! What a talent!

Great list jacknyc. I'm so happy for Abby Steiner. I just wish Boling would run more 60's as it will lead to personal bests over 100 & 200 meters. Glad
he won today but it was so close and he struggled. He appeared to tighten up bad and was almost caught. I'm glad he has close competition as that is
what makes you better. Have no fear and when you lose you have to learn from it and grow from it!

Abby Steiner proves the value of running the 60 meters more. Her form is a little off but who cares as the results are the best ever in the NCAA! I think
she should get alot closer to 11 seconds this summer. I will predict 11.10 to 11.15 or so. I really want to see Steiner & Boling do this outdoors!

I'm also excited to see what Mary Beth Sant-Price will do outdoors this year.
Her times this weekend, indicate that she should put her close to 11 flat or better in the 100m.

Ewa Swoboda should definitely go sub-11 this year.

I'm of the thought that he loves the feeling of running fast but not enough to cope with the stress he feels when he's under the spotlight

It still amazes me what did in Rio 16' when he was clearly faded from his peak. There won't be a return to glory and he is just another guy at the French domestic level which aside from an elite guy here and there isn't very good.

Also his career trajectory mirrors that of clean or at least cleaner athletes. If he was doped to the gills he would be still competitive if he wasn't bitten by the injury bug.

more. I'm guilty as well but it's not fair. Let the man live his live. He is a shy introvert trapped in an alpha male body. Because he is not an extrovert, it hurt his career.

He doesn't owe us or anyone else anything. He's done his best within the parameters he set himself... to train only near home, to keep his coach (who must be quite an old man now), and to learn his work craft. And despite his reticence he pulled himself through to two world class bronze medals.
Enjoy your next stages of life Christophe. And keep enjoying your love of track without having to conform to others' expectations.
He'll be one heck of a masters athlete!

Swoboda looks good although those braces are a bit worrisome. Sant is a fireball over 60m lets hope she can continue to improve and take it to the 100m outdoors. Plus she is extremely fine

But I have also know that Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce and Elaine Thompson have both also had braces.
So in that sense, it's just a leveling of playing field.

Yes but Swoboda looks very feminine. She has meat on her bones and isn't overly muscular. I highly doubt she is on anything. She has always been an
amazing starter. Her p.b. before this year was 7.07 and she has had a couple of down years. I don't see anything unusual. Let's just root for her. I know
people in their 40's and 50's that have braces. Some people never had the money to fix their teeth when younger.

Here is a great video with Ajla Del Ponte who has become one of my 3 favorite female sprinters. She goes sub 11 with ease. So talented!

Last year we saw Armand Duplantis set the world record in the Mens Pole Vault! He is the greatest pole vaulter ever already at a very young age.

In 2021 we also saw Karsten Warholm break the 400 Meters Hurldles World Record!

Then on to 2022 and what happened today! Jakob Ingebrigsten set a New World Record Indoors in the Mens 1500 Meters! What a couple of years by our guys!
