I'm late on this, but awesome to see The Claymaker with a sack in his debut with LA. Would like to see him reach 100 sacks in his career.

The Patriots game was great. Loved seeing Belichick embarrass Tomlin on national TV. As already mentioned, Burkhead outplaying Michele was a pleasant surprise. Burkhead is a much better fit for the Pats anyway given his versatility as a receiver. Hopefully he stays healthy and gets lots of opportunities.

I like the signing of Antonio Brown, as long as it is a one year rental. It would be awesome to see the Pats cap a perfect season in Miami, in the hometown of media whore Don Shula.

I was for the most part pleased with the Patriots. Edelman was tearing it as well Burkhead. I must say Rex was dominate in the last part of the 3rd and fourth quarters. Let's face it, NE will always be a committee of RBs. Rex, if he stays healthy, will get ample touches. I see there are a couple more pale faces on D, hopefully, the trend continues. What can you say about Brady? Brady being Brady. AKA as the GOAT! I guess will see how the AB signing plays out. Even that sociopath has to realize his leash is so much smaller than he is used to.

The media is gushing over the performances of dak and jackson. They say pay dak now and give jackson all credit after one week. Week 1 is bizarro week because you generally see these kinds of performances because teams could not gameplan properly from preseason tape. To me week 2 the start of real season.

The Patriots still have the GOAT at quarterback, continue to enable Julian Edelman to be a hall of famer, feature Rex Burkhead when they want to close out a game, and now have Winovich and potentially Simon. Hard to not root for them; Belichick has always taken a chance on black prima donnas. They really don't need Antonio Brown to win this year, same old same old with this imperial franchise.

I’m not sure how much Winovich and Simon will play when Van Noy returns next week, but it was a pleasant surprise to see one of these white defenders in the game on every single play...

When Brown is inevitably inserted into the lineup, I assume he’ll be taking Dorsett’s starting spot. Edelman should be even more wide open on his deadly crossing routes. With Brown in the fold, will Thomas be cut?

Sumo RT, Marcus Cannon, went down with a should injury and could miss time. Perhaps they’ll activate Dan Skipper from the PS?

The usage of Burkhead was encouraging. The third round rookie Damien Harris was a healthy scratch and as usual James White wasn't used much in the running game. Sony Michel has bad knees so the possibility is there that Rex could finally have a big statistical season if he can stay healthy. At the least he should continue to get some runs and receptions every game.

I predicted a few weeks ago C-MAC has a good chance of winning the NFL MVP this year. Two or three things really stand out this year. He is much stronger than he was last year especially on the 2nd td when lb Clay Mathews had his legs wrapped up at the one and he still muscled his way into the end zone after an almost perfect tackle by the safety. Pretty impressive. Has there ever been a rb with better vision anywhere??? Maybe Barry Sanders. The second great thing to see is the O-line really manhandle a very good front D-line where if they were not opening gaping holes they were holding there blocks ( which ain't easy in the NFL ) allowing MCcaffrey's vision to take over and find a different hole. Third and last; has there ever been a better player at any position with better hands and awareness? On his second catch yesterday a Rams lb tipped a ball at the line of scrimmage and went backwards over C-MACs head and he still had the awareness to turn and snag it. He caught a similar bounce last year for a td among 3 defenders. After watching C-MACS combine performance I am convinced he has the best hands of any football player ever to grace an NFl field which I am sure is arguable.
The fact that he is a humble, hard working dude with literally every enviable trait a football player could have I believe gentlemen we may never see a player of his caliber in the next 200 years or ever , so enjoy him while he lasts.

The fact that it looks like Carolina's O-line is vastly improved they should make easy work of Tampa Bay next week and look for McCaffrey to go for probably over 180 yards rushing and I'll say 6 catches.

If C-Mac wants to last, I am sure he aware of running towards the sidelines instead of taking on head on tackles. This is where RBs are broken down fast.

Tom Brady is now 6-0 at home against the Steelers, with 21 TD passes and 0 interceptions. Pretty fantastic stuff and as I'm sure you can imagine, the Patriots' dominance over the Steelers drives the Pittsburgh DWFs nuts.

Maybe I am expecting too much but the first two weeks of college and the opening week of the NFL were overall disasters in my book despite the good stuff that have been mentioned. Certainly CM, LB Cole Holcomb and DE Sam Hubbard to name a few, played well. But their teams lost which takes off some of the shine.

Two strange games where teams had games won but blew it. The Lions game revealed a worrisome pattern I have detected over the years. Think back to the Super Bowl where the Pats lost to the Eagles. In that game multiple hero games by white skill players yet the all non white Pats defense let the Eagles go through them like butter the entire game. I think Brady threw for over 500 yards to mostly white guys and they still lost.

So here we have the Lions sailing along with the two obvious heroes being rookie TE Hockensen and WR Amendola. Both scoring TDs and going over 100 yards. Headlines would have read rookie TE and veteran WR burn the Cards. What does the all black Lions defense do? They squander a huge lead and let munchkin man, who looked horrific for most of the game, pass all over them as the game ends up in a tie.

Do black defenders not try as hard when it becomes obvious the heroes of the game will be white skill players?

Surprised this wasn't mentioned. The Jets had a 17-0 halftime lead on the Bills at home. But Josh Allen, who struggled in the first half, played with poise and led his team back. I watched the whole game and was proud of the way Josh bounced back after a ragged first half. The media decided the Bills defense, which I still think is overrated, was the difference. The Jets offense seemed to be inept. My point is the media does not like Josh Allen because he is a very athletic white QB. If Allen was black they would be talking about him like they do Lamar Jackson.

I am very worried about the future of the white WR. Yes there seem to be more on rosters but most of them didn't see the field yesterday. And except for Amendola and maybe Edelman most got to play pitch and putt while the young black WRs got to haul in the long glory passes. Against you guessed it all black defensive back fields who looked as clueless as usual.

One example of this dink and dunk crap. Every time I have watched a Steelers game with Ryan Switzer in the slot they throw him balls that average roughly a half inch away from the line of scrimmage. Usually a button route where he catches it facing the QB with no momentum to run. Like usual he made some difficult catches last night and had a 6-29 stat line which is 4.8 a catch. Like a damn running back. Just once, one stinking time, I would like them have Switzer run a damn pattern that is longer than a few stinking feet. Get him in space so he can utilize his speed and outstanding quickness and agility.

What is there a law now that white wide receivers are not allowed to run pass patterns past ten yards? Probably another black locker room
rule where only the black dudes get to run in space. This is becoming too obvious to me.

Also Don mentioned in the safety thread that the Chiefs Sorenson has been benched, which is what the local media and beat writers have been pushing like crazy despite his fine play. The Redskins defensive backs were burned real bad by the Eagles. The local media and beat writers take? It was the front seven's fault. You can bet your life and anything you care to name that if Troy Apke was playing DB there would have been a public execution. I am so damn angry.

Sony Michel has bad knees so the possibility is there that Rex could finally have a big statistical season if he can stay healthy. At the least he should continue to get some runs and receptions every game.

In the “Do Your Job” documentary, Belichick and McDaniels are interviewed during a film review session of last year’s playoff run. They repeatedly mentioned that Rex is the only RB on the roster that gives them a “dual threat” (rushing or receiving) and that they intentionally put him into the game to influence the personnel decisions of the opposing defense. In other words, they feel they are less predictable.

Burkhead is extremely injury prone since arriving in NE (including 2019 training camp), so here’s to hoping that his encouraging usage doesn’t end up in injury.

Their is alot of disparity now between rushing and passing attempts. Teams are throwing the ball alot more - it will be interesting to see if a 5 yard catch on 1st/2nd down is viewed as just as valuable as a 5 yard run. Historically a 4 YPC average is viewed as the baseline for a good running back. As the NFL becomes more passer friendly at least our guys are able to find a niche in replacing some element of the running game. I do agree that the routes run by Switzer were all underneath and safe routes to gain a few yards with no real chance to let him create after the catch.

Rex based on his injury history will best excel in the second half like last night. He is always a shoe tackle from going to the house. If that means starting another RB for the 1st and 2nd quarters so be it. Rex as the players get tired in the 2nd half will be gobbling huge yardage and TDs in the 2nd half this year. I hope based on this scenerio that Rex can at least amass 1200 yards rushing and receiving.

Some pretty average games by these qbs and there is already tons of wishful thinking . I was just looking up stats and this was the first thing in the search results

Eraserhead never had a game this good before (not even in college) and likely never will again. BSPN doesn't mention that he was going against the worst defense in the league.

Lots of praise from them for BBQ Brisket, but the important and understated thing is that he lost.

No mention of Crab Legs and his terrible game.

Too much emotion and hype from lamestream sports media after one week of football. Minshew had a great game, and we're all happy for the man, but we're not shouting "Hall of Famer!" because that's not logical after one game. BSPN should take a lesson from us.

What a bonehead that Hopkins is. He was wagging his finger afterwards and then looked surprised a foul was called on him.

Against Whites. For the last past 7 or so months, on their home page they have a black MMA fighter punching the face of a White MMA fighter. For what purpose. Then they have the "Undefefeated crap" and the continuous Ali is the greatest bit on their home sit. It never ends.

So much for elusive QB who can evade the rush! Watson is getting sacked every time I look at the screen! By White players!

What can we do about this. We have created alternatives to YouTube and Twitter. Other social media alternatives. But ESPN is the only one in sports. We need alternatives. I don't see the culture changing at ESPN any time soon. So we need to push alternatives or just stop watching ESPN all together. Let them crash in their own demise with this PC crap. Go Saints. Glad Anzalone is having a good game. McCaffrey MVP! Let's make it happen.
