Mary Beth Price with a blazing 7.08 to win the 60m invite at the Texas Tech Open today.
That's a World Leading time!

To put that into perspective, Ajla Del Ponte has a p.b. of 7.03 in the 60 and 10.90 in the 100 meters! So if Mary Beth Price can finish her races
stronger and maintain that top speed, she should be around 11.00 flat with her current form. So many variables but that's a blazing time!

Matthew Boling set a new PR in the 60m today, winning the race in a time of 6.60.

I can't find any videos of the race. I looked everywhere but Bolings time today was the 2nd fastest 60 meters race in Univ of Georgia Bulldogs History.
As I said in a previous post, Boling needs to get down to the 6.50 to 6.55 range on a regular basis. He's not far off and then take that speed outdoors and
your gonna see some sub 10's and sub 20's this summer. I have no doubt about it!

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The Bulldogs accumulated 11 wins during the one-day Samford Invite in Birmingham, Ala., on Friday, highlighted by two of the country's top-five marks.

Fresh off a long jump/200-meter dash sweep in last weekend's opener, junior Matthew Boling ran the fifth fastest 60m time in the country this year with a 6.60 to win. This time ranks second on Georgia's all-time top-10 list and is the best for the Bulldogs since 2017.

Andrew Robertson wins the 60m in Manchester with a time of 6.60.
Adam Thomas 2nd in 6.62.

Amy Hunt won the women's 60m in 7.21.
Edward Faulds, 19, won the 400m with a time of 46.84.

Kevin Kranz of Germany, 6.59 this morning in his heat

Kevin Kranz ran a his personal best of 6.52 last year in 2021. Kranz is only 23 and his p.b. in the 100 meters is a modest 10.24 so I'm guessing
if he can just work on his speed endurance he will be in good shape. Barring injuries, Kranz should get at minimum to around 10.10. to 10.15 this
summer. Hopefully faster but it's baby steps. Julian Wagner of German is alot closer with his consistant sub 10.20 times and a personal best of
10.11 last summer with 0 wind. He also ran a 10.00 but with too much wind. Julian Wagner is also 23 so with him and Kranz they have a couple of
rising young sprinters for the future. Let's hope some of the other german men & women step up their game this year too!

Marybeth Price USA regains the world leader in the 60m with a 7.08s. She has a 7.11 and 7.12 as well this season.
She was Christian Maccaffrey’s girlfriend in Highschool. He should have stuck with her, she is so fast and powerful that if he has a few sons with her we would see a White and much better version of Barry Sanders in the future.

Matt Boling USA is number 11 in the 60m and world leader in the 200m and Long Jump.

The lovely Abby Steiner USA ran a respectable 7.17s 60m.

Maksim Niastsiarenka BELARUS leads the Men’s Triple Jump

Neele Eckhardt GER leads the Women’s Triple Jump

Hunts time of 7.21 is not bad but nowhere near good enough, if she cracks a 7.05-7.15 then she is getting there. I still think she is and will be even more amazing as she gets older and stronger but will do better in the 200m than the 100m. Just my opinion.

A name I don't know/remember, Giovanni Galbieri of Italy, ran 6.60 60m today. He is 29 yrs old.
He was the Euro U23 100m winner in 2015.
Luca Lai was 2nd in 6.62.

A name I don't know/remember, Giovanni Galbieri of Italy, ran 6.60 60m today. He is 29 yrs old.
He was the Euro U23 100m winner in 2015.
Luca Lai was 2nd in 6.62.

Luca Lai improved to 6.56 in the final.
Galbieri did not run in the final.

Trey Cunningham ran 7.46 for the 60m hurdles at a Texas Tech meet.
That is a world leading time, and by a huge margin! The 2nd fastest time this year is 7.54; nearly a full tenth of a second slower.

Matthew Boling has lost the WL in the Long Jump to Swiss decathlete, Simon Ehammer.
"Ehammer soared 8.26m for the longest ever long jump recorded in an indoor heptathlon . . ."
In addition to being a world leading jump, it's also a Swiss indoor NR.
Never heard of Ehammer before, but he's just 21 yrs old.

Great news about both Trey Cunningham and Simon Ehammer.

I hope this is the year that Trey Cunningham can put it all together. He had an amazing season last year but I see him going above & beyond that in 2022. Cunningham
might just have the ability to go sub 13 in the hurdles. That is very rare territory and if he can get to that level he would be one of the favorites to win the world championships
gold in the 110 Hurdles. It's hard to believe that Trey doesn't have a faster 100 meters time even though he rarely runs the event.

As for Simon Ehammer, it's great to have another rising Swiss Track Star. The Decathalon just keeps getting better and better!

On another note, Igor Obraztsov improved his european best 60 time to 6.55 yesterday! He is destined to smash his p.b. in the 100 meters this summer. I think
we are seeing a slight rise in the levels of Russian Sprinters again. It would be great as they are a huge country but don't represent many stars in the sprints whether
it be the men or the women. I think they have many more Obraztsov types if they just looked harder to find the right prospects like China does. Of the top of my head is
21 year old russian sprinter Vladislav Doronin who has run 6.72 so far this season. 18 year old Ranel Shavikov is another to watch in the future as he has run a 6.79 so far this year.

In the High Jump: Ivanyuk RUS and Prostenko UKR both are number one with 2.28m jumps
In the Pole Vault: Mondo Duplantis SWE is number one with a 6.02m vault.
In the Triple Jump: Andreas Pantazis GRE number one with a 16.79m Jump/ Nazim Babayev AZE second at 16.76m/ Max Hess GER fourth at 16.73
In the 60h: Trey Cunningham at 7.46s would be fourth in 2021/ second in 2020/ third in 2019/ third in 2018/ second in 2017/ third in 2016 at years end.
Only Andrew Pozzi UK has run faster at 7.43 for third in 2021 and second in 2017.
I think Trey will Medal at the WIC.

Bryce Hoppell USA is number one in the 800m, beating Kenyan star Michael Saruni in NY.
Oliver Hoare AUS blew away the field for number one in the Mile. He was only-0.03 s away from winning the 1500m as well.

Aleksandar Askovic of Germany ran a 6.63 in Germany today. Nice time and hoping to see more improvement soon. Kevin Kranz
of Germany has a time of 6.59 but there are a few German Sprinters I'm waiting to see open their season. Especially Julian Wagner.
He may be skipping the indoor season by choice as many sprinters are due to it being such a big year outdoors with the european
and world championships coming up later tis year as well as each countries own national championships.

Swiss, Simon Ehammer - this guy can long jump...even it's during during a heptathlon. I also love the French commentators passion and the excitement shown by his competitors too.
He's still 21
