Since 2005 the white starters are 8,7,8,9,8,8,8,11,10,7,6 and 6 in 2019. This season looks like 7.

Michigan is the typical paint by the numbers caste team. Rarely do they veer far off that line. WR Oliver Martin was the rare highly rated WR they brought in but he bolted. That said there are occasional bright spots and this year is much like any other year with a twist. In QB Dylan McCaffrey they just might have the most exciting QB in all of college football. Built like his dad Ed and not Christian, the rangy Dylan can really move and he alone will make Michigan essential viewing. I didn't think he was a senior but he is listed as that? Their FB Ben Mason is a bit of a kick. An old school ruffian. Huge DE Aidan Hutchinson will continue to cause mayhem and this should be his last season as the NFL draft beckons. I can't determine the racial make up of a back up LB who may very well be all white? Down the road two freshman DL prospects that should emerge include Braiden McGregor and Gabe Newburg. Depth overall is really terrible.

LATE EDIT: QB McCaffrey has opted out and will transfer with two years left in eligibility. Brutal news.

Players to watch: OL Trevor Keegan, OL Karren Barnhort, DT Jess Speight and OL Nolan Rumler.

OFFENSE:
QB Dylan McCaffrey (SR)
LT Ryan Hayes (SO)
OC Zach Carpenter (FR)
OG Andrew Stueber (JR)
OT Joel Honigforg (JR)

DEFENSE:
DE Aidan Hutchinson (JR)

Despicable khaki cuck. LOL

Lol yea. He's been a big time disappointment. Did not build up the program like he did at Stanford. Instead he made himself look like a bozo with all his recruiting stunts and has brought in overrated underachieving 4-5 star affletes during his tenure.

We can't put stock or blind faith in any head coach to turn the tide of the caste system.

I'm trying to read in between the lines. Word is Dylan and his dad were furious the Big Ten announced they were suspending football back in August. But I also think that khaki prick was giving off hints Milton might overtake him.

I still haven't figured out how Dylan became a senior so quickly but reports are he is looking to play two seasons with his next school see article above. I wonder where he will transfer? By the way Michigan is now unessential viewing this season.

When they first hired khaki prick I thought it was a cute idea. No more. His act has gotten old real fast.

Well said and yup Hutchinson is the only player worth keeping tabs on. Important to our DL crop this year.

Dylan leaving is great news for me. I have followed this team since I was a kid and I wanted to ignore them this year but was vacillating because of the excitement of another McCafferty. Not anymore. Harbaugh has misused him up to this point anyway. So it's best for him as well to leave. That Harbaugh has turned out to be a disaster for Michigan.

Harbaugh is the reason Dylan came there, and apparently he is the reason Mccaffrey family turn their backs on this team.

Comical article about the state of Michigan football under Harbaugh. I think the funniest conclusion it comes to that it cannot recruit with the Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State. Fact is Harbaugh has gotten more than his fair share of 4 and 5 star recruits and most of them have not panned out. He was hired in December of 2014 so his first recruiting class would of been the 2016 class. I'll start with the 2015 class which would of been Brady Hoke's last go round with recruiting:

Recruiting class rankings per 247 sports:
2015 - 37th nationally
2016 - 8th nationally - the Rashan Gary class - he was overrated as a recruit and has been a big time NFL bust. Devin Bush was a very good player. QB Brandon Peters now starts for the Illini.
2017 - 5th nationally - ran off WR Oliver Martin and QB Dylan McCaffery. Otherwise a bunch of no name 4/5 star affletes. Ben Mason was in this class - his talent has been squandered.
2018 - 22nd nationally - Aidan Hutchinson the best player from the class. This is the class that Haurbaugh got his black quarterback starter from. Lots of no name affletes once again.
2019 - 8th nationally - More of the same - too early to tell
2020 - 14th nationally - More of the same - too early to tell

If you ask me it looks like their is a major issue with recruiting within the confines of the caste system. Tons of mediocre 3/4/5 start "athletes" who basically worked the system to produce underachieving teams on the field when compared with their preseason hype. Haurbaugh chased the recruit rankings rather than building an actual team. He could of done it the Stanford way but instead he went all in on the caste system. He has no one to blame but himself.

I wonder if their black OC is on the chopping block too. The one who helped in anointing the black quarterback as their starter.

Michigan fired DC Don Brown, per Bruce Feldman of The Athletic.

Brown spent five years with the Wolverines with mixed success. At times, especially earlier in his tenure, Michigan had some of the fiercest defenses in the country thanks to his blitz-heavy style. Brown had initially come to Michigan after four years at Boston College, where he quietly led some of the most sound, structured, and toughest defenses in the country at the time. It makes sense that Michigan may want to scrap the staff after things have gotten stale, but Brown will surely find work soon. Michigan finished 96th in the country in points allowed (34.5 per game) in 2020.
