So this is the big week where the Big Ten ( and Mountain West) jump into the fray. Interesting games abound. But there is a problem. Isn't there always? All the juicy games are packed in during the day but the early evening games aren't much to write home about. I might veer off to watch the World Series. And once again BYU is on what I call the "Midnight Special." Air Force plays a late night one too.

My clicker isn't as fast as the one I used to have making it a chore trying to watch multiple games and once. It is much easier to watch one main game and watch a secondary back up when the chance allows.

No need to go over the plethora of games except to say the marquee Big Ten game out of the chute is the Nebraska-Ohio State matchup. Instead of the Clemson game I will get NC-NC State. Normally that game wouldn't be of big interest but after watching the NC State defense last week I will keep an eye on LB Payton Wilson and the boys.

Although most of my attention will be on the Giants-Eagles game tonight I will give a look in on the Arkansas State- Appalachian State game. Senior WR Brandon Bowling and junior WR Thomas Hennigan are off to solid starts this season but they are not on the NFL draft scouts radar. I'll translate that into English. They were never born and don't exist.

Enjoy the games. Almost a normal week for a change.

Is Mike Epstein still going to be the starter for Illinois? I hope so. His talent is imense but the kid just can't stay healthy. If he has even a slight chance at the nfl he needs to shine and stay healthy in his final 2 seasons. Illinois is a 20pt underdog
against Wisconsin. We could see two very good white running backs tonight on national tv. Mike Epstein and Garret Groshek of Wisconsin. Hope they both put on a good show.

Mike Epstein fumbles on his first carry. Noah Burks recovers the fumble. This is gonna be a fun game to watch! :)

Nice drive capped by the white man TD! Too bad it was off an Epstein fumble though.

Excellent blitz by Badgers on 3rd down! Jim Leonhard is a defensive Wizard!

I like this Mertz kid.

Yes and he is the first freshman qb to start for Wisconsin since 1978!

I'm pissed about how Groshek only has 2 carries. The kid deserves a legitimate shot to be the starting running back. If Wisconsin can't be fair we are in trouble. The other 2 more hyped backs haven't done anything in the first half. Let's look at the stats so far:

Nakia Watson 8 carries for 22 yards.
Issac Gurendo 5 carries for 12 yards.

Garrett Groshek 4 carries for 15 yards. He is averaging the most yards yet they won't let him run the ball. On the receiving end Groshek has 3 receptions for 21 yards.

It's amazing that Epstein is still running and running well after all his injuries. He was such a talent and he will probably never achieve his full potential because of what happened to him.

Still hoping for a great Senior year and after that who knows...

WR Bryce Miller TD catch for So.Florida! Nice story from NAIA school! QB Cade Fortin finally plays ...BEST SERIES of the game a few nice runs too ; leads them down field; then hurt shoulder/arm on run

Thanks for the Updates! Do not get the Big 10 Network down here in Louisiana. Is DB Scott Nelson getting to play for Wisconsin?

Wanted more carries for Groshek. Ferguson has looked good this far at TE as well. Top3 round talent !

Unless the official team website was wrong Mike Epstein is only a junior. I believe he was credited with a medical redshirt for last year as he only played half of one game. He has 6 rushes for 30 yards so far tonight but won't get much more chances
to run as the Badgers are blowing Illinois out in this game. He still has that burst. No doubt about it!

Pretty sure all players have an extra year of eligibility due to the "pandemic". So even if he is a senior he can come back next year.

Epstein playing decent the rest of the game after the fumble. At least Illinois isn’t a fan base that overly attacks him on Twitter for the funble
