With the Kupp's performance for maybe the first time in a long long time a white WR will lead the league in reception yards simultaneous with a white RB leading the league in rushing - perhaps even after week 5 ends. Just maybe there should be more White WRs and RBs seeing as the very few that are allowed to play end up leading the league. Anybody got a guess on when this last happened?

The season where the late Jim Taylor lead the NFL rushing, at that point in the NFL the league was virtually devoid of Black receivers. The perception was Blacks weren't as good at memorizing the playbook and you were wasting speed at the position as the league was run first, second and third if it was short.

Kupp is amazing. The Rams defense has taken a step backwards. Did Wade forget how to defend the dungbeetle? Regardless, Legatron should have made that kick. Pete's Planation once again lucks out.

With the sack yesterday, Clay Matthews has had at least 1 in each game. 6 sacks and 2 forced fumbles is already much better than he had all of last year. He’ll need to keep it up, but at least for now, it seems he’s turned back the clock and is set to have his best season since 2014.

It was an infuriating game to watch at the end. Hell, the Rams play these guys TWICE a year, every year. How does the defensive front not know what Wilson does? And don't get me started on the BS roughing call on Matthews. Flagged for defending while being white.

Wilson is damn elusive though. A bunch of times I thought the Rams were going to sack him but he would move at the last moment. If they kept a spy on him it would cut down on his ability to run, but might result in more downfield completions.

The call on Matthews was indeed ridiculous, reminiscent of a couple made on him at the beginning of last season, but Wilson played another very strong game.

Thanks Freethinker, did not know Clay was off to such a dominating start! Definitely padding his Hall of Fame resume. Heck, with that start, you'd think he deserves a $143 million contract?

FD, I agree 100%. You know what really infuriates me? I've been rooting hard for the Rams (for obvious reasons). It would be nice if Aaron Donald the "143 million dollar man" could make a great play, once-in-a-while, down the stretch to help close out a game? Looking at the stat line from last night, he didn't seem to fare much better than rookie Greg Gaines.

Now I realize Donald probably faces constant double teams, but come on, make a game changing play from time-to-time! He had 31.5 sacks the last two seasons (averaged about 1 per game) and deserved the accolades he garnered. This season he has one sack in 5 starts. Rams need much more than that.

P.S: Starting linebacker Bryce Hager sat due to a "stinger' last night. First missed game in five years. But it wouldn't surprise me if he's been irrevocably tagged as a "career backup/special teams mascot" and never becomes an entrenched starter in the NFL. Good news is a bigger, (faster?) and younger Troy Reeder stepped in and posted 13 tackles last night. In 4 starts, Bryce had 10 total tackles. Don't misconstrue what I'm saying, still rooting for Hager, but given the realities of the Caste system, Reeder might be a better option going forward, if it's a two-Goy race for one spot? Reeder was a starter at Penn State as a freshman, then transferred to Delaware. He seems to be a real "throw-back", in the sense that he's insanely intense. Watched the Rams pre-season games and there were constant sideline shots of "veteran blacks" trying to calm the "kid" down a bit. Was also thrown out of a pre-season ganfor a late hit or whatever. He's definitely one to watch. And like Hager, he's the son of an NFL player. I remember (Britt) Hager Sr. in the 1990's; don't remember Reeder Sr.

"TheMaven wants to replace top journalists in the industry with a network of Maven freelancers and bloggers, while reducing or eliminating departments that have ensured that the stories we publish and produce meet the highest standards," the petition reads. "These plans significantly undermine our journalistic integrity, damage the reputation of this long-standing brand and negatively [affect] the economic stability of the publication."

The new controlling executives include Ross Levinsohn, the controversial former Los Angeles Times CEO. The plan as described in the journalists' petition appears to echo an earlier strategy by Levinsohn, who was appointed by Maven. As publisher of the Los Angeles Times and an investor in a digital outfit called True/Slant, Levinsohn embraced a strategy he termed "gravitas with scale" — a model that was based in part on unpaid contributors and meant job losses for the traditional newsroom journalists in the Tribune publishing chain.

Thanks for the link BFedUP, I needed some good news today and you provided it. This is way too funny. Most of those highly-paid lefty (Social-Justice Warriors) Sports Illustrated writers are being pushed out the door by a greedy Lonsmen (Levinsohn), who essentially wants to turn Sports Illustrated into the Bleacher Report or SB Nation -- basically a bunch of anonymous, undistinguished bloggers and writers working for free or making very little money. So Sports Illustrated, as it was known for many decades, is basically done. Hopefully it goes belly-up as soon as possible.

Below are some solid posts from 2018 with Shadowlight, Don Wassall and Heretic weighing in on the topic of Sports Illustrated being on the brink collapse, following in the footsteps of ESPN's garbage publication which was shut down last year.

P.S. Back to the topic of NFL: Clay Matthews, who was off to an amazing start, suffered a broken jaw last night. Expected to miss a month? Not good.

Colt McCoy is set to start against the Patriots. I think McCoy is a good quarterback but is somewhat injury prone.

I expect him to do well but he is playing against a tough team. He'll certainly do better than Haskins.

Times keep changing for the worse. Not too long ago I could reflexively enjoy a chunk yard play or a TD by a white wide receiver. Those days are gone. I wonder if I am being irrational but why do I now cringe in fear every time a white wide out heads up field half expecting some half ass ticky-tack call to mysteriously appear? Only after a play has settled for a minute or two and it becomes clear a play will stand can I relax and enjoy the occasion.

Don had mentioned Andy Isabella had a nice 15 yard run called back but they "allowed" his 5 yard run to stand. Irrational, paranoid call it what you will but I can't shake the feeling that these damn refs are targeting white skill players.

Terrible news about Clay Matthews who has been top notch this season. And speaking of refs, I agree with the above posts. That was one of the worst calls I have ever seen. I guess the refs go the extra mile for honkies with long hair?

I was disappointed that LB Hager couldn't play but as noted above Troy Reeder filled in admirably. I wasn't sure if he was white until Truthteller pointed out he was originally from Penn State which jogged my memory. I can't remember the details of why he left Penn State although I believe he got injured?

DT Aaron Donald, who most NFL people proclaim is the best defensive player in the league, bull rushed upfield the entire game which played into the Seattle scheme. By the way no offense to defensive tackles but no one can convince me they are on par in importance with middle linebackers. Point being Luke Kuechly is still the best defensive player in the NFL!!

Here in the DC swamp TV market I get to enjoy America's Team, the New England goyim Patriots, roll over the hapless Redskins tomorrow in the Fox 1:00 game. As mentioned Colt McCoy will start for Dan Snyder's cash cow, nee team, so that magical upsider Haskins doesn't get his confidence further damaged by another 3+ interception or multi-sack game as happened last week. It should get ugly early. As always we hope that Trey Quinn, Apke, Chase Holcombe, Kerrigan, and Ioannidis all have good games, as well as Edelman, Burkhead, LaCosse and Ryan Izzo. Perhaps it will get so ugly that Gunner Olczewski gets to see some snaps at WR.

I’d love to see Olszewski get some snaps. He’s really fun to watch with the ball in his hands, even without the ball in his hands he’s always working hard (example is the 2 big blocks he had on one play for Stidham in the preseason). I’d like to see them use him like they used Edelman before he was a star with reverses and carries out of the backfield.

Maybe Hunter Renfrow will have a nice game today:

The Raiders only have Hunter Renfrow, Trevor Davis and Keelan Doss active at WR. Of course, the passing game is expected to continue to flow through TE Darren Waller. Perhaps the offense's limited resources at WR could cause the team to finally get Josh Jacobs more involved in the passing game. The Raiders are presently implied to score a pedestrian 17 points in London.

The 1:00 CBS game here is New England - Washington, and the CBS game is Minnesota - Ghanian Giants. Two very watchable games.

Ryan Kerrigan and Ioannidis with the sack on Brady on third down. Good to see three white players involved on one play!

TE Ryan Izzo with a 30-yard catch and Matt LaCosse with a 22-yard catch for NE. Ben Watson was eligible to return today, but didn’t.

TD Julian Edelman!
