interestingly, at their famed schoolboy meet of December 2014 it was Hale who ran down Browning. That may have been the only time he'll ever do it
It's unusual to see shorter guys like Hale and Williams not get out of the blocks better. Usually the taller sprinters struggle with their starts but come from behind with their huge stride lengths just eating up
the track. Even Usain Bolt was always chasing people down. So was Carl Lewis and countless others. Rohan Browning doesn't really have any weakness in his race. Hence he is almost always leading coming into
the final 30-40 meters. Hale has to improve his start and his drive phase to at least be closer to Browning to have a chance to catch or pass him. Let's hope my gut feeling about Hale is true. He has been in poor to
average form all year so far but something tells me he is about to explode like a viper and shock some people. With Williams switching to Rugby, Australia really needs Hale to step it up and also for a few other young
lads to step up their games and get faster.
