Thanks for starting this thread

Thanks Leonardfan....was going to mention Uphoff
The rest of your post was what i was about to mention too LOL

>Dillon Stoner to RAIDERS; had hoped he'd be a 6th or 7th round pick.......Interesting working in Camp with Hunter Renfrow
TRUE....Matt Bushman ...possibly a Day 2 draft pick before the injury...Big time TE!

Fullback Tory Carter is a one man wrecking crew! Cool he will be joining DB Brady Breeze w TITANS! He can fight in the Octagon once he's done in the NFL!

Yep .... BYU's Zayne Anderson going to KC Chiefs to join Dirty Dan Sorenson

Was wondering WHY the NE PATRIOTS still had not Signed any UDRFA's?? This explains it

Excited to see how all these guys fair. We know the deck is stacked against them, but I would imagine a few stick around and do well.

since I’m biased to running backs and full backs, I would like to see Groshek carve out a 3rd down back role in Las Vegas. He has all the talent to do well.

The Steelers picked a punter late.....Picking Groshek then would have been a way smarter move than a punter...GG will be a great 3rd down back, at worst...Punters don’t need to be drafted.. Pittsburgh’s running back room is average, at best.....GG would have been a huge upgrade..

any word on the Canadian running back who ran the 4.3? one would think that, since “coaches covet speed,” a prospect like this would be highly sought after ...

Yeah that Uphoff fella is from Washington, IL 98% white town in the Peoria area. He went to Illinois State in Bloomington, a good place to be from, never really popular amongst Illinoisans, from I-55 it looks like a cheap chip board vinyl sided Pottersville. The kids called ISU "I screwed up" it basically took you if you had a pulse.

What follows is a complete WAG on my part but I have seen this before, a talented black kid makes it to a small white town with a football team and there makes a dif, gets an outsized college offer and is in the pipeline, he made it pretty far. I will also guess the HS coaches poached him from a Peoria sh*thole. None of this is nefarious but it shows the length they go to help black kids.

Shane Zylstra, brother of Carolina Panthers WR Brandon, signs with the Vikings, who are going to convert him from WR to TE. Zylstra played at Mankato, the same school as Adam Thielen. He went 81/1,676/18 as a senior in 2019 then went undrafted in 2020.

In most cases it looks like yet another case of a White receiver being needlessly converted to tight end, but besides Thielen and Chad Beebe the Vikings also have Blake Proehl on their roster, and apparently Dan Chisena has been converted to WR as that's how he's now listed on Our Lads' latest depth chart. So Zylstra is probably better off trying to stick as a tight end, though like Proehl and Chisena he's a longshot to make the team. At least the Vikings remain the relatively white friendliest team when it comes to White WRs.

just saw where Canadian running back Kyle Borsa, who ran a 4.38 40 (to go along with a 35-inch vertical, 22 bench press reps, 6.95 3-come, 4.19 shuttle, and 10’3” broad jump at 6-feet, 200lbs), was drafted to play in the CFL (and was the fastest player in their draft).

the NFL, where “teams covet speed” and “leave no stone unturned” in their “search for talent” isn’t even interested in having this guy in a training camp.

“weird,” huh? that is, unless you understand the caste system.

you are correct. Jesse Lumsden was very big and fast ... and undesired by the NFL. he ended up not being able to stay healthy, or he would’ve likely shattered records in the CFL.

do you remember Stan Zwinggi? he’s another athlete who had good size and was fast as lightning (if memory serves, he was the fastest draft-eligible tailback in his class). he also had outstanding hands as a receiver, yet he was completely ignored.

Jake Sharp from Kansas was another back with 4.3 speed (who could also catch the ball) who never even got a taste of NFL action.

it’s as if the NFL only wants fast athletes to play running back if they’re black. “weird,” huh?
