I've got a D3 Backer worth mentioning. Sam Romanski(6'2 225) from UW Eau Claire. He's been an absolute terror during his career, racking up 216 tackles and 29 sacks through his JR season!

According to Pro Football Focus, Coastal Carolina senior LB Teddy Gallagher earned 10 tackles in Week 2 without missing a single tackle attempt.
Gallagher's 10 tackles without a single failed attempt were tied for the most of any player in the FBS. To earn double-digit tackles and be around the ball that often without a single miscue is some phenomenal consistency. That consistency is nothing new from Gallagher, though. In 2019, Gallagher led the team in tackles and earned third-team Sun Belt honors. Coastal Carolina will hit the field on Friday evening against Campbell.

Arkansas State redshirt senior LB Justin Rice earns the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week award.
Rice, a transfer from Fresno State, was all over the field in the team's win over Central Arkansas. Rice racked up 12 tackles, four tackles for loss, and three sacks. The redshirt senior LB had just three sacks all of last season, so he is well on his way to outpacing his sack production from a year ago. Arkansas State play Georgia State next week.

He's been a nice surprise this season, had no clue he had transferred from Fresno. Good player.

Damn I had no idea he had transfered either. He's a legit pro prospect that's got some great speed to go sideline to sideline.

Looks like he transfered suddenly because the Mountain West postponed their season in August and it didn't look like they were going to play.

I should have elaborated and stated prior to the season starting had no idea Rice transferred! Glad he's having an instant impact. Sun Belt can always use some White Stars on Defense.

He didn't play their opener against Ohio State because of an ankle. He is from Lincoln and is a walk on who earned a scholarship. He is listed as a back up to Will Honas but was inserted into the starting line up after Honas couldn't go against Northwestern. He is 6'1" 220. Nebraska has a lot of white athletic linebacker talent on their roster. Starter Jojo Domann is a hell of a player. Honas is very solid. There are promising back ups galore. But everyone in Nebraska can't stop talking about #28 sophomore Luke Reimer who finished the Northwestern game with a 10 tackle, 1 strip sack and a 1.5 TFL game.

Many think a guy named Luke is the best athlete on the team. And they aren't even referring to the dynamic Luke McCaffrey who looks poised to take Nebraska in a better direction perhaps starting this week. Reimer runs like a panther. Reports from the game thought Reimer's performance was nothing short of stunning. We have a live wire on our hands and a player that can bring Nebraska back to their glory days. Another Luke ( Gifford ) who was also from Lincoln thinks Reimer is a big NFL talent already. LB coach Barrett Ruud said unlike other players Reimer never loses his speed even after many repetitions. Meet Luke Reimer!
