2020 NFL Week 5

Van Ginkel with the sack-fumble. He's really been a pleasant surprise, another excellent white pass rusher.

Troy Reeder finished with 3 sacks, 7 tackles, and 3 assists. He's more than earned a starting spot. Whether he'll be allowed to keep it when the "real afflete" returns from injury remains to be seen.

Looks like a serious lower right leg injury to Prescott. . . .

Am I the only one still watching the games?

I have been watching the Giants game all along.I sound like Big Gun Real junior but I could swear the Giants are getting screwed in this game. Huge TDs called back and I thought I saw obvious holding on a recent Cowboys run. But I'll just chalk it up to some ambiguous ill timed calls.

The reason teams should have competent back ups is because of what happened to Prescott. Yes it does look serious. But having Andy Dalton as a back up is pretty darn good. Most teams don't have that luxury.

Season ender for dak and he may never recover or regain a starting position again.

LB cody Barton will start for the Seahawks today

Another down to the wire game with Giants-Cowboys. I noticed Mike Gesicki had a 5-91 stat line that I think included a 70 yard catch. Van Ginkel must have played a lot since he ended up with around 6 tackles including a sack mentioned above. Was Van Noy injured because he only had 1 tackle? Van Ginkel needs to play more and obviously Gesicki should always be utilized. Maybe member Tannehill can answer the Van Ginkel question if as I assume that is a game he watched.

No kidding always take a deal like that when it's on the table!

Some cucked up analysis on Prescott by weeniworld. Pretty laughable considering he was the starting QB of a 1-3 team. Funny how Dalton came in and was able to lead them to a victory putting up stellar passing numbers. NFL is down another black quarterback so I'm not complaining:

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Dak Prescott will undergo right ankle surgery Sunday night in Dallas.
He's done for the season. There aren't words to describe how big of a loss this is to the Cowboys and the sport as a whole, as Prescott had a truly historic first four weeks of the season and was probably going to be in the MVP mix if Dallas was able to start stacking some wins. But now Prescott will endure a long road to recovery and has no contract beyond 2020. It would not be fun to be Prescott's agent right now. Andy Dalton signed in Dallas just for this emergency reason, and he'll be the starter moving forward. The stocks of all the Cowboys' pass catchers will take a hit. Ezekiel Elliott will be the engine of the offense.

A lot of small school guys have been emerging lately.

Some guy I've never heard of Dennis Gardeck stepped in for the injured Chandler Jones to play the edge. He is tiny for an end - 6' and 230 - but he was manhandling the Jets tackle at times. On one play he straight bull rushed right to Flacco and pulled him down with one arm.

It was an impressive debut for a guy that's pretty much been on special teams his whole career.

Pretty disappointed seeing the weekly thread with very few folks posting and for the most part it's us regular posters. Considering you are still contemplating turning the lights off here due to low participation from forum members the lack of comments in the thread are disheartening.

I'm looking forward to watching the Vikings tonight. It's gonna be a very tough matchup. Hoping for a huge game from Cousins and Thielen!

This is the lowest weekly NFL participation thread I can remember, and because of it the number of views right now is just 2,800.

I know a few posters have made an effort to post more, but for the most part those promising to post more if the site continued was a big bunch of nothing.

I’m gonna start recruiting some buddies... have a few candidates who are absolutely hardcore CF style guys and know if the site but haven’t joined

Yea maybe with the Vikings playing tonight, the Saints tomorrow and Bills on Tuesday we may get to see a bump in participation. I know I am doing what I can to keep the site going but if CF ends up closing shop I know that at least I have done what I could to try and keep it going.

I hear you Don and Leonardfan, I can not in good conscious watch a minute of the vile NFL. I come here daily to see how our guys are doing. There are some big boxing matches to close out the years. I will focus on posting there.

Sounds good. You have been a great addition my friend.

All the other forums could certainly use a boost in participation.

hope Dalton leads them to NFC Championship game, who cares what these analysts think? they are not betting the games and never put their money where their mouth is, just a bunch of blowhards who worship blacks
