I wonder that too. Old merits don’t last forever and he’s been getting chances. Not a top roster to work with but often very sketchy decisions. And honestly, was he really ”great” as a DC with the Pats?

They should. My wife is a Pats fan and was devastated when TB went to TB and the replacement was Newton.
Stafford feels like a more BB-compatible QB than Cam. And Matt is white ofc

It's a toss-up between DeShaun Watson and Lamar Jackson on which one of them is my most loathed black quarterback. Both of them are arrogant SOB's with extremely low IQ's. How either of these mental midgets are starting QB's I'll never understand. I hate Watson too. He's pure arrogance especially after his "why not me" nonsense during their win against the Bills last year. Watson has victories against the Jaguars twice, the Patriots and now the lowly Lions. He has taken the mantle over from Scam (who comes in at #2 for me) on my most loathed QBs. Both of them are just repugnant cocky bastards.

I think Lamar Jackson hype is more driven by the media than anything he does personally. I'm no fan but don't find his personality as off putting as Watson or Newton. He is not the brightest bulb in the room but runs fast and plays ok in the offense (if Tebow played in that offense it would widely mocked). The league has him figured out so he's going to have a long slow decline unless he gets injured like his backup RG3 which accelerates the process (now he might be the most loathsome black quarterback of all time IMO).

if the Lions get a high pick next year and a franchise Type QB is available i think they take him and trade Stafford. Staff adds contact is coming almost up, at least to the point where they only take a small cap hit.

In 2012 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh replaced white QB Alex Smith with an inferior black quarterback, Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick choked in the Super Bowl. If Harbaugh had stuck with the superior white quarterback the 49ers would probably have won the Super Bowl.

Today, in 2020, Smith is still in the league, playing well. Kaepernick has been out of the league for years.
