Sometimes I just wonder if Weenieworld doesn't understand the english language or math. According to them Moreau ran a 4.66 which is "respectable enough". A black TE runs a 4.70 and they indicate his speed is "adequate, if not spectacular".
LSU TE Foster Moreau ran the 40-yard dash in 4.66 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Moreau (6'4/253) coming in with a respectable enough time, fifth-best among combine tight ends. He does not carry the overt offensive appeal of the top tight ends in this class, but has the blocking chops to work in-line at the next level. When the LSU product does get the ball in his hands, he can be a load to bring down. Moreau is a likely Day 3 selection for the draft.
Notre Dame TE Alize Mack ran the 40-yard dash in 4.70 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Mack (6'4/249) is a tight end who has always intrigued -- he was a stud recruit coming out of high school -- but largely failed to impress during his time with the Fighting Irish. His speed is adequate, if not spectacular, and he's adept at extending for difficult catches when called upon. He remains something of a project, though. Not an adept blocker (though capable if he puts his head down) and raw on routes, with some questions about focus and attention to detail. Mack could push toward a Day 2 selection if a team falls in love with him, but he's more likely to be ticketed for Day 3 when all is said and done.
