The game that interested me the most last night, Eastern Michigan vs. Bowling Green was on ESPN 3 and whatever that is, I don't get it. As reported earlier by Rocky RB Ian Eriksen was solid and finished with a 24-104-3 stat line in the victory. WR Scotty Miller put up decent numbers with a 8-98 stat line. Miller finished the season with a decent (but not great) stat line of 63-722-4. Next season will be their senior seasons and both are probably thought of as being in the marginal NFL draft zone but if they can put together say 1,000 yard seasons they have enough talent to warrant getting drafted in the lower half of the draft. One of the things to watch for next season.
Consider Miller's junior numbers and you have to say this season was a let down. His 2016 stat line was 74-968-10. One encouraging sign is the past few games he was more involved and they have a new QB who might have a clue. Ian Eriksen will headline a young and exciting Eastern Michigan team next year.
On a more minor note Miami (Ohio) WR Jared Murphy finished his career with a 7-83-1 stats line in a victory. It is too bad neither Murphy or teammate Sam Martin couldn't get beyond just OK careers. I remember when they were promising freshman.
I sure hope something good happens this Saturday. Getting tired of being let down.
