What makes me so angry is that these cultural ******* Marxists are stealing from me a game I love.........one of the pleasures and pastimes of my life. I played high school football and grew up in the South where it was almost a religion.......Friday night high school......Saturday SEC. I grew up on Archie Manning, Pat Sullivan to Beasley, Spurrier and so many more. I looked proudly on tonight as Joe Burrow and his intact White parents sat humbly in their middle class home in a poor White area of Southern Ohio to receive the rewards of their life-long efforts. Knowing that it would be one of few........but what came after was an assault on who I am as a human being in the country and culture I grew up in. Not trying to be overly maudlin here........but I may be done with the game of football. For over a decade I have proudly fielded an all White FF football team in the same league.......at first to the howls of laughter......followed by awakening and respect from my fellow players. Waiting for another Trey Quinn to be humiliated as ‘Mr. Irrelevant’.........waiting for another Wes Welker to go undrafted........ditto Amendola and Hogan.........watching another Toby Gerhart get ****** over.......I don’t know. Let’s face it, without the Patriot run starting in 2007 with Welker it would have been hard to be fans over the past 13 years. Thanks to Don and the others that make this site possible. Sorry for the rant.....

Yea Im looking at Packers Reddit right now and nobody is happy about it. This move only makes the slightest bit of sense if they want to move on from Aaron Rodgers and soon! Every fan and sports analyst knows this was a horrible pick, are you telling me that an NFL front office dosent see that? I think this is a total conspiracy!

I'd have to think they would not have traded up just to trade him away. I think they view him as the heir to the quarterback position after Rodgers is gone.

That was delightful. Replete with warm and fuzzy family scenes featuring dads that weigh 500 pounds and fat younger brothers who are addicted to junk food. These are the families that keep Burger King and McDonalds in business. Extra fries please!

Fool that I am I had my 8 x 10 1/2 notebook out to write down the white first round picks when a mini pad ( or toilet paper if I had any) would have sufficed.

I suppose we can take solace in the knowledge that in terms of overall talent this could turn out to be the worst first round draft in the history of the NFL.

Six world changing wide receivers. A lot of Alabama and LSU players chosen. 15 ( yikes) overall from our favorite conference the SEC.

And the Packers just gave Aaron Rodgers the finger. And unlike Brady who went over BB's head and told the owner he didn't want Jimmy G breathing down his neck anymore, Aaron doesn't have anyone to turn to for help.

I am sure everyone noticed that TV screen full of fans Roger Goodell kept talking at. That should be ( on a bigger scale) the substitute for fans in the stands and their noise can be piped into the stadiums as well in the case they play in front of no fans in the stadiums this fall. That is still up in the air obviously. But under the more restricted circumstances it is difficult to envision college football pulling it off so I would have the NFL play weekends and Monday and Thursday and nationally telecast 12 full games a week. Four each on Saturday and Sunday and two night games on Monday and Thursday. Venues will need to be arranged. It can be done. The TV viewing experience wouldn't be quite as good as the normal way but it would provide a suitable enough substitute.

I don't expect much relief tonight either. So think of last night as the first part of a drive-in triple feature horror picture show. Tonight will be the final two installments. Probably a little less scary than the opener but scary nonetheless.

Meanwhile I'll keep tabs on the running commentary here.

Defensive players most likely to come off the board tonight are Logan Wilson, James Lynch, Kenny Willekes and if we get really really lucky then maybe Tanner Muse. You never know especially with all the surprises we saw last night. I’ve even seen talk of DT Robert Windsor going in round 3-4.

I concur LB Logan Wilson is pretty much a slam dunk tonight. Packers should grab him. DT Lynch is also very possible. Willekes would be a long shot. I have not seen his name that early.

A couple or few OL will likely be picked and QB Jacob Eason very likely and probably Jake Fromm.

As for TEs we could see up to three. Cole Kmet is a lock tonight and the Pats should grab him. I like Harrison Bryant a lot, very twitchy. Adam Trautman might also get nabbed.

So a few nuggets but overall it won't be a good night.

We will see much better news Saturday but unless the applecart is upset and we get a few big surprises this draft will leave an overall bad taste in the mouth which is what most members have been predicting.

One other thing. As I predicted OL Mechti Becton's drug test failure had zero affect on his draft status. He was picked 11th. And expect another cheat LB Zack Baun to be picked early tonight. The message is loud and clear from the NFL. Black players are given the green light to drug cheat without fears of retribution.

Yeah but I don’t care about the mock drafts, the “experts” don’t know anything and they’re not the ones drafting. As we saw last night there were about 7-10 guys picked that were not showing up in the first round mock drafts. I’m predicting we’ll see some good surprises tonight.

Watching these GMs in their basements making their big decisions? I would like to go head to head with these guys. By the way guards and centers are just as important as offensive tackles but you wouldn't know that these days.

When it comes to wide receivers these clowns aren't doing the proper homework.

They also have trouble discerning real defensive players from frauds. And perhaps they notice and just ignore it but I saw several first round picks last night that look to me like they are on the juice. Not that the NFL cares anymore. They never cared in the first place actually.

That said below is an article on of so called fringe WR Chris Finke. A bit of a babbling brook piece but the writer finally admits he thinks Finke is faster than his recorded time at the combine performed with a bad hammy.

Below is the best video ( over four minutes) I have seen on Finke and the first thing you notice is he is faster than 4.57 speed. That walk on tag detracts from his obvious athletic ability. Secondly he looks good out there and gets up field in a hurry. And his punt return instincts look top notch. Plus he played for Notre Dame and faced cream of the crop competition.

So any of these overpaid well dressed GMs with a brain cell should actually look at this video and come to the same conclusion as me which is a nice late draft addition. The video is at the end of the article.

The Pack who were one game away from a Super Bowl have wasted their first round pick. They need linebacker help and offensive line help. They have one real wide receiver. Who drafts a second or third string player in the first round these days? And to think they moved up for this?

I keep hearing this well you can't pass up a stellar QB when he is available. You mean to tell me that say two to three years from now when Rogers is in a clear decline you won't be able to draft a QB who is the equivalent of Jordan Love. Nonsense.

This is yet another caste cute move by Gutkunt that will backfire. Sure why not piss off your only great player. Without Rogers the Packers win how many games? Two. Oh but the Smith brothers on defense. Where were they when the 49er's ran through them like butter?

A horrible move any way you slice it.

The Chiefs drafted LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (love those stupid hyphenated names) with their first round pick. Now I don't want to pan Clyde here as being a bad player, but if he was a cracka, he would never have gotten a sniff in the draft. He would never have gotten anything higher than a NAIA offer out of HS. He is "diminutive" at 5'7", 207 pounds. 4.60 40, 39.5 vertical, no 3 cone or shuttle drills.

At LSU he was a good back, quick with good hands out of the backfield. Put up good numbers in the Joe Burrow-led attack. He will probably be a decent NFL back. But we have plenty of white RB's out of HS who would be as good or better, but they never get a sniff out of a school like LSU. Or even Morehead U. Most give up and get a business degree or if they insist on football must change to LB, FB or TE.

No doubt I and plenty of Packers fans are pissed about the pick. As mentioned they did nothing to help their team that was 1 game from The Superbowl. Does drafting a developmental QB in 1st Rd help that defense that was gashed for 285 rushing yards? Not only did they draft Love, they traded away a 4th Rd pick when they could have certainly remained put at 30 if they really wanted Love. Double waste.

As for Groshek I expect him to receive plenty of carries and catches. Hoping for at least 500-700rushingyds and 250 receiving. Something along those lines, who knows he could start off in RB by committee and runaway with the job.

He's faster and a better blocker and receiver than Watson. Berger is hyped up but only had 900yds rushing last season in HS. Seriously doubt he'll be competing for anything, likely redshirt. He's no JT or Dayne just because he's from Jersey.

I was surprised OT Ezra Cleveland wasn't taken in the first round. With his elite athleticism he should have been. I think he's a better prospect than OT Austin Jackson who was taken at 18.
