Arkansas State redshirt senior LB Justin Rice earns the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week award.
Rice, a transfer from Fresno State, was all over the field in the team's win over Central Arkansas. Rice racked up 12 tackles, four tackles for loss, and three sacks. The redshirt senior LB had just three sacks all of last season, so he is well on his way to outpacing his sack production from a year ago. Arkansas State play Georgia State next week.
He's been a nice surprise this season, had no clue he had transferred from Fresno. Good player.
Yes Bucky ...you replied back to my post in WEEK #1.....it was not a normal week as nobody from P5 had played yet. Nice exposure for Arkansas State...He's been a nice surprise this season, had no clue he had transferred from Fresno. Good player.
