The days of the late Ted Thompson are certainly behind them - Short of Chip Kelly's Pale Eagles and the Patriots, there hadn't been a more reliably (relatively) white-friendly team than Thompson's Packers the last decade or so.

A lot of the contributors right now are from Thompson's tenure. Once his foundation is gone this team will probably be like the Packers of the 70s-80s before Favre brought them back to prominence in the 90s.

A truly horrific era

Im pretty sure we all feel this one slipping away. Mahomes is finally the Black Hope they have been waiting for. At least the Halfrican Hope, just in a completely different league than all of the past losers.

Butler and Oliver getting blown up in the middle of the Bills d-line. Haven't seen Trent Murphy out there either.

Mahomes is amazing but this game is far from over!

Bills great run comes to an end. I actually think the Bucs defense matches up favorably vs the Chiefs.

Dirty Chiefs with the late hit on Allen. Another reason to root against them.

Both games end with ridiculously long delays that mean little to the actual result, just prolonging the agony. Allen throws the football at him, who knows what really happened before that. Just end this already, without some derpy ref’s and Gene somethings Captain Obvious takes for 10 minutes.

It's a shame the Bills lost but they should be a contender for a while now behind Josh Allen. The Super Bowl matchup is still quite compelling, the defending champions trying to repeat against the GOAT trying to win his 7th ring in his first season with a new team at the age of 43.

Yea they just need a running game, address the pass rush and oline.

If Fisher is out for the super bowl the Bucs should be able to get to Mahomes just like they did today with the Packers missing Bahktiark

LOL even with all their resources and unearned privilege it still took 50 years for (((them))) to find their Great Black Hope, who's not even fully black.

Imagine what Josh Allen could do with that snow plow O-line, Kelce as his top receiver, Sorensen as the leader of the defense, and actual running backs. He did so much with so much less, and deserves a lot of praise for that.

McDermott's idiocy with the d-line has been frustrating and I have made mention of it more than once this season. Ed Oliver is going to get a very long leash due to his hype and draft status and Vernon Butler is McDermott's underachieving 1st round pet from when he was the d-coordinator in Carolina. Neither of them are good against the run and Oliver is not the dominant interior pass rusher the "experts" made him out to be. Trent Murphy will be gone after this season - he was a better all around player than Jerry Hughes and is a balanced DE who can get to the QB. Zimmer actually flashed more in his limited playing time this season than Oliver has and Phillips is a stout run defender.

The Bills run game is very average. Get a decent running back who can balance out the offense and rush for 1k yards to help out Allen. The Ravens, Browns, Chiefs all have good rushing attacks - it's an overlooked part of the modern game but it's obvious that it's necessary for success despite being a QB driven league. Allen's year three jump is a great achievement though considering what a pass heavy offense he played in without the benefit of a top running game. In the "old NFL" year 3 was when the QB made his jump and most obvious progression in the game so I think Allen will be a top echelon QB from here on out. He's fun to watch.

The Chiefs are an easy team to root against - nonwhite QB, Tyreek Hill - wife/kid beater, Frank Clark- woman beater, Willie Gay - assaulted white teammate in college, Tyrann Mathieu - idiot - Fat Bastard lettings malcontents onto the team/selling his soul out for wins, the lack of respect Sorenson gets when he is probably a top 10 DB in the league (he's a catch 22). Ironically they have an unheralded offensive line which is all white and very good. And I don't want to step on any toes - Kelce is a really good TE but he is also a wigger which is somewhat annoying. Give me Gronk any day of the week.

When Rodgers started to look like one of the best ever more than a decade back I thought GB would at least bring home 3-4 Lombardis with him as the QB.

I also thought Rodgers had a good chance of doing that back in 2011. Rodgers massive contact extensions in 2013 and 2018 limited what the Packers could do with their roster. McCarthy was also a mediocre coach at best, and struggled at game management. Looking like his career will be similar to Marino, Favre, and Brees, greats stats with a lot of postseason disappointment.

Yeah I was rooting for Rodgers to get a second ring. His legacy needed it much more than Brady's.

But that said, I would love to see Brady get that seventh and send a lot of haters to the ER with high blood pressure.

Noticed all game long the Bills sumo tackles were turnstiles, especially the RT. Played a big role in Allen being under constant pressure. Meanwhile look at the Chiefs. Feel like O-line isn't mentioned as often on this site. Understandably much of the focus is on skill players, but the sumo trend is infuriating. Also what led to Burrow's unfortunate injury.

Hey Bills Management. How about you go do a sign and trade for Ryan Nall. They could get him for next to nothing. Bears would likely part ways to a team not in the NFC. You have a kid that is alot like Peyton Hillis
and just ready to explode if he ever gets the chance. Remember guys, Nall led the NFL in the preseason a couple of years ago in rushing. He not only belongs at this level but is a starting running back in my honest opinion.
Maybe they could also sign Zach Zenner for next to nothing. Other than that build the line and add another receiver if possible.

I hate it almost as much as the black quarterback trend, if not more. Most of these sumos come from SEC schools and have already peaked coming out of college. Compare that to the white O-linemen from schools like Wisconsin and Nebraska all who have much more upside than these fat blacks because as they get older, they develop strength, speed, and technique. Yet despite this, we're still told that all the highest rated offensive linemen coming out of the draft are black.

Agree completely. A lot of the narrative behind the draft boards is controlled by the talking heads in the MSM, and it creates an echo chamber and group concensus. Glad you notice the sumo trend. From what lurking I've done it seems like this isn't as talked about as I'd expect it to be.

Many of the sumos that play for Alabama and other SEC schools are weight bullies that lack good footwork. That won't get it done in the NFL where you have speed rush ends that they may only play 2 times a year in college.

Cyrus Kouandijo was an example of this as his lack of technique and poor footwork was exposed in Buffalo and he was quickly out of the league after his failed stints in Buffalo and Denver and is now trying to hang on in the CFL.

PS if it was up to me I would actually want lineman with good body composition with relatively low body fat for their height and weight. I can't recall a total lard ass ever being more than a run stuffer at defensive tackle and even then most have poor stamina and aborted careers because of weight issues.

@white is right , You only have to take a look at some of those games from the seventies and before to see that sumos only seemed to start appearing after Refrigerator Perry made his mark for the Bears. John Madden seemed to be infatuated with gargantuan linemen, although I will say Perry had athleticism to go with the excess blubber, which is extremely rare.

It's a crime that Rodgers wasn't supplied with more of the protection and weapons he needed to go all the way. This is what happened with Brees in New Orleans, although in a different way. Payton and/or Loomis never supplied that team with linebackers after the exit of the two Scotts, Fujita and Shanle, and to a lesser degree, Vilma. Particularly, though, Scott Fujita. The Payton/Loomis animal REALLY went after choosing db's, and that is where all the tackling was done after the opposing team's rb's ran past the pitiful linebackers. Those years for Brees were squandered with record setting terrible defenses.
