Not bad, it's and ideal spot to shave off at least 10-15 yards with a couple short/mid-range completions and make it a 35 to 40 yard field.....worst case scenario is to throw it twice (both incomplete) and then have to settle for a 50-plus yard field goal.

Coaches did not throw at all to help the kicker. Instead, they sent in a wildly over-hyped mulatto tailback (with a blonde Afro) and ran the ball to right hash for a yard....Which did nothing for the kicker, who missed wide right from 51.

Apparently, Broncos coaches seem to think 5o yard-plus are "chip-shots" because they made absolutely no effort to move much closer.....and why spot it to the extreme right hash, when the kicker had totally shanked his previous 62 yard wide right?

Good observations! The Broncos AA coach reduced his team's chances to win with poor coaching decisions.
 
At the end of the first half in the Broncos-Texans game where uber-genius Vance Joseph trots out the kicker for a 62 yard attempt with close to 20 seconds still on the clock giving the Texans the opportunity to kick their own field goal, Texans' coach O'Brien had this to say:

I'm surprised that he hasn't been given more grief for referring to an AA coach as a "dumb fu&#"
 
Not sure if I can stomach the two QBs in tonight's Titans-Cowboys matchup.
 
Any reason why Sean Lee is standing on the sideline while the Cowboys are on D.. then they send him in as the safety for the x point???

I can't think of any logical reason to take Lee off the field, ever, but for some reason they're rotating him and Vander Esch..

I'd like to see Lee, Vander Esch and Heath on the field together, but it appears they're trying to avoid that scenario...

Meh, Mariota and Prescott aren't nearly as loathsome as most of the other black quarterbacks, but they are both laughably overrated..
 
Dak Prescott and Marcus Mariota are decent game managers, not franchise quarterbacks. It was amusing to hear Jason Witten say that Mariota must develop in his fourth year. Four years? Most White quarterbacks get four weeks before the howls to replace them begin.

The Cowboys are now almost certain to miss the playoffs again, given their 3-5 record and a tough schedule ahead. They need an upgrade at quarterback, but will that remain a taboo subject in Big D?

Also, as with the Raiders, Dallas's recently much ballyhooed offensive line has declined dramatically. Only one overachiever started tonight.

And yes, Sean Lee hurt one of his hamstrings yet again. Hall of Fame caliber player, but has the most fragile hamstrings ever, a real shame. At least Vander Esch is in the process of succeeding him.
 
I watched a little of the first half - just was not interested. As Don said both Prescott and Mariota are game managers and Prescott's warts have become more apparent as that offensive line from 2016 which was dominant is no where near that level anymore. It will be interesting to see if Jones gives a Prescott a big money extension. Mariota - he was all the rage and hyped up so much so it must be hard for the media and DWFs to see him become an average to above average starting QB. Another decent QB class is coming out this year - have to wonder if Prescott, Mariota and Jameezzzz are going to be replaced. I am hoping to see the Bucs draft a young white QB - sit him and let Fitzpatrick start for another year. That leads me to my next comment - just thinking about the QB position and how the young QBs are getting thrown into the fire makes me think of how the Bengals drafted Palmer and sat him behind Kitna for a year, the Packers sat Rodgers behind Favre for a couple of years - even the Chiefs sat their black quarterback behind Alex Smith and it is obviously paying dividends. I do see merits to getting playing time but also think alot of these QBs could learn from veteran QBs and sitting for a year or two. It just amazes me how shortsighted the NFL is (that goes without mentioning the caste system which ignores white players all together).

In Prescott's rookie year, there was much exultation over the symbolism of a black QB for "America's Team."
 
At least with these game managers the social justus aspect is so obvious that it is like the King's New Clothes parable.
 
Adam Thielen was playing with an injured calf on Sunday. And Kirk Cousins threw for only 164 yards in the game. The Vikings are on bye this week so Adam has time to be primed and ready for Week 11.

The Cowboys are at a crossroad. What should have been a statement win at home turned into a disaster. For all the talk about WR Cooper as some savior the truth is he has been wildly inconsistent and not the upgrade the media figured on. I would label him a slight upgrade.

It is a tough time of the year to make wholesale changes but this team revolves around the leadership of LB Sean Lee and every time he gets injured ( which is too often now) the team falters. He is that important.

QB Prescott is a mediocre bore who made several horrible mistakes last night. He was the main reason they lost . That interception when they were getting ready to go up two touchdowns killed their momentum. I just don't see this team going anywhere with him at the helm. Which means the Cowboys will need to find a QB sooner rather than later.

The idea initially back when was to pound Elliot all day behind the OL but both the OL and even Elliot don't seem intimidating anymore. Prescott seems incapable of picking up the slack.

And even though he is a heck of a nice man the HC Jason Garrett will likely be let go at the end of the season if they don't turn things around. Without Lee to manage the defense that is unlikely. Very upsetting every time he gets injured. He plays defense the way it used to be played with quickness, sound tackling, anticipation and smarts. It is a lost art in today's NFL ( see Luke Kuechly).

As for LB Vander Esch the hallowed name of Brian Urlacher was brought up last night. Just gives you an idea of how damn good this young rising star has been playing. His potential is off the charts.

This team has three terrific defenders in Lee, Vander Eshe and S Jeff Heath to go along with a starting slot WR Cole Beasley. In other words a team to root for. Sadly things aren't working out yet again. The Cowboys can't seem to find that extra gear.
 
Jason Garrett is a good coach, NFL caliber, but is "forced" to go with a mediocre (at best) QB in Prescott. However, the caste media will make sure that if Dak goes down, so does he.

Weenieworld is claiming Dak needs a better coaching staff. Wasn't the current coaching staff the reason he was anointed a future HOF??? black quarterbacks get every excuse in the book.


"Dak is the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys," Jones said in his weekly radio spot. "He’s young, and he’s going to get extended." There is no ambiguity there despite Prescott's struggles over the last year. If Dallas wants Prescott to succeed long-term, they need to get him a better coaching staff.

Stuff like this is why my interest in the NFL has been waning over the past few years. Idiot Owners like Jerry Jones (same goes for GMs/Scouts/Coaches/self anointed "experts" etc. The only reason Prescott was effective was due to the OL play and running game. The O-line is now middle of the road to mediocre, Elliot isn't getting the running lanes - teams are not respecting the run like they once did and Prescott is not able to shoulder the offense - he is a game manager at best. The Cowboys will be mediocre for as long as they sign Prescott to his extension for.
 
I wouldn't bet on Prescott being signed to a long-term extension. If he is, it's proof positive that Jerry Jones has Alzheimer's.

I still remember he let Quincy Carter stick around for 4 seasons back in the early 00s. I really would not be surprised to see Jerrah sign Prescott long term - he has been a terrible talent evaluator since he took over control of the GM. The only reason they discovered Romo was due to Parcells.
 
Clay Travis is already saying that Jerry is going to throw money at Prescott, so long term Dallas is mediocre wild card round boob bait for the DWFs and the mystery meat that fills up his stadium. But then again Aaron Rogers is basically down to cashing a huge paycheck because the Pack is all but guaranteed to be middle of the pack for the rest of his career. I can see why Rogers was not happy with Jordy going down the road, his WRs all but disappeared in the 4th and the doofus coaching staff had no adjustments. The NFL being an oddity of having no real median team, either good 25% or awful 75% proving that Social Justus can violate mathematical principles.
