2017 season

Here is a picture that U of Oregon did promoting Hannah Cunliffe's 60M win earlier this year:

So what! Aren't you a football " dad " ? I forgot who the idiot poster was on here but was bragging about trying to get in touch with the alleged female poster la lablanche something. She is pretty but what does that have to do with track and field? Match.com is not on this forum. :)

And here is an interesting picture of Jenna Prandini earlier this year running a mixed 4 x 100(!) with Usain Bolt:

I like the pics. Thanks. Both of these ladies are beautiful and so amazing on & off the track. Good luck to both of them this weekend at the US Track & Field Championships!

Thought you guys and gals would like to see vintage Hannah, here is a race Hannah ran at the Miami Classic 5 years ago, love the result. Try to listen to the comments in the background......

Hannah, Jenna made it through to the 100m semis, Jenna ran 11.05 Hannah 11.12, both will have to run alot faster to make it out of the semi's.

Carly Muscaro made it to the semi's in the 400m 51.86. She ran for Merrimack College D2 as a Senior, she has alot of natural talent and is ever improving....someone to watch I think.

P.S.
In Hannah's post race interview she mentions she feels she can go sub 11 and she is feeling healthy

USA Track should change the qualifying format, example the mens 800m the 5th and 6th place finishers from the first heat would have come 1-2 in the second heat of semi finals. The top 2 0r the top 3 in each heat plus the next fastest times should qualify, not the top 4 in each heat. Two of the faster guys didn't get to qualify and that sucks badly for them...just my opinion...

Love watching Evan Jaeger run the 3000m Steeple chase, this guy is a remarkable athlete, won the SC yesterday for the USA's with ease but someone(American) please explain to me how the US Army can bypass regular US Immigration rules and have Kenyans running for US titles. It was sad to see the "real" American just get nipped at the line for 3rd which would have punched his ticket to London. I feel bad for this guy as he lost to 2 guys who have no right competing for the US. Does the US Sports Federation not feel they have enough "homegrown" talent that they have to import runners?

Any info or enlightenment would be much appreciated.

The US army and other government agencies have always fast tracked people for citizenship with unique skills who wanted to become citizens. In most cases it was a scientist or a spy. This is much more dubious as all these guys are "B grade Kenyans" who run.

It's funny but the US middle and long distance running scene has never been stronger than at the moment so this is totally unnecessary.

He has been around marginally at the pro level but South Korean 26 year old sprinter , Kukyoung Kim, ran a 10.07 100 meters with a 0.8 mph tailwind in South Korea. I have seen him post some good 200 meter times the last year and I think he ran a 10.16 100 meters 2 years ago but it is nice to see someone without ancestry from Western Africa breaking the mold. There are now either 10 whites or Asians this year under 10.10 in the 100. Now if Kilty, Ruess, and Lemaitre could get into form the worlds might be watchable this year as " our ' depth has never been greater.

I am fairly positive that if Hortelano was able to run this year(injury free) he would go sub 10 as his PB is 10.06 as well the 20.12 200m clocking from Rio indicates he was ready to crack 20.00 before the car accident derailed him for this year...

I'm still mildly irritated he doesn't run for Australia since he was born here . He is eligible to run for Spain ,Canada and Australia. Hard to miss an Olympic spot with those options

Are any of the australian sprinters gonna compete in Europe this summer?

So much young talent down under but they need experience and to be battle tested off home soil.

I have mentioned her before so I thought I would bump it up again. Sage Watson won the NCAA women's 400mh title this year and is someone to watch in the near future. She and Georganne Moline train together and this training has brought Sage to another level as well as helping Moline run sub 54 in the 400mh. Sage's PB is 54.52 and she continues to get faster everytime out.

So talented and very beautiful. I would love to date her. I hope she continues to shine on and off the track!

Some good news and bad news from the U.K. National Championships.

First off the good news. Danny Talbot took 2nd in the 200 meters in a new p.b. of 20.20! It was a photo finish. This
is huge for him as he is having a great summer. Adam Gemeli finished in 6th place and he was limping after the race. Gemeli
opted out of the 100 meters race to focus on the deuce. It still didn't work out. He looks injured both physically and mentally. At least he is young so there will be plenty of more opportunites.

One last thing. Richard Kilty was injured and missed the Nat'l Champs. Such a shame as time is running out for him. Glad he is married with a son now but I'm hoping he can still go sub 10 if nothing else before his career ends. He might have a few good years left. We shall see. Good luck to Kilty and Gemeli the rest of the summer.

That's a few times now Gemeli is getting injured. Kilty hasn't made much of a splash this year either.
The Australians have qualified a men's 4 x 100 for London but they have very little speed and will have to pass perfectly to stay in the mix for the next round. 1 x 10.20s and 3 x 10.30s guys doesn't make me confident at all.
Ellla Nelson will run the 200 (she pipped Prandini out of the semis last year) but I'm not sure how her American training is going. She ran 22.50 last year but hasn't broken 23 this year

What has happened to Jack Hale? I know he is only a teenager but I want to see him running more. I'm guessing he is having growing pains as he gets taller like what has happened with Kristoffer Hari. Both of these guys have the tools necessary.

Still hoping to see someone from down under get back to Shrivos level. Those were exciting times.
