Sometimes a package that looks like a gift is actually something more sinister. The Gil Brandt website despite their attempt to disguise their caste stance cannot hide their mission to subtly undercut white skill players. I consider a DE/Edge player a skill position. Below are just two of many text book examples this year. This wouldn't be a big deal if Brandt was just some offshore draft clown with a website. Far from it as he is seen as a wise draft guru and his toxic influence is far ranging.
[ Case number one] Brandt posted DE Sam Hubbard's 40 time in quick fashion. In fact he inflated the times that were listed adding .05 to.08 seconds to what was listed elsewhere. This trick of adding time to white athlete's 40 yard dash time is a staple of Brandt's website. I saw that trick several times last year as well.
Yet Brandt SKIPS reporting on another highly touted front and center SEC DE Arden Key who ran his 40 yard dash a touch slower than Hubbard even though Key who is noticeably smaller than Hubbard, was expected to burn through the 40 yard dash time.
[Case number two] Brandt wastes no time reporting on the "fast" times of every Tom, Dick and Harry black player. And he always posts the fastest times available.
So when it comes to WR Justin Watson if Brandt was consistent he would have listed a 4.35 40 yard dash. Walkerfootball has Watson at 4.39 but the time settled around 4.41-4.42 seconds on most reports. Based on the reports I would stick with Walterfootball's time of 4.39 seconds ( some had him at 4.35) which turns into a 4.42 NFL Combine type of time if done properly. Keep in mind Brandt does not convert pro day times. So when a black WR runs an inflated 4.37 Brandt does not convert it into a more realistic time of 4.44 seconds.
I thought I was seeing things when Brandt "predicted" Watson would get picked in the 4th round because he is hearing good things about him. So a full hog endorsement of a white WR by Brandt right? WRONG. He slyly cuts off the balls of Watson with a menacing little twist. He posts Watson's pro day numbers including his 40 " vertical which was accurate.Yet when it comes to the "all important" 40 he pushes it up to 4.44 seconds a time that NO ONE has listed anywhere. The highest 40 was listed at 4.42 and they even admitted at Penn that Watson's time was faster than that. But the biggest killer was this add on by Brandt---a 4.44 40 "on a fast track."
Below is a more accurate assessment of Watson's pro day 40 yard dash.

This despicable old creep has NEVER MENTIONED the phrase FAST TRACK when it comes to the black skill players and their so called "swift" times which is a joke because many of these schools like Oklahoma use greased tracks for crying out loud. A total hypocrite totally exposed. This butthole and his website needs to be sent out to pasture as fast as humanly possible.
The sad part is the scouts listen to what he has to say and swallow it lock, stock and barrel. Hence every stinking year we don't hear enough white WR's names called come draft time.
