As I wonder each week if the concept of the white wide receiver is dead and there seems so little hope I turn your attention to the Thursday and Friday night TV games.

I know I sound negative but chances are the three wide receivers I will briefly describe below will have flat games. Why would I say such a thing? Because that has been the pattern this year where no white wide receiver can sustain consistent performances that makes one think they are down the road viable candidates for the NFL draft. So I figure things will turn out badly as that has been the running theme thus far this season.

Hell Clemson stud S Tanner Muse hurt his hamstring I believe. The crap keeps piling up.

That said we can always hope for the best. Three wide outs. All sophomores. All talented. Worth discussing anyway.

East Carolina--coming off a big play 2-100-1 stat line Blake Proehl has a 20-283-2 stat line after five games. Great bloodlines. Thursday night game.

Cincy-- With NFL size and speed Alec Pierce has a 14-277-1 stat line after four games. Coming off a 100 yard game. He was a Big ten target in high school.

Penn--Ryan Cragun has a sterling 16-273-2 after only two games. He will be on Friday night against Dartmouth.

The fact that these players are only sophomores is encouraging but while I am always hoping for the best I expect something bad to happen. But I will be watching rooting for them like crazy.

A cautionary tale would be senior San Jose State WR Bailey Gaither. A baseball burner who chose football Gaither looked like a big play threat but has been side tracked by injuries and just being ignored as his career has stumbled forward. Last season he had a 16-327-3 stat line displaying his speed and this year his stat line is 13-268. He has little chance of being drafted. We can only hope the fate of the sophomores mentioned above turn out better.

All four of these players will be on televised games.

Shadowlight, I know it's tough to not see our guys contributing in big ways so far in terms of WRs. I think it is somewhat cyclical - this may be a down year for white WRs but next year should be better. I would argue that their is some optimism with the TE position this season - we are seeing alot of good results at the quarter mark of the college season. The deck is stacked totally against white athletes across the board. The caste system is doing it's best to eliminate white athletes - the write up Claimjumper did comparing schools with white starters in 2005 all the way through 2019 pretty much sums it up. Even when their were more whites in the college game the NFL was still ignoring them - it is blatant and obvious stereotyping and discrimination.

Shadowlight I believe from what I read in the S.C. papers Muse might be back by the Florida State game on Oct.12. They have a bye week this weekend. His younger brother plays tightend for the S.C. Gamecocks.

The sooner S Tanner Muse returns the better as he is part of the Stud Brothers. His "brother" Nolan Turner came up huge against North Carolina and in an interview following the game Turner also has his sights on the NFL. Turner was in on the game saving last play stop.

Yale plays Fordham this Saturday by the way. Future pro ( we hope) Zane Dudek is 4th in the league in rushing with a 43-187-1 stat line.

Keep an eye on 2-0 Princeton. They have a senior RB Ryan Quigley who has a 14-107-1 stat line so far. Senior wide out Andrew Griffin is second in the league in receiving with a 11-251-5 stat line. Junior quicksilver WR Jacob Birmelin is 4th with a 11-155-1 stat line. Senior Jack Cook of Harvard is 3rd with a 12-214-2 stat line. Six out of the top ten receivers are white.

A bit of a snoozer of a weekend for running backs....
Our top two guys have byes....(Borghi and Carney)

Yale is on direct tv Saturday at 1:00. Channel 624, I think.
Dudek has been bottled up the first two games....
This is my go to game and the most important....
We need ZD to rush for 200 yards and get back on the nfl radar......

Speaking of Bailey Gaither his 80 yard TD was magnificent as his speed was on full display. By the way after the play the refs conferred for what seemed like hours regarding a flag. The flag was dropped way after the TD. Must have realized a honky was the recipient and thought long and hard about calling it back.

But like always San Jose State ignored Bailey the second half as he finished with a 2-90 -1 stat line. This former HS baseball star took the football route which is highly unusual for white dual sport athletes although Ole Miss QB John Rhys Plumlee has decided to play both sports in college.

As far as the three sophomores I highlighted above as expected they had off games. Par for the course in this frustrating season for white wide receivers.

Alec Pierce-Cincinnati- 1-11-1 in big upset over caste UCF. Nice TD though. Not targeted the entire night.

Blake Proehl-- East Carolina-2-32

Ryan Cragun--PENN--had an injury and didn't play. PENN finally has a nationally televised game and their budding star white receiver is MIA. Drives me nuts.

Two other promising sophomore wide receivers ( Philips and Cota) will hopefully be on display tonight for UCLA as they play at home against Oregon State. I've become accustomed to expecting the worst though.

Just think of the two speedy senior wide receivers Chris Finke and Will Hastings who haven't even got out of the starting blocks thus far and we are five games in already. Both were sort of on the NFL radar but that notion has dissipated fast.

Match ups I am looking forward to today.

A noon battle as Michigan and Iowa go at it.

Auburn against dreaded Florida.

Air Force at Navy--go Air Force.

Texas ( go Jake Smith) at West Virginia.

Michigan State and their stud front seven at Ohio State.

Northwestern at Nebraska. Two teams that have stumbled out of the blocks.

God Almighty I hope college football throws us some bones this week as my frustration level is reaching a saturation point!!

Nice preview Shadowlight!

I do not feel great about UCLA's WRs as they have another black quarterback that will be scattershotting the ball all over the field. I hope Chip Kelly and get Colson Yankoff in the mix next year.

I hope Joe Burrow's fast start continues against Utah St. All of the draft hype is around the overrated black QB from Utah St so hopefully he struggles.

Michigan looks lost - Haurbaugh has really hampered Patterson. If Iowa wins they should be a top 10 team.

Oklahoma gets another bad Big 12 team in Kansas for the media to hype up Lincoln Cuck Riley's newest black quarterback transfer Hurts.

Hopefully Northwestern gets on track - they lost Bennet Skowernek this week. Hunter Johnson has looked pretty bad - probably the biggest disappointment. Fitzgerald needs to make some offensive adjustments. I feel the Northwestern defense is strong. Scott Frost's mystery meat black quarterback has to be one of the most overhyped players in the country - he was getting Heisman and Big10 offensive player of the year talk at the begining of the season. Shame on Scott Frost for neglecting white QBs and in state talent.

Tenn has benched their mystery meat quota for a white true freshman against UGA. It is a peculiar move but hopefully Brian Maurer plays well in what is sure to be a loss. The UGA offense will continue to hamper Fromm's Heisman chances and the shot to put up big numbers. He is alot better than how they utilize him. Credit to UGA (and Clemson) for not keeping their QBs in the game so they can put up inflated numbers like Oklahoma and Alabama are doing with their non-white QBs.

Cal - Oregon - Have to say I am going for Oregon - Herbert has looked very good this year and continues to solidify his draft stock, Breeland has been a breakout star at the TE position and I believe WR Brendan Schooler is back this week. With Chase Garbers injured Cal's offense is being led by a black quarterback who is not very good.

The Spartans vs the Cuckeyes - Lewerke has been sneaky good this year, Fields has been overhyped (playing lots of bad teams thus far). Michigan State's front seven is fantastic - their secondary needs to hold up their end of the bargain.

The Huskies will probably blow out Stanford. Eason has been another QB having a great season flying under the radar - probably the best QB Peterson has ever had in terms of physical talent. Stanford is trending downward - I like both of their QBs (Costello who is injured and Mills) but Shaw has abandoned what made Stanford a very good team for the last decade by selling out to mediocrity and affletes.

I believe Freshman QB Grant Gunnell will be starting again for Arizona this week against Colorado and their non white QB Steve Montez. Gunnell is already a better passer than the overrated and former September winner of the Heisman Khalil Tate (he is injured). Sumlin's only success has been with white QBs running the offense so hopefully we see another strong performance by Gunnell (he was 29/44 352 yds and 1 TD vs UCLA last weekend).

Desmond Howard just declared Utah St QB will be playing on Sundays. Lol.

Some good B1G matchups as SL mentioned. Pumped to see Michigan State performance against Buckeyes.

Also it's a win/win as either Auburn or Florida loses today.

Looks like Kansas is being saved from their drubbing due to a thunderstorm.

Yea he's another black hype job quota. It's beyond ridiculous now with the agenda being pushed.

Yeah he’s a decent college QB but not an NFL guy. The only Sundays he might play on are preseason games.

Very true but I guess in today's NFL he'll no doubt float around as a backup for a few years. Seems they're already setting him up for it.

Texas Tech QB missed a wide open Dalton Rigdon for what would have been a 72 yard TD. Rigdon, McLane Mannix, and a black sophomore Xavier White all rotate in the slot but White is injured so today it will be all Rigdon and Mannix.

Now same play the QB looks for Mannix about 50 yards downfield and Mannix drops it right through his hands. Hate to see that, our guys can’t catch a break whether it’s on them or not.

Next series Rigdon gets a reverse and takes it 20+ yards before a debatable block in the back brings it back.

Go Iowa I hate on Michigan because I would be on I-80 after a game let out when they would be playing out West and their fans always drove like aholes

New guy to watch for is USF slot receiver Bryce Miller, he has 2 touchdown catches so far today and he had one last week.

Dalton Rigdon just caught a touchdown, making up for the one he was overthrown on earlier today.

Big BC tight end Hunter Long scored a 72 yard TD.

Not a chance that he is. Speaking of white players anyone hear about Riley Moss for Iowa? 28 for Iowa in the approved safety position and playing well.

What happened to Oklahoma TE/SLOT Grant Calcaterra? He only has 5 catches for 79 yards this season through 5 games.

Both Iowa State TD’s are by white tight ends, Charlie Kolar and Chase Allen each have one.

Army WR Camden Harrison with a nice 4-89-1 stat line so far on top of a Connor Slomka TD run.

Battle of the white backup QB’s for Boston College vs Louisville. Both black starters got injured, 41-39 Louisville with 30 seconds left.
