Ole Miss disappointed yesterday - they could not deliver - the blowout defeats over the first few weeks don't seem as impressive. Alabama has a pretty easy schedule going forward - alot of weak SEC teams on their slate - Texas A&M, Miss St, Tenn, LSU, Arkansas and Auburn. Hopefully an upset or two will occur but it may not be until the SEC championship game when they should face UGA they will have an equally matched team.

The SEC is such an overrated conference - the only two teams that deserve to be ranked top 10 are UGA and Alabama. Arkansas laid a dud on offense yesterday, their head coach won't reload on defense with more great White players and seems to be a quota only coach.

Auburn tight John Samuel Schenker had a BIG game that hasn’t been mentioned yet ... the 6-foot-4 senior hauled in 5 catches for 102 yards.

Castle is another in a long line of athletic white offensive high school players being moved to defense in college. Castle was an All State HS QB that rushed for over 4,000 yards and passed for 2,600 yards. 101 career TD's, 70 rushing. Castle was moved to LB, but then because of injuries in the App ST. backfield was moved to RB. Hopefully, we get to see a lot more Castle in the future.

Smh! What about those stats scream "put this guy on Defense!"

Appreciate the background on Castle. At least he's back on Offense. Seems like a natural with the ball in his hands.

DE Joey Noble is a new name to me for New Mexico State. He had 18 tackles, 2.5 TFL, and 1 sack against Air Force last night. He has 8.5 TFL’s through 5 games. Apparently he has 100 career tackles and 17 TFL.
Freshman WR Luke Wysong led the team with 3-70 receiving.

I tried to watch NU vs Nebraska and made it to the 3rd walk in by Martinez, coach Pat got some explaining to do. I've listened to a fair amount of Husker talk radio so I can imagine yesterday was 14 hours of boasting themselves into the top whatever it is for rankings.

Iowa at #3 right now. Somehow Ohio State is above both Michigan and Michigan State. The loss to Oregon at home and Oregon’s loss to Stanford should certainly put the Buckeyes behind both Michigan teams.

Although he didn’t log a sack against Wisconsin, PFF awarded Aidan Hutchinson with their defensive player of the week honors. They also call him the “best player in the country.”

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: EDGE AIDAN HUTCHINSON, MICHIGAN
The term game-wrecker is often thrown around too loosely, but it is 100% accurate in the case of Michigan Wolverine Aidan Hutchinson.

The 6-foot-6, 265-pound senior entered the week as the highest-graded edge defender in the Power Five and will retain that spot after earning an elite PFF grade in Michigan’s big win over Wisconsin this week.

Hutchinson won on 26.3% of his pass-rush reps and produced a positive grade against the run on over a quarter of his snaps in run defense. He may not have notched a sack, but he played a part in several of the six sacks Michigan notched on the day.

Hutchinson is the best player in the country right now. He’s shot up to No. 5 on the PFF Big Board as a result and is the leader of a stout Michigan defense.

Cincinnati WR Alec Pierce also cracked the first team this week.

From everything I’ve seen it looks like Hutchinson is well on his way to being a top 10 pick in the draft, George Karlaftis could sneak into the 1st round also. In a fair world Alec Pierce would be a 2nd-3rd round pick. He reminds me of Eric Decker/Jordy Nelson, which is exactly what the NFL needs now that they’re both retired.

Lost in Wisconsin's loss were standout performance's from their Dynamic Duo at MLB: Leo Chenal (12)and Jack Sanborn(13). They combined for 25 total tackles!

Thanks for that positive on what has been a bummer for Wisconsin. These losses are tough when there was such high hopes going into the season. If they go undefeated the rest of the way it won't be so bad, especially with a strong Bowl appearance. We can can hope, right?

We can hope. I've soured on them a lot 4 games in. Let's just hope they can find a QB and get that offense going sometime this season lol.

The offense looks like crap but the defense is fun to watch. Mertz and the hyped up Clemson transfer RB have not played well. No attempt to get Ferguson more involved in the offense either - he is the best offensive weapon they have.

Right now it's looking like Badgers might need a change at OC. Keep the Badger Identity but open up the passing game, for cripes sake.

Mertz left with a chest injury so I doubt he plays against Illinois. Wolf will probably get the start? He really hasn't really flashed much either though..

When watching the Iowa game the announcers were also speaking highly of DE Zach VanValkenburg and his pro potential as well. The Hawkeyes defense as a whole has several guys who should be drafted by round 3.

Groshek had an opportunity to get a grad season in.
He’d be playing now instead of sitting on his couch..
