The Wrecking Nall looked good making catches out of the backfield. If nothing else they need to keep him as a special teams short yardage back.

One more day like that for Tyqueesius (4 for -1, and 2 fumbles) and it would be hard to get a roster spot.

Laird performed admirably both as a running back and as a receiving back. Under normal circumstances I would say there’s no way this kid doesn’t make the final 53 but then again this is the Mozambique Dolphins we’re talking about.

Who is the Michael Walker guy with the jaguars? Kid has some jets and is running with the second team offense, that can only be a good sign! Side note: Nathan Gerry finally gets the stamp of approval to start at weak side linebacker, about time!

He’s a rookie from Boston College, he was one of the best return men over the last 4 years. Over 2500 kick return yards and averaged 13.5 yards a punt return in college, he can fly!!

Cody Thompson 7 catches for 69 yards against the Steelers.

Tyler Matakevich was his usual tackling machine self, but of course remains "too slow" to be an NFL starter.

I'm a huge Cody Thompson Fan. Hope he shines for the Chiefs this season. He is off to a great start. Here is his
combine work out. The kid is very agile, coordinated, great balance and incredible hands.

Rare situation where the Patriots defense had more intrigue than the offense.

LB Calvin Munson was the leading tackler with 8 total.

DE Chase Winovich had another outstanding effort. 6 total tackles (2 of which were for loses), a sack and 2 QB hits!

Niemann played well for the Chiefs.

Being from the area what is the feeling on Rudolph? He looked good last night and would of had 3 more completed passes if it was not for drops. He made some great throws into tight windows. I actually think the Steelers are developing him correctly and if he does not replace Big Ben in a few years hopefully he moves on to start for another team.

Dobbs had a terrible throw in the red zone where he just floated it right into the arms of a Chiefs DB - would love to see him get cut.

It also looks like the Pats pick of Stidham in the 4th round is going to be a good one. He is a pleasant surprise for sure and could very well take over for Brady in a few years.

Dobbs is currently the DWF choice to be Big Ben's backup, being blessed with "upside" and all. And frankly he's played decently this preseason so far. Rudolph has looked good though and should be the heir apparent. The problem is that if Ben plays a few more seasons that will be quite a long wait for Rudolph. Ben detested Antonio Brown and Leveon Bell and likely feels he has a new lease on life with them gone. Rudolph could well play out his rookie contract and sign elsewhere.

Has anyone seen or heard anything about David Sills? I’ve gone to several Bills’ forums and see nada. He is listed 3rd on the depth chart for one if the WR positions.

He doesn't have a catch in the first 2 games. Not looking good. Sills has to show up really fast or he might not make even the practice squad. That being said I know the kid has the talent!

Although not his fault, he has been hampered with hamstring injuries on & off for several months now. That could be the biggest problem. It was also explain why he has rarely played and only was thrown to once yesterday which was a incomplete pass.

Couple of preseason games left today but despite a few nice stories all mentioned above like Winovich and Daniel Jones I see storm clouds up above.

I saw a little of Patrick Laird's play but I didn't realize how good his stat line turned out. Same with the Chiefs WR Cody Thompson. Are they now at least in consideration for opening season rosters?

The Tampa Bay WR looked promising before the preseason but Scott Miller has yet to play due to a dreaded hamstring issue and I am also worried both Justin Watson and Spencer Schnell might not make the 53 man roster either. This whole thing could blow up in our faces.

The Bill's David Sills has yet to make any impression this preseason. That doesn't bode well. The Texans undrafted S Chris Johnson was cited as playing CB but then I noticed he got injured. Not sure the nature of it though.

And in general there are too many white WRs who are on the cutting edge of the 53 man rosters. Braxton Berrios has proven himself as a true PR but will that be enough for the Patriots? It would be for me.

Is Trace McSorley seen as a legitimate Taysom Hill type or will the Ravens dump him on their practice squad?

And there are numerous white skill players who fit into that purgatory status where I get the feeling too many will just miss making the "hallowed" 53 man rosters?

There are still two key weeks left but right now in general I am worried. Maybe I am missing some good defensive stories but on offense I have seen too many young white WRs either not getting enough reps and or being ignored while out there.

Denver rookie QB is said to have been having a decent preseason. The Broncos have Joe Flacco and second round pick Drew Lock on their roster so the number three quarterback spot is up for grabs. It's between Kevin Hogan and Brett Rypien.

I like both of these players. I think Rypien, like Hogan, has prospects to be a long term backup in the league with a chance to develop into a starter. My guess is both will end up on 53 man rosters this year.

Great game by Taysom Hill (as always). Nice pick six to end the game by a white LB, only to be called back on an imaginary “low block”. A block which neither happened nor would have impacted the run back. Of course there was no replay of said block.

Yeah Taysom Hill is a Special Athlete! Showing his Tailback Skills.... 55 yards rushing on just 4 carries + 9 straight completions...some perfect throws; including one off the WR's face mask for an incompletion to upside Butler. Even dwf's are in awe & calling for Taysom to be Brees primary back up over Bridgewater; who struggled today.

Harrison Smith showing why he's the Top Safety in the NFL. The announcer described his pass break up " like a bullet".

Thielen Tremendous over the shoulder catch!
What was the knock on you coming out of college?? "There was no knock; nobody ever scouted me"

Packers RBs have collectively combined for 45yards on 20 carries through first 2 preseason games. Ouch.

And AJ Ouellette isn’t even good enough to be on a preseason roster? Ha!

The coach and new GM have me as a Packers fan worried, my guess is that they are half wit followers who can repeat the conventional wisdom that they hear such as the morons on ESPN spew. If they want to light a fire of those Upsider RBs bring in a White RB. Vikings did this with Peterson he went from fumbles to HoF because Toby was brought in the year after he helped blow up the team's SB chances.

He’s been with the Browns......He had some garbage carries in the first game, no carries this past weekend......They assigned him number 1.....Running backs that are number 1 are camp bodies.....The Cleveland announcers, during game one, were wandering what to do with the running backs while Hunt is gone.....Not even considering AJO...So many of our guys are so under appreciated....It sickens me guys like this, that are bad ass, can’t even get a scholarship to a MAC school.....

You took the words right out of my mouth "rockyblier". The treatment of these white running backs makes me want to vommit. AJO would be a star. I have not a doubt in my mind. Just like
Toby Gerhart could have been special. Hell even Brandon Wegher showed so much star potential but the only things teams look at is the color of their skin.
