2019 College Football Week 1

I can understand the frustrations as I became upset as well with the games. The lack of white offensive skill players, noticeably wide receivers, is obvious. There is some young white WR talent on some of the rosters but we just don't know if they will emerge this season. Perhaps not. Although freshman Texas stud WR Jake Smith caught four passes in their win.

But that Northwestern game was like a dental visit. It was so bad I fell asleep.

But as mentioned above Auburn plays two WRs in shifts along with a young running QB. Who would have thought I would be rooting for an SEC team with no white defenders like Auburn but Oregon seemed even more caste. Both of those Oregon schools make me sick and between both teams there is only one player worth thinking about which of course is QB Herbert.

Michigan QB Shea Patterson was incredible and so was QB Joe Burrow of toxic LSU. Patterson's stats would have been better but there were a few huge play passes that were outright dropped by WRs. Both are the kind of athletic white QBs that make the NFL media nervous. Ha.

But overall even a lot of black skill players didn't have huge stats in what was a dull opening week. And there are still white defenders playing superb football. Michigan State's mean staples and David Woodward of Utah State to name a few bright spots.

And as mentioned above two of the deep fried caste clubs Florida State and Tennessee went down in humiliating fashion.

It would be nice if the Florida State and Tennessee losses ended up being a watershed moment where teams and coaches finally decide it is better to pursue a more diverse roster that includes white players. Clemson has been winning the whole thing with a racially diverse roster.

Since among the major schools Tennessee and Florida State are the most caste these losses should shoot holes in that old tired cliché that stacking a team with nothing but black and or non white players increases the chances of winning.

Maybe just maybe at some point in the not too distance schools start to recognize the value of having diverse rosters and I am not just talking about placing whites in caste appropriate positions.

You hear a lot these days about racial problems and not too much about racial harmony anymore. I am all for racial harmony but unfortunately most team's have a racial makeup that doesn't encourage racial harmony.

Alabama I would guess has an incredible behind the scenes machine to keep the TNB in check, the other clown schools see the roster of the Tide, try and emulate it without such a machine in place and end up like the usual bottom feeders.

NB Grant Stuard led Houston with 13 tackles tonight, was all over the field and never came off. He should be a DB with 100+ tackles this year if he stays healthy. Unlike most of the DB’s in college football this guy can tackle and he can tackle well. He’s a junior too so we’ll be seeing him next year as well.

Also forgot to mention UCF WR Alex Harris scored a 26 yard TD on his only catch. Not sure if he was only playing because they were up big or not.

Texas State WR Hutch White went 7-60.

From what I’ve seen it was not a good week at all for TE’s. Besides UNT former WR Jason Pirtle who had 3 TD catches.

Before we all get too up or too down on the season - the first few weeks are all about adjustments and most teams play cupcakes.

Ohio St played FAU (which resembles an SEC team) - all of the highlights of their prized black quarterback showed him throwing to WIDE open WRs or running through huge running lanes and not getting touched. Just another prime example of a mide tier football team recruiting low level black football players due to their skin color and"upside". I will be interested to see what happens when OSU enters big ten play.

Even in the game last night where Hurts has been anointed the new black quarterback savior - the windows he throws into are wide open - alot of wide open receivers (5+ plus yard of separation) and easy throws. Hopefully Murray gets exposed as a system QB in the NFL which should temper the expectations for any of Lincoln Riley's non-white QBs coming in down the road. Houston was a joke of a team outside of Stuard who actually came to play.

The way UGA is under utilizing Fromm will keep him from the Heisman conversation. When they let him off his leash he can do big things - he torched Alabama last year before Kirby Smart blew the game late. They seem content with trying to keep Fromm as a game manager which is total BS. I hope he declares after the season.

I've taken a look at the Tennessee message boards, home to some of the most perfect DWF's around. They think "something is just wrong" and "the players don't seem to care" and "there must be a locker room problem" but none of them can see it. They have no white players on the 2 deep. They are blacker than Grambling in many years. Meanwhile, they have their savior coming in the form of a white QB recruit. I doubt that kid will end up there, even if he could start for them as true freshman. Who would he hang out with?

I saw most of the running backs this weekend....
One I can think of of the top of my head is Nick Eury for Penn St....
He had a few nice runs in garbage time due to PSU and their 900-3 win.....
I’ve been keeping an eye on him for years, but he’ll never be elevated when you have new freshmen coming in each year automatically better.......

Tune in to Notre Dame vs. Louisville in about an hour if you want to see some good white slot receivers. Chris Finke (my favorite college football player for 2019) is a premier slot receiver and is one of our best chances for a draft pick in 2020, and Louisville’s Thomas Jackson has been receiving praise and is reunited with his old WR coach and should see plenty of action tonight. Both receivers are 5th year seniors. If I remember correctly Louisville’s Lamar Jackson replacement was not very good last year but hopefully he can get the ball to Jackson at least 5 times tonight. Finke has a great QB in Ian Book and we will see him in his usual punt return role as well.

Last night's ND game reflected the entire weekend. White skill players generally coming up short as noted above WR Finke was not involved at all even though he played a lot. But there were a few minor things to latch onto. More on that in a minute. QB Book showed off his wheels last nigh running for 81 yards. Game was sloppy though.

Thanks TwentyTwo for the terrific wrap. I did not know Kansas State WR Schoen had those stats. They played a minute of the game on ESPNNews and said Schoen's long TD was called back. Mind you that was probably the only TD that was called back Saturday. They went on to say Schoen hadn't got going. I always learn a lot from the TwentyTwo weekly wrap ups.


Iowa's WR Oliver Martin and his TD was noted in an above post. Also worth noting that freshman slot WR Niko Ragaini caught just one pass but it was dazzling. A bolt up the middle of the field showing off his quickness for 45 yards. These two make a great tandem.

And there is the older SEC tandem at Auburn with Will Hastings (1-38) and Sal Cannella (2-42). Hastings beat a defender deep but as usual black DBs in college interfere when a honky blows by them. Only a 15 yard penalty in college. And Bo Nix came up big when it counted. An unusual game.

Another example of what seems like a small thing that could blossom. Ohio State TE Jeremy Ruckert was talked up big last year as a freshman but he didn't play much at all. Saturday he caught two TD passes. I know it is too early but Ruckert not only looks like an NFL TE I would not be shocked if down the road he ends up being a first round pick. Guy has stud written all over him. True TE too. 6'5" 250 pounds. Pure athletic talent.

Last night ND started sophomore MLB Drew White and he looked solid. Keep an eye on OLB/Edge Jack Lamb who came in on passing downs. Just a freshman, he recovered a fumble and expect to see him blossom over time into a rangy athletic playmaker for the Irish. Highly recruited out of high school.

Even if the week seemed down and depressing based on the first week my first four draft picks would be white.

2-LB- David Woodward-Utah State-missed it but those stats. 24 tackles.

1-QB Shea Patterson-Michigan - watched the entire game. What an athlete.

Back up QB Dylan McCaffrey runs and is built just like his father Ed. Eerie similarity. I was a huge fan of "Easy" Ed who of course was a star WR for the Broncos.

Also quick note on Mercer WR David Durden that Twenty Two gives a special mention. He was discussed here briefly a while back. Another great athlete who fell for baseball. Played for the Red Sox organization I believe before giving up the ghost. Has tremendous speed! Like to see him transfer after the season to get more exposure. Same with UTC's Nunnelly. Nice to see some WR talent flash this Saturday even if they don't play for the big boys.

Expect to see some prime white talent once the Ivy League starts too.
