Perfectly placed ball, perfect amount of air under it. Herbie talking about it like it was the most amazing catch ever. It was a catch he should have made. Hyping up the plays that should be made like they are all spectacular...another tenet of the caste system.

That throw should keep the Alabama defense honest.

One of the announcers also conveniently shrunk Bennett down to 5'9. Was a beautiful throw, put it right on him.

Darn! Another Bama WR down with a knee an injury.

I said it a few times during the season but Smart should have given JT Daniels more reps. He should put him in this game at some point - he's the better QB.

What's the deal with Daniels? Going to stick it out another year with Georgia? Bennett is a SR correct?

Not sure. UGA has a 4 star QB Carson Beck, 5 star QB Brock Vandagriff - both freshman. Supposedly the other Oklahoma black quarterback is rumored to want to go to transfer to UGA. If Smart and the boosters pay off Williams to come to UGA all three of the White QBs need to jump ship.
 
So Alabama's black quarterback fumbles the ball early in the game - the fumble is called back because his arm is going forward. UGA's QB has the same play happen and it's called a fumble - his arm was going forward.
 
Absolutely bogus call against Georgia: first the fumble itself, then the in-bounds recovery by Alabama. Start contrast to the early Alabama "non-fumble."

Glad Bennett quickly got his confidence back. Overall, he has not played great after going lights-out against Michigan.

Superstar Brock Bowers hasn't been involved nearly enough.

If Bennett is 5’9”, then Bryce Young is 5’7”.
 
Happy for Bennett for sure. I thought he took some bad sacks on the night, but you can't dispute his late-game heroics. I wonder how his draft prospects will compare to Bryce Young (who is at least an inch shorter) a year from now.
 
Glad to see UGA win. I went to bed after that awful fumble call and was expecting Alabama to win. Bennett had a really good season, made a fool out of me too as I had written him off. I found the comments about his height to be humorous and hypocritical as this same sports media glorifies Russell Wilson and kyler Murray who are both around the same height.

The optics of the game outside of Bennett, Bowers and McConkey weren’t great. Seeing the undeserving heisman winner lose was a nice touch though.
