2019 NFL Week 4

This week's opening game looks like it might be decent fare, the Philadelphia Eggles vs. the Green Bay Packers. It would be a welcome departure from the ghastly exhibitions that we've seen the first three weeks.

I would be surprised to see the Eggles come out and lay an egg when it would significantly damage their chances at making the playoffs. The game features two of the very best white QBs in Carson Wentz and Aaron Rodgers. Some decent receiving options on both side as well. Here's to hoping that Jake Kumerow gets a chance to shine.

Agreed, FootballDad, on all points. It's going to be tough though to go into Lambeau Field and get a win. I want to see Wentz and Ertz do well but I'm taking a wait and see approach. Dallas is rolling in the NFC East but it's early, and they may be the ones to lay an egg this week in New Orleans. The best part of this matchup is as you said, two White elite level QBs who will definitely be slinglin' it all over the place.

Definitely a good Thursday Night game for once. Neither Rodgers or Wentz has gotten it going yet. This could be the week they both start really turning it up a notch.

With 2 White DL in the rotation in Lancaster and Lowry. After year's of watching fat slobs along the DL its refreshing to see some Fit Overachievers. Haven't watched as much Packer Football as usual, but it seems Martinez has picked up where he left off last season. To me, both him and Schobert are two of the best MLBs in the game. I think rest of league is slowly catching on.

I’m kind of leaning towards the Eagles this game. I’d like to see Carson Wentz reestablish himself as a great young quarterback. Two years ago he was in his way to an MVP before he got hurt. Now, Mahomes is the consensus top young QB. No reason Wentz shouldn’t get back to that level.

Credit where it's due: That third down catch by Allison to set up the GB touchdown was a great catch. Rodgers throw was a off-target wounded duck to say the least and Allison caught it in an awkward twisting of his body. Glad GB got a TD since they blew the earlier drive with a fumble. Rodgers redeeming himself for sure. He's just plain great.

Wentz with a perfectly timed throw on the run out into the flat for that TD. He is an elite QB in this league and only needs to stay healthy.
At least this game isn't a flop like some of the other Prime-Time games this year. Hmmm, who are the QBs??

Every great now and then a player is seriously hurt (Ryan Shazier), but otherwise the prolonged, overly dramatic scene of players on both teams praying on the field that the injured player isn't paralyzed or dead while the TV networks eagerly get to air several minutes of commercials, is another absurdity of the Caste NFL.

It is indicative of our "sue-happy" society where if someone looks at you the wrong way you can sue for emotional distress. Yet Blacks can play the knockout game nationwide and get away with it or get minimal charges if caught. Go figure.

I was referring to the ritual of the players acting like it's a life or death situation every single time a player stays on the turf for a little while, along with the announcers solemnly playing along, not the methodology of the medical treatment itself. I've seen it happen maybe a thousand times and only two or three times was the player actually serious injured. Almost always he's playing the next week or maybe misses a game or two.

If our media wasn’t controlled by Cultural Marxists, someone funny could create a show lampooning the NFL, the Caste System and the buffoonish blacks that occupy most roster spots. Much of the comedic material could simply be mined from the various Caste Football threads from over the last decade or so. It would be a hilarious sitcom.

You can't get blood out of stone. It's why Brown has been allowed to become the dysfunctional clown that he is, his money buys people off.

Ryan Shazier suffered a significant neck injury but is rehabbing and will be able to live a normal life. The only players I can think of who were paralyzed are Mike Utley and Darryl Stingley. Utley was a Lions guard who was injured in a freak play in 1991; Stingley's misfortune is much better known from when Jack Tatum launched into him in a 1978 preseason game, back when d-backs were allowed to be missiles and Tatum was as badass as any of them. So that's two very serious injuries in the past 40 years that I can recall, none since '91. But the last rites ritual still takes place multiple times every Sunday.
