Guliyev another 19.9, Warholm AGAIN 2nd to Samba in 47.8.

Guliyev is making it look easy

I have to say that Ramil Guliyev is becoming the most dominant white sprinter ever. I'm so glad he got
gold over 200 meters at the 2017 World Championships but the media ignores the guy. Even the announcers were not too excited. He is so damn fast and so consistant. I hope he can go sub 10 again this summer. He has 2 sub 20's now in a row and
has run a 10.10 earlier this summer. Wow is all I can say!

well you guys can drool cuz I know Georgia as she competed against my girls when younger,my youngest daughter still keeps in contact with her, she has two brothers who are pretty good athletes as well. I hope she turns pro....

I'm really annoyed about this Samba guy beating Warholm every race.
Until last year, I don't think he ever ran the hurdles before, and suddenly he's the best in the world?!
That sounds so suspicious to me; and the fact that he competes for Qater, makes it even more suspicious.
All the world's best athletes in track and field are now from small, third world countries or competing for countries like Qatar that buys athletes to represent them.
I mean what are the odds that the 2 fastest women in the world are suddenly from the Ivory Coast?!
Do any of these countries have proper, year round drug testing for their athletes? I think you know the answer.

To be honest Joe Deng and Peter Bol were both accepted here at age 5/6 and started school here and sound as Aussie as Paul Hogan.
In each case the parents had fled Sudan's unrest.
We certainly didn't do a "Qatar" job by shopping for them.
Both look set now to break Ralph Doubell's 50 year old 800 record of 1.44.40 from Mexico.
They train under a pretty useful ex 800 runner, Justin Rinaldi, who 4 years ago trained Alex Rowe into equalling Doubell's record after 46 years.

Przemyslaw Slowikowski of Poland ran 10.29 in the finals after running 10.23 in the heats.

watched a recent 100m race with Ewa Swoboda winning in 11.30. I must say her starts are not technically good, she pops up right away with head straight making it look like she has no drive phase and just one long acceleration. She will have to lower her times in order to be competitive over 100m. I also have to say she is tatted up and not in a good way, she kinda looks butchy now. I wish women would think of what those tattoos will look like when they are over 60.

Yep, world junior 60m record holder (few years ago) should be better than that. I would have hoped she was approaching low 11s by now.
And about the tats - if it's true women become "invisible" around 55 she'd better hope she has someone to love.

Swoboda is a bit of a disappointment.
I fully expected her to be neck and neck with Dafne Schippers at this point.

I am fully expecting him to set a new pb in the 200 at some point this season. If he runs a few 100 meter races I think he could do a new pb and maybe a low 9.9X time too.

Dafne won the 200m at Ostrava in 22.54.
Good time, but she doesn't look like the Dafne of 2 years ago who was running down all comers.

yes I agree, she is tightening up at 175m in all her 200's so far, I think Schippers will get faster as the season goes on but I personally believe she needs more speed endurance in her practices.

Unfortunately, just like Jeremy Wariner, she switched coaches at the pinnacle of her career and has since fallen off.

Ewa Swoboda`s 100m race from last week. Notice how she pops up out of the blocks immediately while Pinto has a good 25-30m head down drive phase. Her PB is 11.12 or so nothing to sneez at but not in the elite top 15.

I tend to agree some what with this analogy. Although her fall off has not been as severe as Wariners or Lemaitre`s and Lemaitre didnt have enough balls to switch coach when He actually should have. Lotta rumours going around the local track scene here as to why Lemaitre has fallen off the cliff, they suspect he was juicing in the beginning around 2010-2012 great times then a complete drop in quality times. Personally I have always thought he is a clean sprinter. Schippers is in my mind a totally clean athlete.
