Battle of mediocrity tonight has the Jacksonville Jagulars at the Tennessee Titans. Master of inconsistency Blake "Help! My line sucks!" Bortles against the poster boy for "Meh" performances, Marcus "Poly Privilege" Mariota.

Not much to see here as neither team has really any palefaces in skill positions. A few rarely thrown-to tight ends and poor Tommy Bohanon rusting away on the Jags bench. Defense is worse as both teams feature coal-black lineups.

Sadly CF should be nothing but crickets tonight as only Shadowlight will bother to suffer through the game. ;)

There's a the white Titans tight ends also who might get a little something thrown there way, but yes this looks like a game to forget.

Yea TE Anthony Firkser rookie out of Harvard has really picked up his play the last few weeks, but he's still not enough to get me to watch the Titans.

Pretty sure Bortles is still benched for Kessler. My guess is he is done in Jacksonville. Will Coughlin try to remake the Jaguars into the team of the Mid 2000s with black jack del rio and the racist shack Harris as gm? Only time will tell.

Sometimes I will tune in to a game like this simply to root against an AA quarterback, but Mariota is so uninteresting I doubt that I will.

Ha that one made me laugh out loud.

Yep tonight's game is like diving head first into a dirty river. Not recommended. Even I will skip this sucker in it's entirety. Like an SEC/NFL mash up. Bad stuff.

Yeah, definitely not an intriguing game. I suppose I'll pull for Jacksonville. I mean, they did draft an interior defensive lineman named Taven Bryan in the first round this year. I would like to see him get more playing time though, as I'm sure will happen if history is any indicator in regards to Taven. He was recruited from the wilderness of Wyoming to play in the deep south at the University of Florida and in the SEC.

Taven soon became an undeniable force on the interior line for the Gators defense and was the first Gator drafted in the 2018 draft. With his immense size and physical presence, he also outworked the competition and became an elite DLineman in a league that does send a lot of players to the pros on the DLine, regardless if warranted or not. He did this under a dysfunctional coaching staff at the time as well.

Here is a highlight reel of him at Florida on the DLine. Rumor is he became one of the strongest players if not the strongest on the team before leaving. He was highly versatile at 6'5" 291 lbs and was a leader on a team that unfortunately was poorly coached at the time. And regardless of anyone's thoughts on the SEC or the University of Florida, Taven went there (did I mention New Orleans Saints starting LB Alex Anzalone went there too) and became an elite force on the DLine; and I expect nothing less from Taven in the NFL.

WR Moncreif for the Jags just made one of the most piss poor attempts trying to catch a deep ball...Perfect example of someone who looks like a ball player but has not ball skills...Cracraft would’ve layed out, Max McCaffrey would have layed out....Give me a guy with 4.5 speed and ball skills over a 4.4 guy with none all day.....Plus a lot of these guys who look speedy have average speed....They just “look the part”. Shallow, talent-less and spine-less recruiters and talent evaluators.

Just turned the game on to see Henry's lumbering 99 yard fun full of piss poor tackling and minimal effort given by the Jags defenders. Great example of the diluted product on the field.

Henry is the scouting bias in a nutshell, if he were White he would have been a blocking fullback at an elite D1 school who would have needed a rash of injuries to become the bell cow back at the college level. Then he would have had a running debate on whether he could play tailback at the NFL level and would have been lucky to be drafted in the middle rounds if a team thought of him as tailback and would have been a late pick as fullback. He's basically a juggernaut back who isn't in vogue at the NFL level anymore.

The run was fun to watch though.....

Looks like they did nothing to resist the couple of stiffarms Henry delivered on that run...

At least it looked like the Henry play was away from #93 which I assume is Bryan, I wonder if TV coverage then shifted to Bryan to make him the goat even though it was ran to the other side? I'll put good money those stiff arms of those stiffs are never shown on ESPN.

Kessler outperformed Mariota last night. Hopefully Kessler can take these last few games as an opportunity to impress and land a contract somewhere.

Kessler looked really good when he had more than a second to throw. He did a good job of moving around and escaping, which was almost constant. But a few good plays were then tossed out the window by a line that wouldn't block anybody leaving Kessler buried before he could even complete his dropback.

The first sign the defenders are mailing in the game or season is when everybody starts doing fundamentally unsound tackles that players are taught not to do at the Pop Warner level.

Arm tackling a juggernaut like Henry is asking for a long run as he has a good chance of breaking the tackle without losing much forward momentum. If you tackle the legs he could still fall even if you lose your grip.

Cody Kessler is a curious case. He had an excellent rookie year with a quarterback rating over 90. Then, after the Browns drafted AA QB Deshone "Turnover" Kizer, both the media and fans started saying he was awful and Kizer started the whole year. Now Kessler gets another chance and he does well again.

Odd isn't it. It's almost as if the media wanted a black quarterback to start over a white quarterback so they downgraded the white quarterback even though the white quarterback played well.

I don't know if you guys have noticed but the NFC and AFC are both in danger of being half black quarterbacks in the playoffs unless things go right. And by "right" I mean, for one thing, the Panthers need to miss the playoffs and as much as I like CM I want a repeat of last week's outcome: a fantastic game for CM and about 4 ints for sCam and a "L" in the outcome.

Also, even as a lifelong Dallas fan, as weird as it's going to feel I want Philly to overtake them down the stretch and eliminate the Prescott & Elliott show.

Six teams in each conference could mean this never before scenario of half of the starting QBs being quite undesirable and I don't believe that's ever happened in NFL history. The jock sniffers will be beside themselves with giddy negrophilia as follows:

NFC:
sCam
Wilson
Prescott

AFC:
Watson
Mahommes
Eraserhead Jackson

The talk show talking heads will be slobbering with an endless narrative if this befalls us.

Sorry CM, get 2000 APY, get in the Pro Bowl, whatever, just don't make the playoffs unless sCam is out with an injury.

Same with the others team's scenarios. I saw this happening years ago. More and more and more of this and the league bent on it. Might as well be the NBA with 90+% Blacks...

Not to be that guy, but the NBA does still have nearly a quarter White players, something like 22-24% so although that's not a huge number there's enough there to make things interesting once in a while. The NFL is mostly Black, too, but the fact that most of the best quarterbacks continue to still be White, the absolute most important position, makes things interesting at times, too.

I think in a fair world the NFL should be something like 75% White at Least, with offenses being 90%+ White and defenses around 60-70%. Just my opinion.

However even though it's been empirically proven that more White presence not only creates a higher quality entertainment product but also superior chance of victory, pro sports are in many ways a welfare system for certain Blacks and they consider it their birthright to be gifted jobs there even if it's totally obvious a White guy is miles better. It's also unfashionable politically for any team to have "too many" Whites because again, the powers that be want to spin a narrative that only the "best" play and if a team has too many Whites and that team regularly does well or even destroys mostly-Black teams, the narrative is threatened.

So the beat goes on, year after year, and nothing will change unless a new league is made on a fictional planet.

TruthTeller and Giovani,

Thanks for the details. I hear you guys and I concur. I guess I am just a bit caught up in the current state of affairs. A bit of the blues has me in a defeatist-bent lately. You guys are on target with the facts. For that I'm much obliged.

"Defeatist" thy name is Conservative, conservatism by definition is defeat. Life is a negotiation, but since the racket of conservatism is ran by intellectuals we get endless amounts of useless jibber jabber instead of tough minded negotiations.

Nothing much to do with a foot of snow here in NC. Looking forward to watching CM against Cleveland. CF members keep me informed on other players today. Thanks

Poor replay officiating already that was incomplete, and now Philbin doubles down

Oakland is supposedly getting rid of their black GM Reggie McKenzie after the season. With Gruden in charge of player personnel completely who knows what will happen - it cannot get much worse. If the OSU Quoatback commits I could see Chucky drafting him. It sounds like Carr is done in Oakland anyways.
