With the Dolphins trading Drake today, maybe we will get lucky and see Patrick Laird finally get to play tonight on Monday Night Football against the Steelers. That would be epic but I won't
get my hopes up. It's like with Zenner and how our guys get treated. In a fair world, Laird like Nall should have been the starting rb from day one after the preseason.

Did anybody see the ridiculous clown-world celebration by the Packers defensive unit after recovering a fumble in the game last night? It's not the first time I've seen this sort of tomfoolery, but it's one of the worst trends that I've seen. They all posed in the end zone as a group shucking and jiving. Good lord.

Laird is active for tonight. Even though the Dolphins suck on every level, you have to root for the kid. Please let the offensive line do something, anything?

Let's Go Dolphins! Give this kid the damn ball. He has waited all year after leading the team in rushing in preseason. Please let him see alot of reps! Run Patrick Run!! :)

Booger and Tessitore in full anti white/pro black mode tonight. Their main target is Mason Rudolph.

Nah the Steelers don’t need Big Ben to win games.

Fitzmagic is looking sharp and decisive. If he can stay locked in, it looks good for the Fins. Now if Laird can find the field it will be a good day.

Yeah I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick the ball out of Lucy's hands. Everytime I think one of our guys might get a chance it rarely happens. Is it too much to ask to give the kid
a few carries? It's not like it's gonna cost them the game. Come on Dolphins. Show some balls and get Laird at least involved a little in the game plan.

Amazing how these a-holes can celebrate like that when they are winless on the season.

Laird has the misfortune of having the Dolphins winning this game. If only they were getting spanked like usual he would be featured prominately on up the middle runs.

let’s be fair ... with numbers like they’re putting up tonight (10 total carries for 23 total yards and a long of 7), it’s clear that Ballage and Walton are the type of dynamic playmakers that could never be replaced by a lunch pail-toting, blue collar gym rat. even if said gym rat outperformed them during the preseason and in the underwear olympics of the NFL draft complex.

the Caste System is firmly in place.

I cant argue with that Chitwood. Without the established Dolphin RB’s they wouldnt still be in playoff contention.

TD Pittsburgh, we need 2 more Pitt TD’s to laugh and point at the crappy undersized fullback out there.

i mean, why would any rayciss think a White “boy” could compete with these obviously dynamic running blacks?

for example, check out these game breaking numbers coming into tonight’s contest:

Ballage - 25 carries for 43 yards (long of 6), avg 1.7 and 3 catches for 29 yards (long of 13)
Walton - 30 carries for 137 yards (long of 19), avg 4.6 and 9 catches for 58 yards (long of 18)

you can’ ‘spect no honkey cracker tuh match dat!

an iffn ya don’ thank doze numbas be fuh reel, dat’s cuz Maff be rayciss, too.

The upsider who averages more than a solid yard a carry, just fumbled to lose the game. Hopefully he fakes an injury and we can see some garbage time lunch pail RB attempts to block.

Some DWF on the Dolphins message board saying Mark Walton is running his ass off. Guy has 10 rushes for 26 yards. I really hope that was sarcasm

Hold the presses ....Boogar McFarland singling out Nick Bosa & TJ Watt as Defensive MVP Candidates!

Trying not to be too irked with the Ryan Nall situation; he deserves to be carrying the ball for some team instead of wasting away!

with Pittsburgh losing all but one of their RB’s to injury this would be a perfect situation for Nall. I kind of wish Zenner would have waited for more injuries before signing with Arizona. Wouldn't mind seeing him cut if it wouldn't crush his soul.

Mason Rudolph bounced back nicely after a shaky start. Also loved JJ Watt immediately congratulating his little brother on social media after TJ's strip sack & recovery.

Pittsburgh DWFs are a fickle bunch. Quick to boo their own team and quick to forget it once the team turns things around. But I suppose DWFs in every city are like that.

The DWFs in the Chicago were exactly like that drunk and angry with life. I am not kidding.

For every great story this past week there is a sad underbelly. Kupp was off the charts and Alex Erickson is finally getting a chance although they promptly benched Dalton for the next game. Erickson should have been drafted and deserved to be a starting NFL wide receiver but it never happened. I am cautiously optimistic that he will get more chances but I wouldn't place a big bet on it.

But the downsides are prevalent. One of Cody Thompson's less heralded teammates at Toledo made noise last night for the Steelers as Thompson rots on the Chief's practice squad. Ditto David Sills with the Giants. Two big time college stars going nowhere fast. Neither was drafted of course.

Then there is Trey Quinn who gets such few targets with the Redskins. And I worry Adam Thielen might not eclipse 1,000 yards this season.

And the two speedster WRs that did get drafted? Andy Isabella and Scott Miller continue to rot in anonymity. Meanwhile throughout the league I keep seeing no name rookie black wide receivers getting reps.

When A J Green finally plays, week 10 after the Bengals bye if reports are to be believed, Alex Erickson's snaps will likely go down quite a bit. Alex is arguably the best receiver on Cincy right now, not even arguably, but we know how the Caste System works.
