The mid 00’s was definitely a fun time for us as far as pass rushers—. Not only Kerney, But you had Grant Wistrom, Aaron Schobel, Kyle VandenBosch, Aaron Kampman, and I’m probably forgetting a few others, routinely leading the league in sacks year in and year out, yet it never led to any sort of influx of White D ends... that was also a time where we dominated at LB, with Brooking, Thomas and Urlacher. It was exactly the same on defense over almost any era at least since the 80s, few and far between, but the few that were out there were dominant...

Hopefully we get to see a few more elite White edge defenders in Karlaftis and Hutchinson join the current crop in the league next season.

I do remember all of those players though. I think Jared Allen is my all time fav at the DE position - one of the most dominant at the position during his peak.

Kampman had 58 sacks in his career, just missed out on a SB ring
Green Bay basically derailed his career when they forced him into an OLB role when they switched to the 3-4 defense, which ultimately made way for Clay to dominate, so I guess I can’t get too mad...

Starting to get it now, more about players than actual games and teams. What white players are doing, ok got it.

Same here, either Jared Allen or Justin Smith.

Agreed, tough call there. I understand defense switches as new coaches come in.

By the way, there is no way Clay Matthews, he of 8 sacks in 2/3 of the year last year is not worthy of a roster spot...

Yeah, pretty egregious. There’s at least a dozen teams that could use pass rush help...

What year was it, think it was 2010, all four All Pros at defensive end were White. What were the odds of that given how few are in the league? And then J. J. Watt dominated like few ends ever have. But nothing changes. The Caste System is set in stone with only little bits of tinkering permitted around the edges. And as long as no one cares but us, it's not going to change.
I had to look it up, as I remember that epic milestone, but couldn’t recall which players were the 4. It was actually the 2008 pro bowl. Jared Allen and Kyle Vanden Bosch were the AFC starters and Patrick Kearney and Aaron Kampman started for the NFC. Aaron Schobel was also a reserve for the AFC. So in total 5 out of the 8 best DEs were White men!

I will say we cover a lot of what is happening in general in the games unless it's a game with two very dark teams, but yes this forum is mostly used to talk about white athletes and how they are performing. But if you have a favorite team you have a favorite team nothing wrong with that.

Mac Jones had a historic night tonight he only threw 3 times for 2 completions (the least amount of throws since 1970) and rushed once.

I didn't get to catch the game tonight sadly or I would have talked about them. What about you Danny?

Game was pretty uneventful. The heavy winds played a huge factor in the game.

Kampman also had to serve a racial apprenticeship his first two seasons in the league.

He had a fairly short career, which ended in Jacksonville. He must have had some injury problems as he was out of the league at the age of 31. 48 of his 58 career sacks came in a five-year span from '04 through '08.

Wish we had a few white running backs, hell, a white cornerback would be cool. Don't need to talk teams keeping up with white players will work.

Big white RB at Kent State I talked about, Carson Steele.

There were a lot of Kampman jerseys in Wisconsin during his reign! Definitely was a fan favorite. Midwest guy through and through, played his college ball at Iowa. To be fair, KGB also got phased out when GB switched to 3-4.

What's the saying about I went to a football game and baseball game broke out. In this case it was I went to a football game and a rugby match broke out. Once again BB out coached another wanna be, Mcdermott is a very good coach but BB is probably the greatest strategist ever.

Well, looks like Belichick is moving back to "genius" status again this season as the Patriots are the number one team in the AFC now with a very good chance at getting the top seed. The Belichick teams that won the first three Super Bowls during Brady and Belichick's long run of dominance were run of the mill demographically like they are now. There was a ten-year run though with all those overachievers on offense that was as good as it's been in the NFL since I don't know when, likely the 1970s, maybe even the great Miami teams of the early '70s with their two White RBs and nearly all-White defense.

How many running backs do the Pats have, damn!

I'm sorry I missed it. A defensive struggle with lots of runs in stormy weather.

To me that's real football.

Buffalo plays Tampa in Week 14, Josh Allen vs. Tom Brady. Should be compelling to watch, especially because Buffalo is now 7-5 looking at 7-6 if they lose to Tampa. Not quite what the expectations were for the Bills coming into the season.

Next Monday is the Rams against the Cardinals, hopefully the Rams have a strong game.

Too bad it wasn't snowing I might have been more interested in the game. One thing I liked about it was the Manning version of the broadcast both of them are not the usual cynical types like Rabbi Al and his step n fetch boy Chrissie both going thru the motions and hitting all the truck approved talking points.

Off the top of my head I think KGB had a serious injury as well. And honestly I felt a bit bad about Al Harris not getting a ring since he got cut at the beginning of the year, he brought professionalism to the DB position and I can think of only one bad game he had when in the playoffs against the Giants Eli was connecting on some back shoulder throws against him in the playoff game Mississippi Brent froze up in. Of course I think the injury came against Adrian Peterson who broke thru to the second level, had a head of steam and Harris took him head on while I am screaming at the TV "NO" and it worked out to be expected, both got injured.

Clay got switched to MLB in his salad years not allowing him to pin his ears back as they say and rush. His brother Casey even remarked to him that he was the best paid MLB in the league but it obviously hurt his sack stats.

Yeah it did keep him from hitting double digits, but he still ended up with decent sack numbers, and i think he made the pro bowl at ILB. He ended up being pretty good inside, but you could tell he wasn’t really comfortable there.

Casey was lights out at Oregon, it’s a wonder no other team took a chance after he was on the outs in Philadelphia. I’m pretty sure he was a first rounder too.
