Jimmy Chitwood
Hall of Famer
Clark was on the sideline (resting?) on Penn State’s long touchdown pass/catch. coincidentally i’m sure, the touchdown resulted from a blown coverage and a WIDE open receiver.
request granted. Iowa’s defense got your wake up call. 3 plays = loss of 8 yards on Kentucky’s next possession.Wow. That Kentucky offense just ran and threw all over Iowa. Hawkeyes better wake up. Kentucky came to play.
QB for Kentucky looks good.
Yeah. Iowa buckling down a little. That Van Valkenburg given the brotha a hard time on the end. Gave up the big 3rd and 26. Only a field goal for Kentucky. Really impressed with Will Levis. Agreed. My earlier post had Moss and the defense stepping up, but to give up only 13 points and one score coming off of a TO. You're correct Petras and the offense has to come out in the second half and put points on the board.Disappointed in Iowa ...have them in Bowl Pick em Contest.....their Offense has to step it up! Petras the QB needs to do better. Too much pressure on the Defense
Right Leonardfan, but I sure wish they look to throw to him more. I guess the good news is he's not getting banged up as much in college. Hopefully he'll be fresh for a long NFL career.Coan to Mayer! Mayer would be the best TE in the nation if it wasn't for Bowers!
Mayer with another TD! Coan is torching the Ok St defense.
this sums it up nicely.Agreed. My earlier post had Moss and the defense stepping up, but to give up only 13 points and one score coming off of a TO. You're correct Petras and the offense has to come out in the second half and put points on the board.
Yep. Then Petras fumbles a fourth and short to give the ball to Kentucky. Campbell stepping up big for Iowa. Campbell a 6'5 junior should get an NFL look after next year.this sums it up nicely.
Yes sir Carolina Speed! Hawkeyes Defense has been mostly lights out since the opening TD drive!Agreed. It's a beautiful thing watching that Iowa offensive line bull dozing the Kentucky defensive line. I'm not sure Petras is the answer. I hope Iowa has recruited a big time QB.Yes sir Carolina Speed! Hawkeyes Defense has been mostly lights out since the opening TD drive!
Once again ....Iowa offense opens with nice drive 2nd half....deep in the Red Zone 4th & 1 ..Petras and A-A Center Linderbaum FUMBLE the ball....
.....and where has Charlie Jones been. Has Petras completely forgotten him? Jack Campbell's a monster. It's a beautiful thing watching that Iowa offensive line bull dozing the Kentucky defensive line. I'm not sure Petras is the answer. I hope Iowa has recruited a big time QB.
it seems only LaPorta is capable of hauling in the usually-errant throws of Petras. Petras poor accuracy is a tremendous obstacle for the Hawkeyes to overcome......and where has Charlie Jones been. Has Petras completely forgotten him? Jack Campbell's a monster.
Yep. you beat me to it. Announcers saying Petras is playing injured?it seems only LaPorta is capable of hauling in the usually-errant throws of Petras. Petras poor accuracy is a tremendous obstacle for the Hawkeyes to overcome.
Petras has missed a WIDE open Ragaini on at least two occasions for BIG plays ...

I love Iowa's defense, but if they win this game, I'm giving the MVP to the Iowa OL!!!!!the announcing duo keeps talking about how much larger Kentucky’s defensive line is than Iowa’s o-line ... yet the Wildcats look to be VERY flabby and poorly conditioned compared to the much sleeker, rugged looking linemen of Iowa. this appears to be bearing out in game play, as Kentucky keeps having linemen go down with “injuries” that look to be nothing more than cramping.
