Good to see you still around, veritas! I'd like to see you post a little more often.

I'm hoping Arkansas is able to knock off the Tar Heels; if anything, it'd make the road for Butler and potentially UCLA easier.

I'm shocked Arkansas is giving NC such fits. I really did not think they were a good team at all. Maybe this shows how flawed the Tar Heels are.

I'm hoping a better-drilled team like Butler will be able to knock off UNC in the Sweet 16. They'll most definitely need to overcame the lopsided officiating to do this. UNC only got called for four fouls the entire 2nd half!! There was a 25-8 FT difference as well. I've watched UNC enough times this year to know that's ridiculous, especially playing a physical team like Arkansas.

Finally, we have a couple of our teams coming up: Duke is tipping against South Carolina in 10 minutes, and then UCLA will be in about an hour.

I can't support UCLA even with the presence of the elite white players because this lonzo ball character has been built up by the media and his moronic father.

Duke and UCLA need to get their act together; the Blue Devils down 7 in the 2nd half in a HOME game for South Carolina yet again. Simply ludicrous that a two seed is playing what amounts to a road contest.

Duke was out of rhythm all game. The venue sure was to their disadvantage but they simply didn't bring their best today. It happens. Just unfortunate that today was one of those days.

Agreed; their freshman played like freshman; Tatum and Jackson had 10(!) turnovers put together! Kennard wasn't good offensively for his 2nd game in a row, and that didn't help matters. The only positive is the fact that Grayson Allen again led the way in scoring. I was just commenting earlier on the fact that a #7 seed getting defacto home games almost never happens.

As for UCLA, I hate Ball's hype and his idiot dad as much as anybody, but I'm still hoping they win. I'd rather see a team with three pale faces (three of the four best on the team I might add) on the court 75% + of the time rather than a dark as night squad like UNC or a despicable squad like Kentucky or Baylor winning. I sure as hell am cheering for them to knock off Cincy tonight, as well as Kentucky and probably UNC in the next two rounds.

Now Wisconsin is the only palatable choice in the East.

On the bright side, UCLA is really heating up now. I really badly want to see the mentally ill Cronin and his racist squad sent home.

On the bright side for Duke, they should get a little whiter next year. I'm sure Tatum and probably Giles are gone, and they have two white bench players who'll probably play bigger roles next year. I can't see Allen or Kennard leaving, although it's possible.

UCLA looking good! It's looking like Cronin and his all-black team are about to be sent packing. Alford, Welsh, and Leaf all playing great.

Ball's on court persona is quite unselfish.
His moronic father is the problem. Ball Sr. is basically Williams Sr. 2.0. Has there ever been a college dad that has been on the various sports talk shows to pimp his kid and brand ware without the son earning a dollar as a pro?

Also if Ball were fully White would he even be considered such a can't miss prospect?

I'd agree with this. Ball's dad and the media are the real problem here, hyping him to the skies and making him seem like he's the only reason UCLA wins games, when it should be the team getting more of the credit. I've never actually heard Ball himself say something selfish or damaging to the team. His dad is easily the most annoying person I've seen in sports in a long time, and that's really saying something.

I think one of the reasons that Ball is playing so good is that he has such a good supporting cast. He's got fellow freshman phenom TJ Leaf leading the team in scoring and FG% in addition to helping out on defense and rebounding. I think Leaf is just a good a prospect as Ball is. Ball also has one of the best face-up shooting centers in recent memory with Thomas Welsh. I've never seen a guy more automatic from 15 feet than Welsh is. In addition, he's got three great scoring guards in Bryce Alford and Isaac Hamilton, along with Aaron Holiday off the bench as the 6th man. All three of these guys can get hot and carry the team on a given night, and they all can drive to the basket in addition to draining threes. Alford in particular is having one of the best shooting seasons in history, which is cementing him among the all-time best at UCLA. I believe he's Top 3 in three pointers made already. The Bruins also have two good bench post players in Goloman and Anigbogu, who are more than capable when Welsh and Leaf need breathers. I'd love to see how Ball would do without such a talented group of players around him. He's a good player, no doubt, but I think the team helps to make him look good as well.

Big article in the Sports Illustrated March 20th issue on UCONN's Katie Lou Samuelson. Terrific player and very attractive (to me at least) and that makes a great combination . UCONN is going for their 5th straight championship as they advanced to the Sweet Sixteen last night. Katie Lou chipped in with 23 points 5 boards and 4 dimes.

I really hate this West Virginia team. This game is the same old story. Constant fouls on WVU, yet Gonzaga is called for more fouls.

Gonzaga is not a white friendly team (this year anyway), but we have a tendency to think of them that way because of their past track record. Their only white starter is center Karnawski who's a good player (12.5ppg, 6rpg), but compared to some of the athletic white players they've had in the past, he's just a big slow guy with a soft touch. To me, it's a lot more exciting when a team has white players at the somewhat forbidden backcourt positions such as Koenig, Alford, Allen, Kennard, et al, to go athletic big men such as TJ Leaf and Markannen.

Xavier and Arizona was a wash with each playing 2 whites. It'll be the same with Xavier-Gonzaga. I hope UCLA and Wisconsin can reach the final four.

I got bumped out of the survivor pool I was in last night when Xavier somehow beat Arizona. If Wisconsin and UCLA can reach the Final Four, that would really be something.

Gonzaga isn't as white friendly as they usually are, but they are still better than odious Huggins-coached West Virginia, which every year in a 90%+ white state fields a team with a rotation that is all black or has at the most one white player. In the land of Jerry West Huggins somehow can't find more good white players. Of course if you don't go looking for something you can't find it. It's usually the same thing with the WVU football team, though I guess this past season WVU football was slightly more white friendly then usual.

An early Dunk-a-Thon for UCLA vs Kentucky....TJ Leaf on the put back...Thomas Welsh & 1...and Golomon driving dunk!

Wisconsin got hosed being an 8-seed..What a Joke!

Lonso Ball was very mortal in the Sweet 16 match today. He missed many 3 point attempts and didn't look like a future NBA superstar. Hopefully it slows down his father's pro wrestling manager act. Once Welsh was in foul trouble Kentucky went inside and flew to the bucket and the game wasn't in doubt.

Well tonight was crushing. I don't think I'll be watching very much of the tournament from here on out.

I suppose the winner of Gonzaga and Xavier would be the best option.....
