When making the 2021 WR's Preview Cincinnati's Alec Pierce really stood out. Ended up landing with the Colts in the 2nd Round/53rd pick. The highest pick for a white WR since Jordy Nelson Unfortunately Kyle Phillips was the only other WR selected in the NFL Draft. Not sure 2022 has a WR (yet) that would project as high in the NFL Draft. But there should be several break out candidates.

Cooper Kupp was last year's NFL Triple Crown Winner in Receptions ; Yards Receiving & TD's + Super Bowl MVP out of Eastern Washington ...the ONLY school to offer out of HS!

Gunner Romney
(Sr.) 6'-2" 195 BYU
...stayed for Senior season for "unfinished business" ...So far in his career has 117 receptions ; 1,900 yards ; 9 TD's
fought thru some injuries last season.
AP21283177335654.jpg

Ladd McConkey (RS Soph.) 6'-0 185 Georgia
3 star prospect out of HS emerged on the scene last season as a redshirt Freshman! Played all 15 games ; Started 7....finished 2nd on team w 31 receptions for 447 yards & 5 TD's
including 5 -135 vs Auburn including a 60 yard bomb over the middle for TD.
21FB_Vandy_McConkey_web.jpg

Jake Bobo (Sr.) 6'-5" 215 UCLA (Duke Grad Transfer)
Made an immediate impact this past Spring with his new team
Last season at Duke had 74 catches for 794 yards & TD
*Also Penn transfer Ryan Cragun is a late addition; Two time All Ivy League ; 93 rec for 1,385 yards & 5 TD's
Jake_Bobo.jpg

Thayer Thomas (RS Jr.) 6'-0 195 N.C. State
Former WALK -ON....Career tied for 3rd is school history w 20 TD catches! 158 career receptions ranks 7th in school history, his 1,842 yards ranks 15th ; Pre season 1st Team All ACC Punt Returner (Athlon's)
Brother Drake is a 1st team All ACC LBer at N.C. State
ThomasT_PR_FSU_GF_.JPG

Jack Bech (Soph.) 6'-2" 215 LSU
Has the "It" factor! Made an immediate impact as a true freshman in 2021, catching a team-best 43 passes for 489 yards and 3 TDs; used as hybrid last season out of necessity ...playing WR only under new Coach this season.
Check out one handed TD catch!

Ricky Pearsall (Jr.) 6'-1" 200 Florida (Arizona State transfer)
Last season 48 catches for 580 yards & 4 TD's
Can do it all! +10 carries for 78 yards Rushing and 2 TD's + 3 for 3 Passing 111 yards & TD in career
Caught 4 passes for 132 yards at UCLA (Oct. 2) with 54-yard and 65-yard TD's

ricky-pearsall-3.jpg

Trent Whittemore (RS Soph.) 6'-3" 206 Florida
Broken Ankle curtailed last season; had 19 receptions 210 yards(long of 45) & TD + completed 3 of 4 passes for 41 yards & 2 TD's!
As much "upside" as any WR on this list? One NFL Mock Draft had him going Round 4th-6th in 2023
SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll...recruited as a DB out of HS
Whittemore_Trent__211223_9425_CourtneyCulbreath.jpg

Taylor Morin (RS Soph.) 5'-10" 176 Wake Forest
Pre Season Athlon Second Team All-ACC; Quality Punt & Kickoff Returner
Last season 43 receptions for 621 yards & 5 TD's
Redshirt Freshman had 5 rec for 91 yards & TD ( 46 yards) vs Wisconsin in Bowl game
10771034.jpg

Charlie Jones (Sr.) 6'-0 188 * Purdue ( transfer Iowa) WOW! *EDIT* Thanks Leonardfan
1st Team All-Big Ten return specialist by league coaches and media
Career 39 receptions for 718 yards yards & 6 TD's.
Has the look of an NFL Return Specialist!
usa_today_15171224.0.jpg

Chase Cota (Sr.) 6'-3" 209 Oregon (UCLA transfer)
Has adjusted to new program quickly! In Spring game was Green team’s leading receiver with 6 rec for 100 yards
Career at UCLA 67 receptions for 883 yards & 6 TD's ; would be curious to see how he would do playing DB!
Dad Chad was a starting DB in the NFL
chase-cota-oregon-spring-crop.jpg

Cole Tucker (Sr.) 6'-2" 195 Northern Illinois
110 career receptions ; 1, 398 yards & 6 TD's
tucker2.jpg

Have a total of 25 WR's on my list ....posting 11 WR's here tonight for now. 14 more to go....i'm sure Red Raider and others have them and more!

Great write up. Just love all the pictures. So many of our guys we root for are on new teams. Let's hope the change of scenery helps to boost some of these guys NFL Draft Status. We need more of our guys to get NFL Combine Invites!

Good stuff as always @TwentyTwo !

My only correction is that Charlie Jones transferred to Purdue.

Hopefully the hyped up black quarterback for Florida shows his ineptness as a passer allowing for the OSU transfer Jack Miller to take over. Pearsall and Whittemore's stats won't be helped with a run first quota under center.

Thanks for the head's up Leonardfan! Went to check it happened to be June 3rd...wife's B-Day lol + College Baseball Super Regional. So Charlie Jones slipped on me....
it's making more since now. Guess the lack of a quality QB at Iowa? QB Aiden McConnell put up some big time stats at Purdue! Possibly a better chance at getting Drafted?

No doubt Anthony Richardson must become a more consistent passer or Jack Miller could replace him for the Gators!

Thanks White Lighting! Always curious to see the talent during the Summer pre season! Like to include pics. Not sure how we will do the 2022 RB thread that already started

Still have a few more to post and still waiting to see WR's Caleb Chapman Oregon / TexasA&M transfer injury status

Ask some of the CF members if Hassan Beydoun (Eastern Michigan) can be included or not from a Caste perspective?

Great posts! We lost a ton of WR talent after 2021 but we have quite a few young WR’s poised to make some noise this season.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CXH080bL_uq/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Regarding Hassan Beydoun, here is an Instagram post of him with his parents. He is obviously of Arabic descent but both parents and himself look much more on the white side than most Arabic people do. I’d leave it up to each individual if they want to root for him or not. Personally I do root for him, he seems like a good kid from a good family who had to overcome a lot to reach his current success, so I have no reason to dislike him. As far as football goes, he is basically a clone of Cole Beasley with nearly identical size and play style, and makes a good tandem with Tanner Knue.

Beau Corrales (SR) 6’3” 210lbs SMU
It seems like we have been talking about Corrales forever. He has a ton of potential and played well at UNC when healthy, he didn’t get a ton of opportunities because UNC had 3+ NFL WR’s there throughout the last 5 years or so. 80-1176-12 in 4 seasons at UNC. He missed 2021 with injury and is looking to have a big year as a 6th year senior at SMU.
upload_2022-6-29_0-7-22.jpeg

Griffin Hebert (SR) 6’3” 223lbs Louisiana Tech
Hebert is a big WR with some fantastic athleticism. He made it on the annual “Feldmans’s Freaks” list last year due to his 40” vertical and strength in the weight room. As far as height/weight/speed go, he is comparable to former Texas Tech WR Dylan Cantrell who blew up the combine. 76-1101-11 receiving in his first 3 seasons. His stats are almost the same as fellow senior Corrales, I hope both of their 2022 numbers exceed their career stats!
upload_2022-6-29_0-24-24.jpeg

Caleb Chapman (JR) 6’5” 200lbs Oregon
As mentioned above, injuries have been the story of Chapman’s career. He is looking for a fresh start with 2 years left of eligibility at Oregon. Big play receiver has recorded 28-413-3 receiving in his career.
upload_2022-6-29_0-31-50.jpeg

Barrett Banister (SR) 6’0” 196lbs Mizzou
Banister is a slot guy who has seen playing time for the past 3 seasons, recording a 93-812-2 stat line. Is 2022 the year he puts up his biggest season?
upload_2022-6-29_0-38-49.jpeg

Tyler Page (SR) 5’11” 195lbs Appalachian State
Page did not play football in 2021 after graduating from SMU with 1 year of eligibility left due to covid. I’m very glad that he decided to come back, and even more happy that he chose App State which I think is a great spot for him. Career stats at SMU include 65-862-4 receiving, 4/8 102yds 1 TD passing, 14-193 on punt returns, 7-160 on kick returns.
upload_2022-6-29_0-44-59.jpeg

Drake Stoops (SR) 5’10” 192lbs Oklahoma
Stoops has been a reliable slot receiver for Oklahoma for a couple years. Hopefully the new coaching staff can get him more involved. 41-521-4 receiving in his career.

Luke Grimm, the vastly under appreciated wideout for 5-0 Kansas, is the leading receiver for the Jayhawks as we approach the midpoint to the season. it’s been a BIG surprise to see him help lead the offensive attack for possibly the most surprising team of the year thus far.

Haven't seen the Jayhawks play this year. Will have to tune in sometime soon. Good to see them be good outside of basketball
for a change. It's similar with North Carolina where they are just primarily known as a basketball school. Go Jayhawks!

We shouldn’t be rooting for the Jayhawks at all. There coach is a caste disciple - he built a winning D3 program at Wisconsin-Whitewater on the backs of White athletes only to completely ignore them during his stint at Buffalo’s head coach and now at Kansas.

Ok thanks LeonardFan. Good point but like I said I hadn't watched them all year. I haven't watched a Kansas Football Game since
white running back Jake Sharp was there and that was a long time ago. I will have a look just to root for Luke Grimm. There are
countless teams I will watch a little of just to root for certain players. We all do it here!

How many teams are even half white or 1/3 white? Not enough that's for sure. That's why we mainly root for players but I get your
point and yes we should not root for caste teams here. I think we all know that brother. Hope Grimm continues to shine in the prime time.

this is entirely correct! which is one of the biggest reasons that Grimm’s emergence has been such a surprise. i was fully expecting him to be cast(e) aside with the new, er, “evaluation system” this coaching staff uses.

WR Jared Bernhardt was my Pre '22 Draft "Sleeper"; QB at D 2 Ferris State ; former LaCrosse star from Maryland. Made the Atlanta FALCONS as a Undrafted Rookie Free Agent ; now age 25.

This year my D 2 "Sleeper" is West Florida WR David Durden (6'-2" 200) FCS Mercer transfer/ 2017 MLB Draft Pick(20th round RED SOX)..... Covid restrictions screwed things up 2020...Had no season
This past weekend(not included in Week 6 Re-cap) Durden had 8 receptions for 142 yards & TD vs West Georgia
This dude could shine in an NFL Pre-Season even if he goes undrafted too....Bernhardt over came the odds so too can Durden.
Runs legit 4.4's..turns 24 in ;late December

IMAGE of TD too large to post...

Former Wazzu WR Joey Hobert transferred to Utah Tech and is having a dominant season - 79 receptions 1158 yards 14 TDs

Not sure why he was not listed on the NCAA FCS stats football page.

Great picture showing off that white speed and athletecism! So in football and basketball Utah State is giving more of our guys a shot that
even BYU who has gotten too woke for their own good. Excited for this young man. Maybe Hobert can get some NFL attention. Amazing
season for him!

Thanks Leonardfan. FCS is faring pretty good.

Going by Receiving Yards per game..... 4th leading WR Jaaron Hayek(101.2 avg) Villanova ; has only played in 8 games (36 receptions 810 yards 8 TD's)

Was not sure (the rules here at CF?) to include Kokosioulis in the "Weekly Re-Caps". He is QB Tim Demorat's "Go-To" WR. The name threw me off ...so checked ; he looked bi-racial to me in some pics.

Yes indeed! Joey Hobert's Stats have been jumping off the screen in the Box Score in Weekly re-caps lately. Dad Billy Joe was a QB in the NFL. They play BYU tomorrow; that should be interesting!

..........The ONLY reason i can think of Hobert would not be included in the Leading WR Stats;
The transition to D-I, which began upon the school's arrival in the WAC on July 1, 2020, will take 4 years; during this time, the Trailblazers will be ineligible for NCAA-sanctioned postseason play in any of their current sports. That sucks!

Still getting used to the name Utah Tech (1st year) after changing it from Dixie State.

Trying to post some pics and they ALL say Too Large ....Strange

@TwentyTwo thanks for the clarification. I had never heard of Utah Tech!Makes sense, they used to be Dixie State! Good to see Hobert lighting it up on a smaller team, rather than serve a racial apprenticeship at a Power 5!

I have not seen New Mexico play this year or ever really watch wr/kr , Luke Wysong but according to his stats sheet against San Diego State last night he caught 5 balls for a whopping 24 yards. Some NFL fullbacks have higher receiving averages. The kid has 10.8 100 meter speed and he's running 4 to 5 yard outs I assume. He is not even their ko and pr like last year. Lurkers beware.

Charlie Jones, the Purdue-from-Iowa transfer, has done some VERY impressive things this season. here are some excerpts from an article that came out before his big performance against Indiana:

Charlie Jones Named Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist

... Making the move to Purdue, Jones has emerged as one of the best receivers in the country. The Iowa transfer ranks third nationally in receptions (93) and receiving touchdowns (11), while ranking sixth in receiving yards (1,056). He leads the Big Ten in all three categories.

Boilermakers have a history with the Biletnikoff Award. Taylor Stubblefield won the honor in 2004, while David Bell was a finalist just one season ago. The duo became consensus All-Americans, and Jones is on pace to put up better numbers than both Boilermakers.

Jones has recorded six 100-yard games this season, including four in B1G play, to become the sixth Boilermaker to accomplish the feat in a single year. In B1G action, Jones has hauled in a conference-best 8.0 receptions per game to go along with 84.5 receiving yards per league contest ...

Since 2000, only five Big Ten receivers have tallied 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns through the first 10 games of a season: Jones, Braylon Edwards (Michigan - 2004), Charles Rodgers (Michigan State - 2001, 2002), Austin Carr (Northwestern - 2016) and Marvin McNutt (Iowa - 2011). This season, Jones is one of four wide receivers nationwide with at least 1,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.

It's safe to say Jones enjoys the Purdue offense. After making 21 catches for 323 yards and three touchdowns during the entire 2021 season, it only took him three games to surpass last year's totals with the Hawkeyes ...

after this article was published, Jones continued to put his name atop the lists with another big-time performance: 143 yards and a touchdown (a 60–yarder) on 4 catches against Indiana.

Jones currently has 1,199 yards and 12 touchdowns on 97 catches. he’s averaging 99.92 yards per game.

and to think before this season, and before he made the second transfer of his collegiate career, no one (other than Charlie Jones himself) believed he was anything other than a good kick returner! what a Caste System breakthrough! it’s an amazing story of perseverance and self belief.

Jones is now getting ready for the Big Ten championship game against Michigan.

Charlie Jones opted out of the Citrus Bowl.. Wonder which Round he will go in the '23 NFL Draft?

6'-2" 200 David Durden ( West Florida ) lost to Ferris State 38- 17 D2 Semi-finals ...but he had 3 receptions for 98 yards (including this 54 yard TD)
Gotta think/hope an NFL team will give em a try out?
Durden finished with 54 receptions 1,128 yards & 13 TD's for the season.
Here's the 54 yard TD

Also last week in D2 Semi-finals Colorado School of Mines WR Max McCloud Jr. 6'-3" 205 had a monster game 12 receptions for 214 yards & 3 TD's in . Will play Ferris State this Saturday 17th (today) for the D2 Championship.
So far this season he has 75 receptions 1, 462 yards & 18 TD's! + a Rushing TD

Might be the next coming of Tim Dwight. Not the top end speed but Rutgers has a really explosive transfer coming in, in Gunnison Bloodgood out of Santa Monica CC. He's 5 10 with 4.55 speed. He's already projected to be the top kr and pr and is second on the depth chart which should change in the Fall. One to keep an eye on. Rutgers has another 2 deep wr in Christian Dremel but I know nothing about him.
