I can't believe what Ramil acheved. It has to be the the first gold medal for a white sprint champion in an olympics or world champs since Kosta Kenteris of Greece back in 2000. He had allegations thrown his way later on but I won't get into that. We need to pull up some track champs history. I would guess before that it would be Valery Borzov back in 1980 with the double gold medal at the olympics over 100 & 200 meters. Allan Wells? Others? We need some history here.
It is an incredible acheivment. In my opinion this jumps above what Lemaitre has done. Even though Christophe has been on the medal stand at the world champs & olympics, it was never a gold medal. Simply incredible acheivment by Ramil Guliyev. I'm so happy right now. I just wish Ramils father could have lived to have seen what his son accomplished today! I'm sure he saw it from up above though. Congrat Ramil. You are a true champion on and off the track!
